^Regarding the bold part you are of course 100% correct. I knew that even before you have written it. My statement was meant more in a way that I don't think City will lose many points and Liverpool will have to work hard for title. That is the problem with written communication and conversing in a second language Smiley You can't convey nuances that well.

I actually read somewhere that 90% of fights in online forums is caused because of misunderstanding caused by poor choice of words rather then genuine difference of opinion. Makes you think  Huh

Damn, City played well today. Aguero scored 3 goals and even managed to miss from the best chance in the match. City has now gotten out of that rough patch and I have a feeling Lpool will have to win all their matches until the end of season if they want to be champions.

I feel sorry for Spurs. They are playing really well last few seasons but there is always somebody above them at the end. They are quietly wining their matches far away from media eyes. Nobody is even mentioning them as title contenders.

I think City will win it now to be honest but you’re wrong in the bolded. Man City are top but only by goal difference as they have played 1 game more. Liverpool could draw the game in hand & win the other 11 & be guaranteed champions.

I think both teams will drop points though to be honest. City have shown they can lose to crap teams & Liverpool draw to lower teams.

Ok, sharing my super predictions today, go ahead and copy them, easy points Wink

Chelsea were a bit fortunate last match against City but you know what? Sarri will get the better of Pep. A Willian goal orchestrated by Hazard for the slimmest 3 points possible.

Liverpool will return to a clean sheet winning way, and my 3-0 prediction should at least get a close score. I'll always remember Bournemouth for the 3-4 loss... just as Chelsea won't forget the 4-0 drubbing.

P.S. 13 more weeks, 13 more chances to get a bonus spot in the weeklies, so really guys, spend 15 minutes to just put in all your picks for the remainder of the season. You can always change them too later on.

I am expecting both games to be high scoring ones today and City should have much easier time wining then United. It must hurt Arsenal supporters when they see odds of 1.3-1.4 against their team.

Edit. City went as expected, but only one goal in United game surprised me.

Definitely hurt... and hard to ignore when bookies think you only have a 10/1 chance of an upset. City are strong but even against Liverpool Arsenal still had 3/1 odds, which shows just how far things have slid. I remember when it was almost 7/1 for a United upset against Juventus, so they will be glad to see the back of that.

Can't recall the last time I've seen Liverpool 4/1 on any game, even in Champions League it was only just above 3/1 against PSG or City.

3 points off the top and superior goal difference. City must be liking their chances.

Both Manchesters may win today, we have had enough of surprises during these 2 last week of the EPL. What week are we by the way as I have lost count ? 20 something I guess.

Arsenal odds just went above 10/1, I thought it would climb lower, wondering what kind of news filtered out to make the bookies adjust so much. Too bad I made my early bet yesterday "only" 9.3x if the Gunners win.

Weird week again, rather, although at this stage, very few results will be surprising, given the propensity of all the teams to drop points. If anything, United still not losing yet is the surprise of the year so far. If I were making a parlay of parlays, it'd be for a Leicester and Arsenal win... 33/1 the best I can see now!

^  And City drew which club and Liverpool drew Bayern is it?  So yeah...  Hopefully that helps them too.  Lol.  Grin

Well f*ck me.  I think I'm gonna owe somebody 30 bucks at the end of the season.  Rofl.

It is long way till the end of season, I am expecting more surprises as Champions League starts again and here I feel City has a bit of advantage because of more quality players on the bench. I had a feeling Lpool will have hard time wining that game. Pitch looked frozen and most players didn't look too comfortable on it.

Don't forget to put your picks in today. First game starts soon. Also, City has two matches this week so if they win both they can put some extra pressure on Lpool. If Liverpool loses (don't even want to think about that), City could be leading the PL by the end of Wednesday.

Indeed, long long way to the season. I'm a veteran of several false dawns already, and never tasted winning the Premier League, so I think as hungry as we all are, most of us know it's a marathon won one mile at a time (all of us except Lovren of course). City have the deeper squad, but Liverpool are hungrier and to be honest, less jaded. Like I said earlier though, whatever happens, we've already had a great season.

We just have to focus on ourselves, and let City do their best.

I made my picks last week actually, before knowing Newcastle would upturn City, so I'll leave my picks untouched even with all the upsets last week.

P.S. I will not bet like I predict. Hoping for another almost 10/1 win today or tomorrow by betting ML on Newcastle and Arsenal Wink Check out Fairlay, odds climbing above 9/1 in past 2 days!

Luckily for Citeh, only Mane was playing at peak last night. Felt like a very strange game and I know it's silly to say it was the weather (I've only played in snow once and my brown body couldn't take it heh) but everything looked "stuck" or something. Even Becker, kept doing really bad passes I'm actually shocked Henderson didn't look more uncomfortable. Bobby was great as usual just unlucky, I think we miss Trent a lot.

Hope Arsenal find their scoring boots properly against City. Hope Liverpool's back four is restored to some semblance. Need Gomez back in asap, and Trent, heal quickly!

P.S. Another low-scoring yellow cap this week.

Crap game, freezing cold too. The pitch was terrible, we couldn’t play our normal game. Really disappointed but it’s another poont clear at the top as City lost. We just need to dust ourselves down and beat West Ham on Monday. These night games aren’t great in this weather though. I want to see Fabinho start the West Ham game, I thought the midfield was crap last night. Milner will be well rested after being suspended too. He should start!

^  Not even Pep could win (or draw) vs Pep with that Newcastle squad.  Lol.

Losing would be more cos of City's fault than NUFC out playing them imho.

Sorry to take a dig at you, toke, but this is my biggest single win of the season so far: Newcastle at over 17/1. Should have taken it live too, think it went all the way to 30/1 after that 1-minute goal! Missed out on Palace and Leicester, glad I took this haha.

...  And Lol Citeh.  They're blowing it.  But I kinda feel happy for Klopp.  He's setting out to do what he said he would do when he took the job.

@buwaytress - Wow, what an opportunity to go 7 points clear if we win tonight. This is the best chance we’ll ever have to win the title. We need to take it one game at a time though & win tonoght.

Just for info City’s next 3 games are -

Arsenal (H)
Everton (A)
Chelsea (H)

They could drop more points in the coming weeks.

We must take care of our own business though. Leaving at 4pm for the game, it’s been snowing. Hopefully they don’t call it off  Undecided

I sure am ready, got 2 tickets for the game tomo night. Going to be freezing with 8pm kick off so will have to wrap up warm.

I’m reading VVD might be out with a sickness bug, not good if true.

I think we’ll beat Leicester regardless though. Have a feeling West Ham away on Monday night will be tough, I’m not going to that one.

Think City have Arsenal at the weekend & then Chelsea after that, praying one of those two can get a draw or more.

I think he was playing the Wolves game with a bug too, and then a few games before that, just took shots to numb the pain, what a soldier he's been! You're right though, Vardy loves a goal against Liverpool so he may yet score but I have a feeling Mo is slowly finding his space in that newish position, and Firminho is back in scoring form, Mane's never going to let their defence rest.

How about Rafa doing his old boys a favour eh? Praying we put 7 points between ourselves before Champs League. Wrap up, buddy. I'm only just recovering from really bad chills thanks to sudden exposure to cold and rain last week.

@LFC all set? Next two games will be City playing first so their turn to turn the screw for a bit, but I wonder if we can rely on Rafa to get a point off them tonight;)

Don't forget your picks guys, I'm going for 1st place today for sure, but don't let me win it too easily!

Thank God the midweek is back! Can't wait to get a few more EPL games underway before Champs League starts again in 2 weeks (or is it 3 now?). No more domestic cup games otherwise for my team, I wonder if we'll be seeing one or even two more new youngsters debut and play for the rest of the campaign? They'll do well, no doubt, judging from what I've already seen.

^  Yup Man United has the edge.  And judging both clubs by individual talent, Man United has the better squad imho.  But who knows...  Auba or Lacazette could get an early shot or two.
