Panthers @ $2.10 was a great price - hard to bet against them, I had them at $1.90 too.
Its very brave to go again with them for the 2025 season, why not though! I'm not sure
about Storm though, OK they have been fairly consistent over the last few years,

2023 - finishing 3rd on the ladder
2022 - finishing 5th on the ladder
2021 - finishing 1st on the ladder
2020 - finishing 2nd on the ladder
2019 - finishing 1st on the ladder
2018 - finishing 1st on the ladder
2017 - finishing 1st on the ladder

and from 2020 the Panthers have been either in 1st or 2nd position on the ladder . . .
maybe they are worth a bet indeed.

Leinster to win the URC Championship this year is a solid bet but the South African teams
have been so strong. Leinster being so close to both the URC title and the European
Champions Cup last year will be really itching for some silverware this year.

At kickoff, the Melbourne Storm were $1.77 with the Penrith Panthers sitting at $2.10 - by the 70th minute the Storm's price was $26.00 and betting had been suspended on the Panthers.

A week ago when the two teams had been decided, I bet on the Panthers at $1.90 to win (both teams were at $1.90 for the first four days) I also put money on the Panthers winning by 1-12 points ($3.90).

I also bet on the Women's Roosters in what I thought was a more thrilling game - the hens out 24 point on the board in the first (35 minute) half then didn't score again until nearly full time while the Sharks crept ever closer with a number of tries.

Early betting on Penrith next year is at $4.50 and Melbourne ($4) so Ive put $10 on both teams to win (makes the odds 2:1 but still)

(CloudFlare playing up again yesterday). I would have liked to make mention putting bets on five favourites yesterday.

England's Women, Clermont and the Saracens all won so all up I picked up $250 in wins and cross team parlays .

(And if I'm not mistaken, the New Zealand men won over England paying out $2.50 🥳 )

I'll keep an eye on Leinster who are sitting at $3.50 to win the series. (I've put $5 on them to win 🤪 )

Wigin to win next weekend!

Well my 54.5 over bet on Benetton and Leinster didnt work out - Benetton 5 - 35 Leinster.

I know its early days but after 3 rounds Leinster hit the top spot unbeaten, I figure
they will go for the most part of the season unbeaten.

NRL
Yes it happened, 4 straight titles in a row. Panthers take the title, Storm 6 - 14 Panthers.

As I said, Panthers are a different animal when they get into the Grand Final.

Thats interesting that the Storm have taken the favourites tag. I still think the
Panthers are a different animal when they reach the grand final.

In the URC yesterday my bet on Connacht just about won when they beat Scarlets
23 - 24. Close match which came down to the wire with a penalty kick with a few
minutes to go.

That was followed by Cardiff Rugby 36 - 52 Glasgow Warriors. Savagely great match.

Following on from Rounds 1 and 2 this round is shaping up to be fill of big scores.
I have gone with an over 54.5 bet between Benetton and Leinster.

I've been in CloudFlare purgatory all week - the Melbourne Storm ($1.80) are edging ahead of the Penrith Panthers ($2) with the game expected to be one for the ages (especially if Penrith win a fourth straight premiership)

My pics last weekend for the northern rugby games were all on the favourites with only half winning their matches, So, I just about broke even.  (I might stick with picking just the favourites for a few more weeks until there's a clearer picture of which teams are having upset wins).

The Lions to win at home to Ulster
The Bulls to win at home to Edinburgh
Connacht to win at home to the Sharks
Stormers to win away to the Ospreys.

One upset from last weekends round 2 matches were that the Stormers lost away to the Ospreys.
I really thought they would win but I guess they were missing key players because of the Rugby
Championship deciding match against Argentina.

Top side Munster were battered by Italian side Zebra Parma 42 v 33

Round 3 incoming this Friday and my interest in on the first match.

Connacht after winning at home against the Sharks have to travel to Wales to play Scarlets,
its going to be tricky but they are still favourites @ 1.47

Another silly and idiot start of the game for Argentina, we always do the same in key matches, we need to work on that, i cant say is weakness but seems like anxiety or something like that, we allways starts the games like shit, and you cant allways comeback from a  shit start, two games in a row starting -10+ points.... no sense.

I know, very frustrating. Its hard to come back into a match against the likes of
the springbok's but to only score one converted try is dissapointing. They have to
move on now and build on this record year!

‘Gutted’: Same old story as Wallabies’ horror record extended despite gutsy effort v All Blacks

The Wallabies’ Test drought in New Zealand extended to 23 years when their brave challenge in Wellington was repelled by an All Blacks’ onslaught on Saturday.

The Wallabies were worthy leaders at 13-12 a tick before half-time but were swamped 21-0 from there to lose 33-13.

Even though the Wallabies won just one of their six games in The Rugby Championship, the final two hours of the tournament against the All Blacks in Sydney and Wellington produced their most positive play.

You can set your watch by the regular number of losses Australia has had in the Bledisloe Cup.

Argentina as Dart observed earlier, just didn't have what it takes against South Africa - but they're getting closer with each game.

Connaught, Blue Bulls, Lions and Warrington have all won their matches so far this weekend as have Taranaki and the Bay of Plenty.

The Panthers progress to the Grand final after their closer scoring game last night. The early money after the game is on the Panthers winning their fourth straight final - something that hasn't happened since 1966 when Saint George won their fourth straight final.

Ah it was too much in the end for Australia against New Zealand. The drought
continues for the wallabies.

Storm v Panthers - yea it was kind of inevitable really. Now where to put a bet on
this 2 horse race? I'm thinking the Panthers because they are not new to grand finals
and will be very eager to get the job dont ... again.

@darbitmobilerecovery - nice one - definitely worth a chance!

@Timelord2067 - very dissapointed with the Broncos this season, its been a kind of
complete turnaround from last year having reached the Grand Final. On the other hand
the likes of Storm, Panthers, Sharks, Roosters have been fairly consistent for a few seasons.

URC - Round 2 is in progress this weekend.
I have a few small bets on:

The Lions to win at home to Ulster
The Bulls to win at home to Edinburgh
Connacht to win at home to the Sharks
Stormers to win away to the Ospreys.

The heads are beginning to roll with the Broncos coach well and truely falling on his sword late in the week after the Broncos finished in twelfth place on the ladder. I still recall last year's finals series where they threw their game "refusing to convert a try" hoping to score a try in the last ten minutes to avoid facing the Panthers the following week.

In last night's game, the Storm must have set a record with one of their players sent off just seventeen SECONDS after kick off. The Roosters answered with a two point field goal, but were unable to convert a try minutes later.

No sooner than the Storm player came back from a ten minutes than the Storm scored and converted to set the scores at six all less than fifteen minutes in.

By half time the score was 24 - 6 but ten minutes into the second half, the Roosters had scored twice more, but then the Storm scored one of their own to take the score to 30 - 18 by the 60th minute after which point the Storm simply poured on the points to guarantee themselves a Grand final berth.

Failing an upset win by the Sharks tonight (and the online money says that's not to happen), it will be a Storm Vs Panthers Final next weekend.

Australia is still sitting at $9 and Argentina at $8 So a $1 parlay comes in at $72 😁

While I'd like to see Australia and Argentina win their respective games, the firm money is on their opponents.

It's the Grand final of the aerial ping pong version of the game. Brisbane are the dark horse underdogs and opinions are firmly divided as to who is going to win.

I just receive some freebet from other competition of football sponsored by SB so i decided to spend it in Argentina Rugby.

Lets go Pumas! All the country is with you! We need to win score 4 try and dont let South Africa won a bonus point.

They can beat them - that is if they
1. can make the right on field decisions for 80 minutes
2. can keep the mistakes to a very minimum
3. not let the occasion get to them if they are leading with 60 minutes gone!

this is the Pumas best year if I'm not mistaken with 3 wins!

In terms of winning the championship I dont think its possible, SA have 3 bonus points, ARG only
have 2, its going to be a close game if Argentina win so SA will probably get another BP.
Thats the way I see it.

Have you got your bet on?

I agree with you but, Argentine discipline is not the best as always.

And plus South Africa is not gonna let Los Pumas mock them in their home.

The only thing in favour of Argentina is the heart and the hope and motivation of make a mayor win and maybe just maybe win for first time an important title, but like you said is very difficult to see that happening.

About a bet... well im not a Rugby specialist my field is the football like you can see in my signature im running a football competition here in the forum. But maybe just for fun i put a bet on my country. I like high odds on bets  Grin

But this is the closest they have come to winning a competition so hopefully
they can get their heads right, they have the technical ability to win its just how
they go about it. Definitely worth an small outside bet

NRL - finals week 3 - winners proceed to Grand Final

As expected Storm book their place in the final with a 30 point win over the Roosters,
48 - 18. Tomorrow its Panthers v Sharks - I'm kind of hoping the Sharks can provide
us with an all new final line up!

Both Argentina and Australia's odds have blown out to $9 for their next matchups with South Africa ($1.05) and New Zealand ($1.06). I've put $5 on Argentina and just $1 on Australia who will probably want to reclaim their pride loosing the Bledisloe Cup's first game.

In the NPC Taranaki, Wellington, Bay of Plenty, Auckland, Tasman and Waikato are the favourites to win this weekend.

I have just checked the odds on Argentina there now and they seem to have closed a bit over
the last few days to 7.80! I have a $5 bet on too on Argentina! I think they have a better chance
of beating South Africa than Australia have of beating New Zealand . . . sorry Timelord!

Well we all know Argentina chances to win back to back against South Africa and in his home are nearby to zero, but well we are gonna try to make some noise there.

Also South Africa is gonna play with the A team as i hear, so more and more in favour of them.

David againts goliath.

Anyone with money on Argentina certainly would have cleaned up with their one point win over South Africa overnight.

I've got to say having some up and coming teams who are breaking through the obstacles put up by more well established powerhouse teams makes the uncertainty of "who is going to win?" all the more worth while watching.

Wagers on the six nations are already open (The final is not untill March) with the early money already heavily on Ireland winning.

Yes I'm sure there were a few who had money on Argentina to win, the odds werent
crazy high. Looking at the odds for the replay and possible title decider, they  are
now 10! nobody fancies them to beat the springboks on the double.

It is indeed nice to see Argentina in the mix or a shout for the title, that could massive!

Jeez, the six nations is over 4 months away, it kicks off on January 31st, cant
believe betting is open. One thing about Ireland is that defense coach Simon
Easterby will be in charge while Andy Farrell takes a coaching sabbatical to
coach the British and Irish Lions this year!

Yea Storm and Panthers have been the two top teams all season, Storm particularly
have been at the top of the table since early on in the season. A bet on both to go to
the final makes sense.

Damn, a try in the 83'rd minute from the Dragons to beat the Ospreys was a sucker
punch for the Ospreys followed by the conversion to win.

hard to see Argentina
winning it but they are capable of an upset, its just when?

Big win of Argentina making another step into being a strong team.

And why not dream about winning the Rugby Championship?  Wink

I know is super dificult to win against the springboks back to back , but well here is the chance, and i hope we take it.

BOOM - like I said they are capable of an upset and they did it @ 4.25 odds before
the match. Delighted for them.
