The downswing in Bitcoin price is due to the recent threats and issues coming from the government and banks. This issue of banning Bitcoin in other countries spreads FUD in many investors. It's high time BTC advocates here began spreading good news about BTC to remove the FUD and clear the air of the unreal terrorism tags on BTC
Also because of the many altcoins trying to enter the market to beat Bitcoin. Just saying. 
That doesn't make sense. Vast majority of altcoins dropped even harder than Bitcoin.
If I think the bitcoin down is not too big. There is still a price different from the year 2009 where the bitcoin price is not worth the price.
It's absurd what the administrator of MT Gox is doing. He's selling the bitcoins. He must be earning some bribe from some exchange to do the negotiation. There's no sense in him wanting to sell the bitcoins. He should return the bitcoins (or part of them) to the customers who were harmed.

Your info was quite true, while they do not have new strategies to keep bitcoin up it really affects the prices since there are negative news about bitcoin that the new potential investors might think was true so instead of investing on bitcoin they would rather choose other alts now.

Your giving tips was so helpful ,but i have my own ,bitcoin price was droping in the reasons of some news regarding bitcoin but sometime it was a good effect to the price,and other one is investors or also know as big whales they sell their bitcoin in this is main reasons why bitcoin price is dropping.

There are possibility that some pump and dump group do their work.
they buy bitcoin with the high price, and later they dump to make holders panic sell their bitcoin.
and they buyback with the cheaper price.

When the value of cryptocurrency is at low price, some of the investor or anyone who are involve in bitcoin do the panic selling so thats the reason why the value of bitcoin droping.
Those people who fear that their money will just go for nothing sell their bitcoin. Due to that the droping of the value is continuous, they dont mind even they had the bitcoin at high price and sell it low price.
