Manchester United is already late in being the English Premier League contenders, what Amorim can comfortably achieve is top 4, unless Liverpool begins to misbehave just as Manchester city is doing. But the possibility of this happening is so low.
Agreed!!
Lets set the record straight...Top 6 is not happening for Manchester United, the board chose to keep Erik Ten Hag after beating City and thinking things will improve but instead it was their worst decision as the man was on his way out but they entertained him and has left the team 6 feet under now...but with the coming of Amorim, anything below 10 should be a win for the club and that should be what to aim for as the team is undergoing surgery.
Their decision to keep the previous ten hag with a series of defeats actually caused a lot of controversy and questions from fans, although maybe currently Manchester United is in a critical condition but I think the arrival of Amorim at least gives hope for their revival later,  the season has entered its 11th week and there are still 27 games left for Manchester United to improve their current position, ending the season in the 6th position may seem difficult, but if you reflect on what happened to Chelsea in end last season of course Manchester hopes still any, while the hope of playing in the Champions League next seaso, of course winning the Europa League this season could be an alternative path for them if they fail to end the season in the league zone champions this season.

Yes, retaining Ten Hag was the biggest mistake made by Manchester United management, they seemed to turn a blind eye to what happened to the club during his leadership. Manchester United's downfall was due to Ten Hag's inability to manage the team well, in fact, Van Nistelrooy was able to achieve 3 wins in four matches, whereas in the Ten Hag era, Manchester United always had difficulty achieving victory.

The EPL has just finished playing 11 games, there are still 27 games left until the end of the season, meaning that Manchester United still has the chance to finish in a better position (maybe in the top 6), that too depends on the results achieved during Amorim's leadership. The spirit of the players who managed to achieve positive results under Van Nistelrooy's leadership needs to be maintained so that they can improve their position in the standings.

But the point is, Manchester United cannot yet be linked to a trophy candidate team, because Ruben Amorim also still needs a process to successfully improve the quality of Manchester United's performance,  and that is not at all easy.
Yes, in reality, Manchester United must first fix the existing squad. Their target cannot be directly to be the champion premier league, but how to win in all events, and make the team cohesive with each other. I think it's hard for them if want to compete with Liverpool and Manchester City in this session because their points are too far away to chase it. Amorim still has to look at the material squad first. He still had to review which players were being kept and which ones should be expended. We have to see the movement on the winter windows transfer, will they buy a lot of new players or not be so active, because it will affect their performance on the future.

The 2024/2025 Premier League is shaping up to be another exciting season. Manchester City remains the team to beat, but Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all strong contenders for the title.

Manchester United are definitely not contenders for the title. Maybe Amorim can improve them but they are in 13th place, already 13 points behind Liverpool.

It would be a great achievement for Amorim to even haul their big bunch of underachievers into a CL spot this season. I think that is even very doubtful.

But the possibility of this happening is so low. So, it is fine that we all agree that Manchester United is not contenders for the English Premier League title. That is the side effect of Erik Ten Hang.

In the other hand, there's still a good chance for Manchester United and Amorim in the Europa league. Plenty of good legs are not there. The squad is there for Amorim, what he needs is to motivate the players to give their best.

I don't see complications in the Premier League but a change of era. It will be terrible for Premier League for them to allow Manchester City to win the Premier League for the 5th time. That will clearly send a message that Premier League belongs to Manchester City and it will turn to a farmers league that they used to mock Laliga back then, it will just looks like the table has turn around. If Arsenal is even the one on the top of the table, I will make me happier than any other fans.

Chelsea deserve any recognition and PR they are having right now. It's been a long time since those guys taste that top 4 and they can finally has the opportunity to go for Champions League. If Chelsea doesn't over take over Manchester City right now they have he opportunity with good performance, it might be difficult to do later because the way Manchester City camp is silent, they must be really preparing for surprise any time soon.
4 consecutive times is a clear signal that Manchester City owns the Premier League title. Nothing is needed to prove that. Winning for the 5th time would only mean that other Premier League teams are incapable of doing anything about it and they are weak. INcluding the other teams that have put in efforts to take the league from City. Teams like Liverpool and Arsenal are in the best position to stop the era of Manchester City, they fail every season due to one or two minor mistakes along the line.

Also, for Chelsea, they have improved and with the look of things, they can possibly qualify to the UCL next season if they maintain consistency. But let us not forget how difficult the league can be during the first quarter of next year. And this year, I don't refer to any team as a small team. The League is getting tougher and every team has stepped up their game.

The Premier League is getting more complicated than we realize because, if you look at Manchester City and Arsenal, they are not doing well, and the only team in the lead right now is not Liverpool. Despite a lot of effort from all clubs, it isn't working out for them, and the only team enjoying the league and winning is Liverpool. I don't even understand why you are bringing up Manchester United; they are even worse than the other teams, and if they weren't fired, at least they would have improved.

Chelsea is even better than Manchester United because, ever since they started the season, things have not been going well, and, with the momentum they have had so far, it is impossible that they won't finish in the top three. And all this club you are mentioning have nothing to offer this season worst is even Manchester United so their is nothing more important than been among the top three.

TBH, I don't have any confidence in who will get the title this season, because the points difference between Liverpool and Man City is not too far, only 5 points and it is very easy to catch up. There is no guarantee that Liverpool will continue to provide a large score difference, but I believe that the competition will continue to occur before the two teams have a difference of 9 points or above.
On the one hand, when the transfer market opens, many teams will experience changes between increasing performance or decreasing performance.
We'll see after the next 2 months.

The race for the title this season is becoming very confusing and you can’t be so sure that a team will win it after so many uncertainties happening which are unforeseen before now. Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are the top three teams that are always talked about for the premier league title, but it seems now that Arsenal and Manchester city cannot be dependent on to maintain their consistency. On the other hand, we see teams like Chelsea grooming up faster and want to also compete for the title race. Manchester United now have a new manager that wants to also be at his best and give the team a trophy this season also. The competition is getting tougher and we may see a lot more of things in the coming weeks.

Manchester City are in a difficult situation this season after they fell behind Liverpool in the Premier League table, Rodri's injury being one of the reasons for their current slump, I think losing a defensive midfielder like Rodri should be an experience for them, for the importance of having a reserve player who also has the same quality and ability as the main players.

A team will always have a reserve player but they can never be as good as the main player because if they were, they could have been playing them also sometimes. Manchester City have learnt a very big lesson from Rodri’s injury and now that many teams now know where their lapses is coming from, they’re ready to take advantage of it and get a good win on them this season after facing a lot of defeat from their hands in the past. They still have time though, but I don’t think they can be as good as they’ve always been when they have Rodri on board with them to play.

For Arsenal it has become their habit to return with declining performance, even this season is too fast compared to last season. Arteta has fought hard to give his best but unfortunately the mental problems of the players at Arsenal prove that his players are not so inspired by the champion mentality. Arsenal repeats the momentum that is not much different every season where at the beginning of the season they insist on performing optimally and slipping at the end, everything becomes more interesting when Liverpool returns to the hunt for the championship title.
Everyone have known them already with the inconsistency they show, for how many seasons now they always fail towards the end after showing good performances at the beginning of the season. It is now more like a habit for them and even the fans don’t expect much from them again, they have failed even when they had more chances of winning the league and lost it to Guardiola.

The player are not so bad and Arteta is doing a great job and with the kind of solid defense they have they should be able to win the league but the attackers are not complementing the defense properly, they lack good attackers it’s only Saka that is better, they need to add a left winger and a prolific striker that way they can fully compete because Havertz and Martinelli are not really good enough and productive as they should.

Did you just mention Manchester United among the league contenders? Don’t you check the table and see the position that Manchester United is? I don’t really think Manchester United is among the league contenders for the league title this season, because their performance has been so poor since the beginning of the season, and they are currently in a poor position. I know Manchester United is having a new coach, and everyone is expecting Manchester United's performance to improve, but I don’t think Manchester United fans should even think about winning the premier league title this season.

The season is still too early to conclude on the team that will be qualifying for the Champions League, but with the way Tottenham has been playing this season, I think that’s just going to be difficult for them. I have confidence in Chelsea to end the season in the top 4 if they continue with their good performance.

I also wonder why Manchester United are included in his assumption to compete for trophies. Despite the fact, since the departure of Alex Ferguson that Manchester United are no longer able to  become a competing team in the race for trophies. So yes, it is very surprising why Manchester United are still included because in fact, Manchester United are also only in 13th position at the moment with 15 points, while Liverpool who are at the top of the standings have 28 points. But the point is, Manchester United cannot yet be linked to a trophy candidate team, because Ruben Amorim also still needs a process to successfully improve the quality of Manchester United's performance,  and that is not at all easy.

The 2024/2025 Premier League is shaping up to be another exciting season. Manchester City remains the team to beat, but Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all strong contenders for the title. The fight for Champions League spots will be intense, with Tottenham and Chelsea aiming for a bounce-back season. Brighton and Newcastle continue to impress, while relegation battles could be fierce for clubs like Sheffield United and Luton. Fans of Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal are especially hyped for the competition this year!
Sheffield and Luton Town are not playing in the premier League this season, they were relegated at the end of last season, so I'm not very sure if you know what you are talking about. Probably you should look at the premier League table and see the teams that are playing in the premier League this season. Instead of considering Manchester United as a strong contender for the league title, considering Chelsea who are in the 3rd position would be more appealing than Manchester United who are still far from the top position. Manchester United should try and see if they can finish in the top 4, but I think it will be more difficult for them, because Arsenal are more likely to take the remaining spot than Manchester United, that's if they can be able to dislodge Nottingham forest. Tottenham Hotspur will not be able to make it up to the top 5 this season if they continue with their poor performance, as they have not been consistent with their games.

I think this is one of the most interesting matches to watch. Currently both teams have 19 points and also have the same number of wins and losses. Both teams also have goal records that are not much different. It's like both teams are on the same level. But I think we all know Arsenal is a team that has a higher value than Nottingham Forest. If you look at the quality of the players, of course Arsenal will be able to win the match. But as you said, football is not just about individual quality. This is an 11vs11 game where tactics and cooperation between players and between lines can have an impact on the outcome of the match. This is the same as Leverkusen in the previous season who surprisingly beat Munich who had players with a much higher market value than Leverkusen. Of course we can't compare Leverkusen with Nottingham Forest. But I think if Nottingham Forest can play solidly, at least they will be able to get 1 point from this match. They are really not favored but statistically they should have a chance to make Arsenal fail to get 3 points.

What City has to figure out is two things, it is not just Rodri, but also Peps contract as well as the 115 charges situation. As long as they have that hovering above their head they are not going to face anything good at all for a long time.

They need to fix those situations before they realize what's going to be a good thing and not, imagine a scenario where they are punished and even their trophies are taken down and they are fined a lot of money, then they can't recover from that easily at all and will face a lot of long time with a lot of issues without a doubt.

I believe the best way to move forward would be just focusing on how to get greater return for what they have, and for that to mean something we need to focus on how they can get rid of these first.

In addition to player injury problems, of course Guardiola's contract which is about to expire should be their main concern, but the good news is that Guardiola's contract problems are starting to find clarity at this time, through the latest tweet @fabrizio Romano, it is reported that they have prepared all the contract extension documents and Guardiola is also rumored to have agreed on the terms of a short-term contract until 2026.

If we talk about the 115 indictments, I think it's not a Manchester City problem but rather it should be an FA problem for them to solve, because for Manchester City the indictment doesn't seem to exist, because in fact until now they are still very safe from punishment Grin.

This kind of competition is what is expected, Liverpool return makes Man City have to reflect more on their abilities, they have to realize that the sky will not always be cloudy. What Man City experienced this season was clearly beyond their expectations because so far Arsenal has been their only toughest competitor, but Liverpool is not Arsenal, they performed very consistently and Arne Slot immediately made an evaluation after they lost to Nottingham Forest and now they have not been touched by defeat including in the UCL. The EPL is not the Bundesliga where one team can dominate by retaining the trophy for 11 consecutive seasons or Seria A when Juventus won the Scudetto for 9 consecutive seasons, Man City must realize that.
TBH, I don't have any confidence in who will get the title this season, because the points difference between Liverpool and Man City is not too far, only 5 points and it is very easy to catch up. Now is not the right time for us to choose which team will lift the trophy even though we have seen a little picture in this season Liverpool and Man City have great ambitions to become champions but because there are still many matches left and also on the standings the points are not too far between the two changes in position can still occur, Liverpool will also not always be consistent in one or two matches will experience obstacles also conversely Man City will not always perform badly or there is another possibility Arsenal and Chelsea can follow who knows all possibilities in the future can still happen and the January transfer market will also affect the overall performance of the team not only the strong candidate team but also the underdog team will experience changes if they bring in players from outside.

The problem faced by Manchester City this season is not just injuries to several key players, Liverpool increasing performance is also a factor that Manchester City is starting to have difficulty dominating the standings. If Liverpool had not performed as well as they have this season, Manchester City might still be at the top of the standings. Now Arne Slot is a big threat to Guardiola in dominating the EPL, Liverpool is still consistently maintaining its best performance and this is clearly not good news for Manchester City.
I agree that Man City is not really regressing, it's just that with Liverpool back on track and in their most consistent form, so Man City existence looks like it is regressing, when in fact it is not too significant. Regardless I'm quite happy with Liverpool's comeback as a reminder to Man City that they can't hold onto the Premier League forever.
You talk as if you have the confidence that Liverpool have already won the league. For me I still believe that the league is still open for any of the top teams to win.  I know Liverpool have been doing very well so far but they can still be stopped before the season comes to an end. They are just simply enjoying the moment and I don't have confidence that they will be able to sustain this because the team as it is now is built on two or three players with Mo Salah as the main person.

Manchester City can still win the league if they start winning all their matches and scoring many goals. It is only Arsenal that I have doubts in winning the league based on their history.
