For the top 10 I think it is easy to get there,I am 9 points away from top place and I am in 42th place so anything can happen in this pool,we are still early to recover.

The only problem this isnt the premier league pool this is the world cup,in premier league pool you have 38 rounds here you only have 3 group rounds and knockout faze and if you are not within 3-5 points before the group faze ends you are in deep trouble. I had 3-0 on Argentina and ended 2-0 and this is a bad result for me because everybody had their bets on Argentina to win.

Poland 2:0 Saudi Arabia, that moment when score doesn't reflect game. Saudi Arabia played very good football and if not Szczesny penalty save, nobody knows how it would ended. Finally Lewa scored his first World Cup goal and we saw how much it means for him.

Szczesny was the main man for Poland in this game, that penalty save plus rebound save which was even better plus a couple of other great saves kept Saudi Arabia at bay. I guess it had to be that way, Saudi Arabia scored 2 goals against Argentina with xG of 0.18 and then score 0 goals against Poland when they had to score at least 2 goals.

Messi goal was brilliant today, Mexico was tripling up on him and never giving him an inch, often making fouls while he is far from and then first time he had a little space, he scores. Second goal was really beautiful, Fernandez revitalized Argentina attack after coming on so I expect him to get a place in starting 11 for the final game. He earned it fir sure.

What a relief for Argentina. They didn't allowed Mexico to make something dangerous during whole game, but their win was so difficult. And these goals scored by Messi and especially Fernandez were so beautiful.

second round is a mystery for me so far, almost no results getting right, except for Poland against Saudi Arabia (and they certainly did not deserved that)

still, Argentina playing today, watching so far, they will not stay for long in Qatar, IMO

But I don't agree about England - although Wales are weak in terms of results, in a single match they can cause trouble for anyone and I don't think that England's victory is obvious or will be easy.

Quite a few favorites are struggling like Argentina and Germany but also Belgium and Netherlands didn't really convice so far. England didn't convince today as well but their game against Iran is still making them an interesting candidate for at least semi finals. After all, a loss in the first game can also be a wake up call if the remaining games are not too challenging (Argentina is still likely to advance to the next round while Germany is facing a difficult taksk against Spain).
I'm also not sure how to judge Brazil's win as I'm not really convinced of Brazil this year. Brazil vs. Suisse will probably give us more insights.

So, England, country where football was invented didn't managed to beat country where they call it soccer. Boring game, poor performance from England and there is way too many such dull matches in this World Cup. Now it's only matter of time when record of goaless draws will be beaten, probably before 3rd round.
I think we should say that Ecuador didn't managed to beat Nethlerlands, they looked better. But drespite draw, everything is good for Nethlerlands, they will have to take 3 points against Qatar, while Ecuador will face Senegal head to head for 2nd place in group.

It was the right decision in that game. The Saudi player suffered a horror injury in extra time. To be honest I prefer it when they actually play the correct amount of minutes as it negates time wasting which a lot of players take advantage of. Most of the time the ET seems to be completely random or not accurate at all. They should have a third official tallying up the actual injury time and time-wasting or maybe just stop the clock and have no injury time.

I dont know why england played so badly against Usa i know they needed a draw but with how good their team is i didnt expect of them to play that badly. Usa had so many chances but didnt convert them and now their position is really difficult while England is 99% in next round

Gareth Southgate looked really clueless with his ideas, he just brought in couple of players and used the exact template they play in their respective clubs, every of their subs looked really tactically dumb and no changes, Rashford for Saka and Henderson for Bellingham doesn't look tactically different, I was expecting a division from the 4-2-3-1 when it looked clearly not to be working for the team in the first half, but every of his changes when he finally decided he's had enough of it were just repetition of the same system, just different players.

Wow what a match day: Wales losing 0:2 to Iran. Netherlands draws 1:1 against Ecuador and England also draws 0:0 against the US. Who could have expected that? Damn.

Well, in this World Cup, the favorites are really having a hard time. So far, there have been more unexpected results than in a long time. The only teams that have really impressed me so far have been Spain, Brazil and France. The rest of the favorites either have big problems or are on the verge of being eliminated from the tournament (e.g. Germany).

Can't wait for the weekend. Watching football all day. Yeeesss. Cool
