What a mega idiot im, im i so much competitions that i forget to put the picks in this one for the first two matchs of today.

I was in the kitchen eating and seeing the games and my brain says "do you put the picks in Superbru?", and was.... fuck. So i go to the pc and put all my selections.

To be honest i would put Ecuador 1 Senegal 1 so i cant lie i dont lose any point Tongue.

Im really back now in the pool, i need a boost.

I did the same, missed the 1st game of the 2nd round and the first 2 games of the 3rd round.
I was given default picks though - but they didn't do me much good.

Currently I'm 25th - which I'm not too happy with Grin

Wales 0-3 England

On to the last 16 for Southgate’s men, as they set up a last 16 tie with Senegal. England will be very happy that Mane is injured. He could have caused them real problems. As it stands, I don’t expect much trouble for England in that game.

I’ve moved up to 10th place in our pool, just hanging on at the moment. I don’t to fall too far behind & stay in touch in time for the 1/4 finals. That’s when the assault begins to try & win the pool, the real business end of the tournament.

Wales ended their disappointin World Cup campaign with loss against England 0:3. Bale substituted at halftime probably marks end of his era.

would call it a Gary Speed era (although he passed away decade ago), he set them to be competitive in football, but after this, they will probably slide to irrelevance in next decade
England showed another great game, after not that good match with USA, and they are going to play Senegal, should not have to much to worry about
USA is facing Netherlands, that could be a bit more interesting, but Netherlands should not have too many issues as well

Ecuador - Senegal was great game, something like fight for place in playoffs is supposed to be. Ecuador managed to equalize score, but it didn't took long for Senegal to took a lead again. So, they reached next round.

To be honest this position doesn't seem offside when we look at from this angle. Referees started the game after that without even reviewing it for once. Ah! It's my luck as usual. If the referee called it a goal then I was going to have the opportunity to bet on England's over 2.5 and guarantee my bet. Sad

[

From this angle it's difficult to judge, but there was replay with 3D graphics and from it offisede was obvious:

I expected a lot more from Iran - but fair play to USA as well, they should have closed the game in the 1st half.

England routinely secured the win against Wales and saved my betting day in the process - I had 5 tickets on them today and all of them passed.

Tomorrow's games will be a lot more close - especially the late ones in group C.

USA was playing much better than Iran in first half, and deserved the lead, it could end up 0:2, but VAR is on the line again

England and Wales are in similar situation, England is much better, but the game does not seem that interesting (or it is just too hard for me to work and simultaneously watch two matches Smiley )

The good thing of today games is that is the first time that we did not see any surprise result, most likely because you cannot gamble in the last game of the group stages like many of the strong teams have done in the first two games, now here it is all or nothing in play so no surprises and for bettors I think this was a really good day if not the best of all tournament up until now.In the USA game there are 9 minutes of added time something new introduced in this World Cup by the president of FIFA who said people want to watch 90 minutes of effective football while the average they see in a game is 50 minutes of effective football so we should make up for the time lost and most games in this World Cup had a lot of added time.

As I'm expecting USA to score plenty of goals against Iran today, I predicted the most goal scoring team of the day as USA in Sportsbet's special bets. As we are leaving 2 matches behind it is enough for USA to score 2 goals for now. But England is the team I'm afraid of as they might explode today. Even though Southgate adopts a controlled game usually, the performance they showed against Iran in their first group match  shows their potential clearly.

Uff... 1:0 for the US boys. What a great goal by Christian Pulisic. Hopefully he didn't hurt himself too much and can continue playing. The collision right before the goal looked pretty pretty painful. Outsch...

But the way the USA is playing, we can certainly expect a few more goals in the second half. I honestly didn't expect such a dominant performance. Maybe one more even before half time?

/edit: And here we go 2:0 before half time? Offside? So close, lol.

From the picture you posted above, it looks pretty clearly like it's the correct call, the player in question's knee is above the last defender if you take his arm out of the picture and that's always the case when ruling for an offside.

England have broken the deadlock with 2 goals in quick succession, thanks to new introduced starters, Rashford and Foden, both players have been heavily involved in almost every attacking threat that England have so far, I guess that's the end of any atom of hope the Welsh team could have had coming into this game.

I also didn't see such convincingly dominant performance coming from USA beforehand, IRAN have done actually better against the other 2 opponents than USA fared against them, so I felt IRAN should be able to absolved all form of pressure from USA.  However, I just stumbled upon a tweet from @TrollFootball that compared the fixture to WW3 so, I supposed that's why USA had to put all their firepower out there, there wouldn't have been a worse team to lose against than IRAN for the USA.

I had Senegal as favorites, I'm fuming a bit because I had them to win with a handicap @ 8 odds. I expected Ecuador to open up a bit more at the end of the game.

I have the same bet in the next game, Iran to win with a handicap against USA - the odds are even better. Iran has shown more in my opinion so far, they are dangerous when given enough space and I hope they use it when USA starts to attack.
I am rooting for both to score in this one. Waiting just for that on a very nice multi ticket. Iran scored against England and Wales and showed quite a good attacking game in those games, I am sure they are able to score at least one goal. USA team played a great first half against Wales and I expect them to try similar tactics today and immediately set the tone of the game. If that happens we could have a good game and plenty of goals. Just hope USA doesn't opt for waiting game, then my bet is down the drain.

Word going round says Southgates team could be having four changes to bring in Foden and Marcus Rashford among them which tells you the seriousness the manager has given this game to qualify for the round of 16. Having to start Raheem in the first game was a gamble and it paid off, but form of a player should also be considered and hope Foden proves himself tonight with at least a goal. Let's go England, it's coming home  Cool

So big congratulations to Senegal, the first African team to make it further,I was not at all expecting such a bad play from Ecuador and Senegal took full advantage of their penalty and kept playing really well and got a well deserved qualifier.I think now the big event of tonight is without a doubt Iran vs USA and not only in sport level but also in political level, the bookies are heavily favoring the USA but I don't know what to expect from this game,I doubt Iran will surrender that easy as they are also in for a further qualification if they manage to get a draw at least against USA.

Netherlands just did their job today, nothing special, they took it very easy the game and that was to be expected.

How angry do you think Ronaldo will be after the goal was given to Bruno Fernandes instead of him? Grin

Portugal secured the knockouts, but I have to admit they don't excite me.
They are compact and don't give much to the opposition but from what they've shown so far, I don't think they'll last there for long.

I think Ronaljo did not lie when just before the start of the World Cup (or after the first round - I don’t remember exactly) he said that he would be happy to score 0 goals but that Portugal would win. So I don't think there is any problem here.
In the first round, Portugal disappointed me a lot, after that game I watched Brazil - Serbia and was shocked how much better both teams look than Portugal. But yesterday's game instilled a certain optimism in me - they began to play more dangerously and energetically, and only a couple of times during the match "lost control" of the game. Therefore, if you look at the trend, then I am satisfied.

The  Uruguayan star players "break it" in their teams but with the national team... a lot of drama in Uruguay it seems that they always have to be down on the scoreboard to react...

Giorgian has to go from the start against Ghana, and Valverde!  the tactical disposition keeps him at a level of efficiency that is not acceptable for Uruguay, let's hope he "wakes up" with a good game against Ghana.

For me Argentina has the best team of many because Brazil is less or better. I don't know most of their team players except the ones we all know but no one is excluded even their European team can surprise us all by winning. Argentina won the World Cup, and I think that's solely because Messi deserved it, I mean what's left to win in his career,
