No, and that's what's alarming about the whole thing. To me it seems very reasonable they got the info by hacking. If that is true who knows what evidence they could have planted on the servers or even Ross' laptop. I'm not saying that did happen but it also wouldn't surprise me if someone in the FBI used dirty tricks. We already know there was two dirty cops working undercover and they were the ones that set the whole murder for hire charge up in the first place so what else did they do to get the charges to stick.

You sure about that? Because even after the government's strategic defamation of Ross, the fourth most popular site on the internet seems to care about him a great deal. Imagine the rage if he hadn't been painted as a murderer.

Ross certainly wasn't an expert on bitcoin tech. In fact, wasn't that one of the things he sought help with on these forums in trying to hire people to help him with the integration of bitcoin? I don't doubt his intelligence but I don't think he was an expert in bitcoin and certainly not one that could have gone on to improve on bitcoin in any significant way. Besides, whether we like it or not Ross has done his part for bitcoin and Silk Road will always be a milestone in helping it get to where it was today.


Why would they need to do this? The public wouldn't care about him or how jumped up the charges were regardless of the murder for hire charge was true or not. As far as they would be concerned they arrested the internets biggest drug dealer and they wont care whether he gets 10-20-30-life.

The reason for the (dropped) murder charge was to get Ross in the news as a drug king-pin who had people killed, and to associate cartel level drug trafficking / murder with silkroad in the minds of the public, so that when he eventually got the harshest sentence possible (natural life without possibility of parole) there would be no resistance from the public. This is not about justice, it's the state abusing its power to make a terrifying example which should frighten others who might think to do the same.

Turns out the agents involved in bringing down the Silk Road were actually involved in more criminal activity than DPR himself, but that is ignored - the law is allowed to break the law in order to serve the law.
When those who are charged to uphold the law themselves behave as if they are above the law, then you know there is no real justice to be had.

I've been self employed for a decade, didn't "cut corners" and wasn't "priced out".  Maybe your experience tells you something different.

graft, cunning and dishonesty brings rewards these days. Hard work brings student debt and job insecurity at best.

If you work hard an well in  your job, your boss is likely to fire you anyway as you are likely a threat.

If you go self employed and don't cut corners in business you get priced out and shoddy jobs are done, passed off as good work.

The luminaries do what? Google = advertiser/info collector on you, yeah that really helps. Facebook = talk crap 80% of the time and advertiser. Microsoft, pump out bad OS year in year out. Actual real OS / software thats free = Linux and its retail market share is small.

I thought the U.S. didn't believe in torture? If they decided that they never wanted him to be in society again for the rest of his life then the death penalty is the humane action. Spending 50 years trapped in a box until you're insane is cruel and inhumane. If he was a dog and you locked it in a box for a year and got caught you'd be punished. Do people have less value than a dog to the U.S. Government?

Court Sometimes need strong acceptable evidence which court can't deny properly. I think Mr Ross Ulbricht couldn't submitted to court for his innocence. I m very much appreciate what he did for people which is really great appreciation deserve for... bur Mr Ross also a human who can do mistake which absolutely possible to by unexpected even. But I think he suppose to appeal higher court then where he got life sentenced. Anyway my best wishes he will release by his great work which is he did for normal people and he really deserve free of life....
