I am currently doing just the opposite, exchange the ethereum I owned for bitcoin, which seems to be a big stable and should be pumping in a few weeks, I hope.
At this point in time to do this is not exactly right. Bitcoin is much more stable than any altcoin. This is especially evident on such drawdown market as it is now. By the way, Ethereum doing now are not for the better.
On the off chance that you have enough bitcoin in your portfolio, you can offer some of it and purchase ethereum in light of the fact that they are great coin to have and you don't have to offer all your bitcoin to purchase ethereum. don't exchange bitcoin and buy ethereum, if you already have bitcoin, just save it until the price rises again. it's a pity if bitcoin is sold at a cheap price and then replaced with ethereum, please don't do it. you better add investment in ethereum without selling bitcoin.
Its a good idea. But its not good if turn all your bitcoin into ethereum. Maybe you should convert half of you bitcoin into ethereum. Bitcoin is always great. And it will be great in the future.

I did this in January. At that time BTC was $ 12000 and ETH was $ 1100. I had a lot of losses. But I still hope for the future of ETH.

It is quite frustrating now and converting your Bitcoin to Ethereum in this period of unprecedented market, I think banking your hopes on ethereum buy selling your bitcoin is a very big risk, considering the fact that ethereum is gradually slopping down the graphic curve daily.
For now is not a food decision because the ethereum price is falling down and the bitcoin have a highest price now i suggest to you dot do that choose bitcoin now.
Based on market conditions nowadays, I don't think it's safe to do so. Cause it's better to have several positions, it's better to have ethereum and bitcoin together. You can sell some of your bitcoin and buy other coins, like ethereum or EOS, qtum, for instance. We know that way putting all your eggs in one basket is a not a clever strategy. Good luck mate.

i guess that currently it is wise to convert all of your btc in to ethereum, because eth was dumped too low. In january or february BTC dropped to 6000 and eth was like 700-800. So I believe currently eth is undervaluated!
I think it is a good strategy to take advantage of this dip that is suffering ETH, of course, bitcoin is also dropping, but ETH is being affected more, so it is better to at least take out part of your investment in btc to invest an extra amount while eth falls.

if that's what you think you can decide anytime you want, there is no need to ask anyone for your investment, since it is your own money. dont depend your every decision to any individual you didnt know.Yes, however investment decisions based on self-analysis are better, and certainly will make you confident. Bitcoin and ethereum are two coins that are good for investment, and you are free to determine the best coin from both.
How about sell a 25% fraction of bitcoin to buy Ethereum. Personally I wouldn't sell my bitcoin for any altcoin but I would invest in altcoin all together with bit coin because these two coin has much greater potential which is sure for now.
I think bitcoin is a better piece of investment, though it depends on how long you have been holding them, if you are one of those that invested when it was worth pennnies, than you should definitely wait for at least another point to turn them into something else.

I do not think it's a good idea. At the moment, the ETH is not very reliable, it's better to keep your bitcoin. So it is more reliable.

better think of it by yourself, because I did the same thing and I actually regret it, the sudden dump of ethereum is really a pain, and I dont know when this dump will end. it is so hard to see my holdings to drop so easily.Jump to:
