Cornett,

what is wrong if people speaks about sdc price, why does it make you uncomfortable

tell me honestly man, 3-4 motnhs before now, what was your price expectation about sdc just after the mainnet ZK release???

dont tell me i never thought on it or etc...tell me honestly

If to be honest - I'm not an Nostradamus. My price expectations are exceeded long time ago. I'm not trying to guess any value, I only see clearly that it stable and confidently grows, that's enough for me. Look at the Longterm chart and you'll understand this. Everyday i can trade another coins, but only in shadows i invest.

are you serious???...me, you and most of the people here know you are not honest with your answer

anyway, better we close this subject now

You asked - I answered. If you do not understand - this is your problem. I'm not going to argue with a stranger.

Mostly Agreed. Except the part where your price expectations exceeded long time ago? Did u mine this baby out or what? We're trading ~$0.10??

Altho Im sure you can appreciate my position.

For some individuals - why are you so angry at the price? Nobody forces you to invest in something, what you do not believe. If you want to see mega pump here and make a lot of money in several days - go to the Paycoin, Fuel2coin, Blocknet etc. or any other whales-manipulated scam projects. This project is free of manipulators and at the same time it's free of pumper's cartels. But look at yourself, most of you're just observers here, you do not take part in the development of the project, but at the same time you are always outraged when the price does not grow. It's so funny

Some advices:

1)If you are addicted on the price, you should leave the project
2)If you are afraid for the future of SDC, you should leave the project. (Because everybody with brains knows that the future of project with such talented and unique devs will be great)
3)If you are promoting SDC attacking other projects, you should leave the project.

We need a healthy and positive army of people in this community, who will not cry at the every normal market drop. We need strong and longterm investors, instead of impatient kids who's buying at 30k and selling at 20k. Lol
We need speakers, analysts, designers, programmers, tech dreamers and crypto philosophers, or just healthy people with the normal brains. We must strive for excellence.

Plesae no personal advice. Sure - I'm pissed… don't think the tech is appreciated (yet). I'll be patient.

I am normally pretty healthy and positive, just a little pissed atm. forgive me. merry xmas.

p.s. r u dissing me? on xmas?? nice, lol

We don't have to fight with DRK & XMR guys, must accept any points of view and have normal debates. SDC is one of the most honest and for sure the most technologically advanced altcoin project. We must strive for excellence.

Isn't the real truth that the altcoin market is just a bit stupid? Am I breaking some kind of taboo by saying that?

That seems a much more likely explanation than "a guy who owns Shadow once trolled my coin", or "a developer of another coin made some statements that weren't 100% complimentary".

The altcoin market is just - for the most part - pretty stupid. I'd be surprised if anyone involved with a legitimate project or who trades a bit doesn't feel the same. It's what's allowed guys like BobSurplus to hustle so many BTC out of people.

And this prevalence of scams has made it much harder for legitimate projects like Shadow to cut through the noise. But it is happening. It's Xmas after all so it's not surprising that some people may've been forced to convert some of their SDC to BTC or fiat.

I've started to look at the people posting in the thread and the size of the community as measurements of the project's success. Because, as I mentioned, I think the altcoin market for the most part is stupid. Personally I'm really glad to have guys like smooth posting here - the level of discourse on this thread is so far above what it was a couple of months ago it's hard to believe. I've learnt something new almost every day since the anon release just from reading peoples' posts here. An echo-chamber/circle-jerk is of no use to anyone - and given the stupidity of the market and the prevalence of scams I'd be pretty suspicious of anyone who isn't now sceptical of projects they haven't heard of. But as has been said by others, many people come here with the intention of dismissing the project, and then never leave. With good reason. It takes time to change peoples' minds, but it isn't so difficult when you have something genuinely innovative and valuable to offer.

This situation is retarded (no offence to retards)

If you just stop trolling about the other more established and mature projects, this place should look better for newcomers.

Act professionally with the necessary respect!

I'm not trolling. My points about DS and the Monero wallet (lack of) only serve to highlight my bewilderment about the reaction to SSv2.

I think its the best thing out there. A working wallet with bleeding edge anon… Nothing touches it. Or am I missing something? Please tell me.

BTW: spurious comments about this community are moot. Irregardless of the past (I happen to think the old guard of this community are great) this community is growing every day and adding new voices. Always good vibes in irc Smiley

it looks like there is a problem with blockexplorer

http://explorer.shadow.cash - is not working

http://shadow.blockexplorer.cc/chain/ShadowCash - it always shows block 261965 is the last one

wallet shows latest block as 262363

when i transfer sdc from bittrex, it doesnt show up in my wallet

am i the only one who noticed this?

maybe needs an update after hard fork? would seem the obvious answer?

I don't doubt that fluffypony and smooth are "smart" but their statements have undoubtedly affected the price of SDC without justification IMO

LOL if you think I influence the price.

Seriously, alts are in a tough spot, 90+% of them are down a lot this year, regardless of merit. BTC too.

I thought what I said about shadowsend was largely positive (certainly compared to most of the crap out there), but (some of) you guys are just a bit too competitive and defensive to see it that way.

I am not a Team member. I speak for myself.

As one of the first established devs to weigh in (together with ur colleagure fluffypony) I believe ur comments did play a role, yes. I will re-read them.

Id be wary of casting aspersions on competitiveness. After all we have this in common, yes? A healthy competition which ultimately benefits the end user.

Good Luck.

+ merry christmas etc

Interesting you say this because as a newbie I brought SDC this week and today I noticed on Bittrex the wallet was disabled for a bit. Also, still having issue with the wallet file.. ; /

Where do we go from here? Continue to build the marketplaces, the crypto, the anon and the Community.

Until there is a goods market for SDC, the price will be totally controlled by the vagaries of day traders who care nothing about the technology and the anonymity.

Importing the boot file did not work. Also, just as the person that was having issue with the link you provided, I have Windows 8 64-bit as well. Is there anything else that I can try? Does anybody else have the SDC wallet 1.3.06 working on Windows 8 64-bit?

Thanks SebSebastian - will try it now and let you know if it works.

Any reason why I would be seeing 0 active networks? This is the same result on two computers that I have.

Using the bootstrap often helps, the instructions are in this post, hopefully that sorts it out.

This situation is retarded (no offence to retards)

The main competition as far as I can work out is DarkCoin which is currently experiencing massive difficulties with DarkSend, and Monero which does not have a working GUI wallet and based on their recent "fireside talk vlog", which I watched, they have a great deal of work left in front of them.

I don't doubt that fluffypony and smooth are "smart" but their statements have undoubtedly affected the price of SDC without justification IMO. They have not studied the code properly and have "reached" to their conclusions based on a cursory look at the paper. If this analysis is wrong please correct me.. Given the time of year Ryno has been mostly unavailable for comment, which has not helped the price. It would be nice to hear from devs who aren't in direct competition with SDC regarding the merits of shadowsend v2.

As far as I can tell Shadow offers the best anon solution in crypto today. I'd add that the use of a disappearing Shadow token in this model speaks to the name of the currency beautifully.

Where do we go from here? Continue to build the marketplaces, the crypto, the anon and the Community.
