I didnt even have Man Utd to win i had a draw and was thinking it was realistic but Bruno Fernandes messed everything up. Man City was a big favorite and that is a slip. Haaland was just dissapointing again. While Chelsea i dont understand at all how you lose at home when leading 1-0 against Fulham, really wierd stuff today
Had guessed that Manchester United would lose so didn't pick United maybe Wolves were better and the guess was correct although only 1.5 points were earned while more picked United I see. Grin

It's not strange that the favorite has to lose/series this is not the desired result but we see how bad City is.
While Chelsea was a bit of a surprise to lose at home, and maybe a mistake from their defense.

For me its a risk picking over the favorites,in this situation i picked even draw hoping that i would get it but i guess that didnt happen aswell. I dont know how some players can pick Wolves to win only if they want to counter the result. Also for Chelsea against Fulham even those who want to counter the results didnt pick Fulham to win. I wouldnt be surprised in tonights matches to see some wierd things happen. Like Ipswich taking an early lead or something,i have seen everything in this round so far.

Fulham are a really great team. Each of the top teams have struggled against them this season at home or away from home. I did not see that match, but Chelsea looked to have played well from the highlights and created some good chances, same with Fulham. Now we just need a win to go second and properly kick-start out title challenge.

Terrible week for me in the pool for the second week in a row. More positively for me personally though, Liverpool won yet again, your boy LFC_Bitcoin was at Anfield to see it. Here are a couple of pics from my seat -
So you were part of that crazy energy that the Anfield was giving?

We really need to stop starting games slowly though. Chelsea dropped points, hopefully Ipswich can perform a Christmas miracle against Arsenal tonight.

What is wrong with the favorites today ? Such a bad round i think probobly my worst round ever. Was close to 5 correct results and ended up with one point only. So many favorites slipped up if Liverpool slips aswell it will be the wierdest round ever since the start of the season. Liverpool 1-1 Leicester currently lets see what will happen in second half
Newcastle and Liverpool won their matches, and I dont consider Man City and Man United to be real favorites for a long time this season.
I even took a double chance bet Everton in Sportsbet and I won, and odds was amazing on that, over 3.0 boosted I think.
Big thanks to friends from Everton  Grin I just wish I had better results in superbru pool

Just so shocking, Chelsea lost was the weirdest for me. Enzo Maresca needs to rethink his decision because I don't understand why it took him that long to make a sub when the game wasn't clicking for us and the sub didn't have any impact although you can't blame him as he had little time to make a difference.

Liverpool are just enjoying themselves without thinking about the results of other clubs. At the moment, I don't think they see any other team as competitors to their title chase. I thought the Mo Salah boxing day curse was going to be in effect today but I was wrong. Just checked and Liverpool won Leicester city 3:0.

Wow. City cannot catch a break. Haaland cannot catcha a break. Not watching games yet as out but saw a tiny clip on Twitter, mighty Everton scoring? And holding Citeh to a draw? Haaland tame shot, then offside off the simple header? What?
Despite us not being in a great shape, I am loving the memes around the "stay humble, eh" phrase, and that makes their slip up more enjoyable. 7th place is not a position I thought I will see City in by December.

United conceding another set piece goal (straight from a corner) and Bruno getting another red card for the season. Amorim will be getting some stick if they lose this match.

No he doesn't. You are forgetting finishing, the most important piece of striker's toolkit. And that one is pain to learn, you either have it or not. Of course you can improve upon it somewhat, but some players just have it and it is a must on the highest level.

Agreed. But the shot power is already very good; he just needs some more shooting drills to perfect his shooting skills, which can be learnt with a lot of practice. Also, don't forget that lack of confidence can also affect your shooting abilities - remember how one of the best finisher at Liverpool F. Torres came to Chelsea and couldn't shoot to save his life; the club had to hire a personal sprint and shooting coach for him. He was a horrible shooter, one of the worst I've seen in a Chelsea shirt--that's what low confidence does to these guys.

Wow. City cannot catch a break. Haaland cannot catcha a break. Not watching games yet as out but saw a tiny clip on Twitter, mighty Everton scoring? And holding Citeh to a draw? Haaland tame shot, then offside off the simple header? What?

Missing an important penalty like that in a game against a low block Everton is crazy. I'm enjoying this downfall.

We can't do without Ali or Robbo -- they make a real difference in training, off field, just general character. I know I'm basing this on Covid era training sessions but that to me was where you really saw the team and their effect on each other.

The only team that took the  league off your nose after topping in December are not longer in discussion this season. Arsenal might cause problems but I don't see us (Chelsea) posing any real threats.

That's because you're supporting the team. I've watched them play as a neutral more than any other rival this season and I really like them. Maybe it's just me, and my particular likes for certain players. The only weak link I see is Cucurella -- but I know the stats and ratings prove me otherwise.

As you can see from LFC_Bitcoin's post. We can only be most critical of the teams we support. Some kind of innate fear of jinxing.

Nunez have everything to be a top top striker - height, Pace, shot power and he's still young. I will take him over Nkunku every day of my life..

He always has a wrong decision when it comes to that last touch, be it a shot or pass for goal. You don't have time to make that decision so it is instinctive and it is always the wrong one for Nunez. I don't know how you can work on that one.

I hope so dude, I am naturally a pessimist with my team though. I have been hurt so many times. Chelsea will win it in the not too distant future because they have so many elite young players, plus a huge squad.

Maybe we have the edge due to a bit more experience of winning trophies and playing in big finals. It is a long season though, there will still be many twists and turns.

Yeah, I enjoy how we're already testing the waters and getting closer to a winning position; last season, we were more than 20 points behind the leaders, and now we're only a few points down, despite the squad's inexperience. One thing is certain: we will win the league before a London club does.

Nunez has some talent, but the only way to utilize it is to remove offside from the game and make football a 1-touch game. The guy would excel. In any other version of football he's a total liability.

We had the same issue with Jackson last season; he cost us a lot of points with those silly offsides, and he kept running and wasting great scoring opportunities, but that has improved this season. Strikers who lack offside awareness will always be an ass. Timo Werner and Moratta come to mind

Can Jota be that player for Liverpool or will the club need to make a big signing next summer?

Unavailability is liability - he's a waste of space.

I think every striker at the elite level has some raw talent, no other way to get there. Nunez will not be reaching the heights Liverpool expect of him though, being up there with Haaland as the most prolific strikers in the league. He definitely will not get the chance to get there under Slot if he did not utilize all the chances Klopp gave him.

Sell VVD to Real Madrid and free some wages for Trent and Salah or sell Trent to save everyone. The only reason Liverpool are still relaxed is no club is pushing real interest in either of those players.

I wouldn't sell Nunez, he's ass but we can see some obvious raw talent in him waiting to be harvested. The team can do without Allison and Robo.

You cannot sell them, their contracts are expiring. Top clubs surely want them, they are probably just waiting for the green light from their agents.

I can't recall a player I wanted to sell as much as I want to sell Nunez since Carroll/Benteke days.

You guys are playing better than everyone else and conceding fewer goals, which is very essential in the title fight. No one is catching up unless you guys become incredibly ass

So what you're saying is that there's a line of clubs wanting to sign Caicedo for 150 million?

Nope, but we're not getting anything below what we bought him- arguably one of the best DM in the league this season. This type of players are not many out there.

Quote
Yeah - I do. It's a silly situation - one I really don't like. I'd extend all 3 and cut the budget elsewhere - there isn't much deadwood in this team but Nunez is one that should go, Robertson can be another if you ask me.
I love Alisson, but I'd sell him too if it means Salah stays.

I really don't know what our budget is, but we didn't spend anything in the summer. The least we can do is extend our key players, although I do understand the risks of giving long-term contracts to older players.

At least Caciedo is proving his worth the money we paid for him and he's already up in value, can't say the same fo Nunez.

Signing Salah to a long term contract could affect Trent and VVD are you aware of that?
