We consider him inappropriate to fight a woman just because he has chromosomes or testosterone like a man, so does he have to fight a man even though he was born a woman, doesn't that also seem unfair to the gender equality that continues campaign by west  today?

This is not a big concern if we are talking a non-contact sports. But this is woman boxing while the subject in discussion has a DSD which means he has abnormal development for male.

Woman strength has its based limit while this athlete is clearly above everyone due to its abnormal state. He is taking advantage of this fact to dominate the sports that is capped with woman strength.

Woman division is sensitive because unlike men, they have more fragile body and limited strength due to the body limit.
This is funny. Do you know why? A few years back, when the same fighter everyone was accused of having a higher chromosome in women's boxing was losing her fight, and was even disqualified, Nobody raised this issue. Now, she manages to win her opponent in a quick run; everyone wants to make her feel bad of herself like she created herself and shouldn't participate with her fellow women.
All the criticism of her is not ideal. Carini and her fan base have to stop the hate and show some love to Khelif.

I think the issue is not about how those female lost the fight, Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 world championships after failing an unspecified gender eligibility test. So the question is why she allowed to compete again?

In any case, this is going to haunt the Paris Olympic committee for allowing here to fight. We thought that Olympics should be in even playing field? It's really complicated issue and again, this kind of case might drag women's boxing.

if she's a female by birth but only had a genetically stronger system than her fellow female counterpart and had competed in previous matches and has won some and lost some, I don't see a reason why this should be a big deal. While she was allowed to participate, what would have been the case had it been that she lost the fight to a fellow girl? It would have hard less attention compared to what has played out now. I feel her opponent possibly gave up on the fight intentionally and not necessarily because she wasn't a match against Khelif just to get these media talks that's currently going on now. It's also possible that based on the finding of the previous Olympic committee, they had reasonable evidence to disqualify her from participating in the then Olympics and if this current committee feels she deserves to participate, I don't see why she should be receiving this kind of trolling from the media houses.

I just want to share here and Congratulate Carlos Yulo a Filipino Gymnast for winning the Olympic gold medal, this is the second gold medal the Philippines has won in the Olympics.

because the IBA is the one who has done the test and they are not connected to the IOC in any way. the IOC has suspended the IBA from handling the boxing events in the Olympics(as far as I know the suspension happened before the Tokyo Olympics started) because of the suspected corruption that is going on in the IBA.

It is also worth noting that he is 51 years old. As for special equipment, it may not sound very serious, like anti-glare glasses and headphones (and a device to block the view of the second eye), but from the outside it looks extremely unnatural. For me, it would be logical if there were two separate categories - shooting with special technical means and without.

I've been seeing/reading a lot about this guy of late.  I love seeing how he's just a "natural" shooter and didn't /doesn't require all that fancy stuff that other shooters use.  Now to be fair he did take home silver, not gold, so you have to wonder if any of that special eye-wear would make enough of a difference for him that would have placed him in gold.  I honestly have no idea, just something I was kind of wondering to myself.

Yes, it would be very interesting to know how much these devices help shooters hit the target more accurately. I can assume that every little thing is very important there, for example, in air rifle shooting, judges control the stiffness of the athlete's jacket and if it is stiffer than specified in the rules, the shooter is disqualified. And all this is because a stiff jacket allows you to more clearly fix the rifle when aiming.

I don't know if there was such a branch in the previous Olympic Games, but I liked it very much.
We had 3×3 basketball in 2020 olympic games too.

In 2020 men's 3×3 tournament, Russia won the gold medal, Latvia won the silver medal and Serbia won the bronze medal.
In 2020 women's 3×3 tournament, United States won the gold medal, Russia won the silver medal and China won the bronze medal.

I couldn't follow the 2020 Olympic Games very much due to the time difference. There is a 6-7 hour time difference between us and Japan. Although it is not a big difference, I did not have the chance to watch it on TV.
It was nice that the 2024 Olympics were held in France as it eliminated the time difference and I had the opportunity to watch 3x3 for the first time.
This means that Russia will be assertive if it can make it to the games.

Alcaraz and Djokovic in the final yet again. It's just amazing seeing an injured Djokovic make it to the finals of the Wimbledon and Olympics recently which speaks volumes about his insane athletic ability.

I feel that Alcaraz will win yet again, but Djokovic would still get silver. Both are winners either way and am really excited for the final. Go Carlos! Vamos!

I'm sure we will watch a good finale. Djokovic has always been one of my favorite players, I will support him in the final. To be honest, I don't think he can win, but I want him to win more. Alcaraz's performance is better now. Being an Olympic champion would suit him very well. Everyone likes his playing style in recent years Smiley

And probably this will really cemented Djokovic's as the GOAT if he will win a Gold in this Olympics. It's one tournament that he needs to be added to his trophies. However, if he is injured and then facing a young Alcaraz, could be a difficult task.

In any case, he will improved his Bronze medal here, but definitely, a Gold is more suited and again as I have said, it will really separate him our other tennis greats if he wins here and probably this is going to be his last Olympics as well, so it's better for him to win the Gold medal. However, he is a big underdog in this game.

Lin Yu-ting - what about this boxer? https://www.bbc.com/sport/olympics/articles/cpv3vexdq1ro Another transgender and surprisingly again in boxing.

Maybe we should unleash "this" in the ring next time?

(It is Mike Tyson in Scary Movie 4)

FFS, these Olympic games has turned into such a joke. Starting from nonsense during opening ceremony performance, ending with this men-women scandals. Instead of discussing performance, people focus and waste time on those cheaters. Why those transgenders dont try to participate in sport, where physical strength does not matters? Why there are no transgenders in artistic gymnastics?

It isn’t just high testosterone. He has the chromosomes of a man. Many think that is what determines sex. Even if it was just a testosterone issue though, it still wouldn’t be fair. People are supposed to win at the Olympics because they’re the best in the world at what they do. Not because they have advantages over other competitors.
I am curious if you are just talking about hormones because this statement would basically disregard all the achievements of athletes who have biological advantages towards other athletes in the sports they are participating in.
Isn't it true that so far there are no special regulations that do not allow a woman who has chromosomes or testosterone to become an athlete, I personally think that what happened to Imane Khelif is very sensitive and requires a lot of consideration in decision making to determine whether she is worthy of boxing or not, because in this modern era there will be many negative impacts that occur when it comes to gender issues, nowadays we see a lot of people having bad opinions about Imane Khalif just because of her ability and strength which may be on par with male boxers, but she is still a woman and deserves to be fighting with women, the excess testosterone he currently has gives rise to a lot of controversy in his victory and the majority of us judge him as a transgender without seeing the real truth.

I am truly outraged by what happened, two athletes were thrown into the storm where the only ones who created problems were the clubs and those who hosted the games, let's say that it was both of their faults, she should have fought and not given up immediately it's the box, not a dance theater, while the other fighter Iman had to become aware that there is definitely something strange about her, having said that the victims are the two athletes and we are all the executioners!

I saw a single-hoop 3x3 basketball match for the first time in the Olympics and I liked it very much.
Serbia won the match between Serbia and Poland 21-12. After this match, there was a match between USA and China and USA won the match 21-17.
I don't know if there was such a branch in the previous Olympic Games, but I liked it very much.
My favorite in this branch is Serbia.

They have made significant changes in their approach towards the match, they must have indeed learned form their loss to Egypt, but that said Japan also hit the woodwork a couple of times and had some decent chances of the their own, they just could find the back of the next.

The blunders that Spain made when playing against Egypt really taught them a lesson. Whoever the opponent is, they still can't be careless because it could be the beginning of a nightmare. Spain will play Morocco in the semifinals, and it looks like it will be quite a tough match for both teams.

Quote
Egypt have also just restored parity against Paraguay, Paraguay had taken the lead mid way into the 2nd half and looked like they'll be running away with it, but not just yet says the Egyptians as this could be headed for an extra 30 minutes of play.

This really turned out to be a very rough match because both teams did not hesitate to commit fouls so that their opponents could not penetrate easily. The performance of the two teams is also not much different. It's just that when the match entered the final minutes, it was quite clear that Egypt had better stamina and motivation than Paraguay.

As for the women's boxing match, it was reported that another athlete, Busenaz Sürmeneli (the last Olympic champion), and an Algerian boxer who was in the same category, had previously been banned from the competition by the IBA, saying that it would be unfair competition and sent a letter to the Olympic Committee explaining this. Interestingly, the Olympic Committee did not see any harm in her fighting by disobeying the IBA's decision. The Italian boxer quited from the match in 46 seconds, and thus her other opponents will also withdraw from the matches, thinking about their lives. There is unfair competition in this category. I think that athletes from other countries should not compete at all. Thus, the Olympic Committee may reconsider its decision.
That's really unfair, men and women shouldn't box. How did the Olympic committee allow this to happen. While everyone is liking what's happening for their representatives getting their own gold medals, on this category, it's a shame to the organization.
huh? Imane Khelif is not a man, she was born a woman and Identified as a woman all her life, the issue was her high testosterone which is because of the medical she has. Imane Khelif also competed in the Tokyo Olympics and no one batted an eye during that time, I find it weird that a lot of people are in an uproar because a woman who naturally has high testosterone who previously competed in the Tokyo Olympics beat another woman in under 46 seconds.

This guy is dominating in swimming pool. It's already his 4th gold in Olympics. And in Individual Medley he was just 0.06 second saway from Michael Phelps world record.

He's just 22 years old and have achieved a lot till now. 4 golds in the same edition is unbelievable. He won golds in Men's 200m Breaststroke, Men's 200m Butterfly, Men's 200m Individual Medley and Men's 400m Individual Medley. BTW, some credit should be given to the Americans as well, since Léon Marchand is a resident of Arizona, and also part of the Arizona State University swim team. And he first came to limelight during the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships.

We knowwho will fight for gold in tennis - it's Calros Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic who both won theirsemifinals without much trouble. It will be played on Sunday, while on Saturday Dona Vekic and
Qinwen Zheng will fight in wommen competition.
In football we know all semifinalists - it's Morocco - Spain and France - Egypt. Morocco and Spain had easy game, while Egypt reached semifinal only after semifinals.
Athletics competiotions started, today there was mainly qualification rounds and just one final - 10 000m where Joshua Cheptegei took gold.

Leon Marchand has established himself as a legend in the Olympics by winning 2 back to back golds in a matter of hours which even someone like Phelps never achieved and that speaks volumes.

This dude doesn't look like he is in the mood to stop anytime soon and I guess he will win some more medals before this Olympics edition concludes.
