On a more positive note, West Ham 0-5 Liverpool. Slot’s winning machine keeps churning out results and long may it continue.
Yup, really impressive once again. We're a much better team without Nunez, I really like the composition with Gakpo on the left and Diaz upfront.
When they rotate it's a whole different team composition and it's really hard to defend against, especially considering that you have Trent and Salah to cover on the other side too.

I'm really looking forward to the remainder of the season, I won't have any expectations nor title dreams just yet.
I wonder why Nunez hasn't been on top of his form like he was at Benfica? Like he was at Liverpool it's still difficult to improve, and it's good with the front line of Gakpo and Diaz.

Crazy Salah is still hard to stop but he still hasn't gotten any contract extension, Trent Arnold will be looked at more.

I think half the season has been controlled by Liverpool, just waiting for the moment when they win the title.

West Ham today buddy, what are you thinking? I think we win by a couple of goals.
Easy peasy  Grin
I expected win for Liverpool, but this was total domination by Liverpool and another big step towards winning the title.
Biggest surprise for me in this round is Nottingham, they won another match against Everton and they are now in second place.
I am not sure how long they can keep up this results, but they earned respect so far.

I’ve slipped from 3rd to 13th in the table after two bade match weeks. Just shows how tough these pools are.

Please don't drag the bottom table with me, I've already accepted my faith this season;
You are doing well. There are some bastards who are challenging both of us LOL.

City finally won, I was considering another draw from them though 😂

Is anyone brave enough to bet against Manchester City in Leicester match?
Maybe Manchester City will secure a victory today. They have already encouraged a lot of bettors to place bet against them by their terrible performances in the last few matches.
Yeah it looked like Manchester City were going to win they were already leading by 2 goals, Haaland scored again after a long time.
Picked this one for a draw but it wasn't, maybe there were still doubts but thankfully now they're winning with a lower team, so it's natural to win.

Thank you Chelsea - finally found some reasons to drink to stupor today at a very nice view.  Merry Christmas everyone Cheesy

Nice, I’m not drinking until New Years Eve now, had too much over Christmas. I’m expecting Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool to win their games for this match week. I guess you never know with Man City now, feels weird to watch their games not caring what they do Grin

That must have been fun, bet you missed the stands. Leicester City might feel they have a chance at points today? Strange but true...

Today has to be different. All the favourites have to win, right? We can't be getting such treats all the time, every time? Can we?

I have yet to taste the famous Nigerian Guinness. I'll make sure before 2030 Wink Enjoy more, Igebro.

Terrible week for me in the pool for the second week in a row. More positively for me personally though, Liverpool won yet again, your boy LFC_Bitcoin was at Anfield to see it. Here are a couple of pics from my seat -

Congrats to Mahdirakib for winning the Round 18 Yellow Cap
It was a good round for me. Still, I'm far away from the top ten. And I don't have any hope to get in there. Anyway, I didn't know that we have a dedicated discussion thread for the Premier League pool.

Get ready to cognates me to be first from the bottom of the table 😂

We played one less match than everyone else and the point gap is 6, who would have thought that we will have such amazing season so far. Let's get another win in West Ham.

Please don't drag the bottom table with me, I've already accepted my faith this season; I'm dreadful, and yet I kept forgetting to provide predictions for early kick-off matches. Last week I missed one, and this week I missed the City game. Lol

Good luck to Arne Slot, I feel sorry for Arteta - where was this City two seasons ago  Grin

If we are going to compete at this level we need to find a way to play without Saka. It is dissapointing that we do not have a like-for-like replacement and have to resort to shuffling the team around.
Next time you are at Anfield LFC_Bitcoin, you could help tell Salah we have a wide open slot on the right if he is feeling unappreciated.

Arsenal's problem could be easily fixed come January if the club is serious about it. There are many talented RWF all over the place. Our problem are two CBs and there are limited good CBs in Europe and we can't really get those good ones in January. Brighton Dunk is someone I would like us to have for a quick fix.

Salah is coming back home - once a blue is always a blue, we have a modernized stadium he will love it there. Coham is the biggest training facilities in London  Grin

He did day that he is more likely to stay if they get relegated than if they win the treble.

He did say he was going to quit if he found out that the club are dealing illegally but changed his tone later on.

Just look at the schedule for Manchester United in next three matches, tomorow they play against Newcastle, than against Liverpool in Premier League, and next against Arsenal in FA Cup  Grin
Newcastle played very good against them in previous H2H matches and I think they can do it again, and odds are very good on them.
I am expecting to see big surprises in this round, and it is time to see more goals after very dry boxing day.

City is terrible.
Yes, without Rodri they are terrible, but we can use this in our advantage Wink

You guys are different breeds without Saka and I hope to see that side of Arsenal today.

Only thing that goes against my theory is that Guardiola has recently signed a new deal. I can't imagine him doing that while knowing they are getting dropped.

Is anyone brave enough to bet against Manchester City in Leicester match?
They look terrible and both teams are missing important players.
City is terrible. My theory is that they already know they will be relegated due to Financial Fair Play breach and they simply lost the motivation. I was already suspicious about that when I have seen the odds for City relegation before season started around 10. Other top clubs had 600 or something like that. Then when I see them play without any real commitment I am thinking it is done deal. Just not official yet.

Only thing that goes against my theory is that Guardiola has recently signed a new deal. I can't imagine him doing that while knowing they are getting dropped.

Anyway not betting against them since Leicester is also super bad.

Fulham are a really great team. Each of the top teams have struggled against them this season at home or away from home. I did not see that match, but Chelsea looked to have played well from the highlights and created some good chances, same with Fulham. Now we just need a win to go second and properly kick-start out title challenge.

We were bad in the final quarter of the game, we could have done better but we got the best punishment for not killing off the game when we had the chance.

We are hobbling on one leg without Saka in the side. I am surprised Martinelli is not started on the right side, he was very good there in the cameo against Crystal Palace, but Jesus is a competent replacement, good time to continue his good run of form in front of goal.

We now definitely have to go into the transfer market and scoop up a RWF. We may have little bargaining power from a desperate position, but it has to be done to stay competitive this season.

Edit - Martinelli indeed starts on the right with Jesus through the middle. Got the wrong positioning from my source.

I didnt even have Man Utd to win i had a draw and was thinking it was realistic but Bruno Fernandes messed everything up. Man City was a big favorite and that is a slip. Haaland was just dissapointing again. While Chelsea i dont understand at all how you lose at home when leading 1-0 against Fulham, really wierd stuff today
Had guessed that Manchester United would lose so didn't pick United maybe Wolves were better and the guess was correct although only 1.5 points were earned while more picked United I see. Grin

It's not strange that the favorite has to lose/series this is not the desired result but we see how bad City is.
While Chelsea was a bit of a surprise to lose at home, and maybe a mistake from their defense.

For me its a risk picking over the favorites,in this situation i picked even draw hoping that i would get it but i guess that didnt happen aswell. I dont know how some players can pick Wolves to win only if they want to counter the result. Also for Chelsea against Fulham even those who want to counter the results didnt pick Fulham to win. I wouldnt be surprised in tonights matches to see some wierd things happen. Like Ipswich taking an early lead or something,i have seen everything in this round so far.
I think players choose Wolves because they are no longer convinced by Manchester United who have been bad for several seasons and it's just that few people choose Wolves.
Well,,, at Chelsea I was stuck in this match, I thought they would win at home but a surprise came their way.
Tonight's game might not have Arsenal cursed again.
