And next is about the boxing in the women's division that have got an issue.

Boxer previously barred from women’s events wins fight after opponent quits in 46 seconds

It's really disgusting that he's allowed to fight in this year, previous Olympic he was not allowed since he failed the testosterone test. Too bad for Angela Carini, she start her debut since 2013, fighting for 108 times and she said she never got punched so bad like this one. If in the next year they still allow male to fight with female, it's better for them to mix male and female in every sports. So, women will get used to train with men and know how hard it's, at least they will know if they able to fight with men or not.

Even Imane Khelif win the match, but Angela Carini win in people's heart.
it's possible that Imane Khelif is just a man but identifies as a female! Don't even know if that makes any sense but yeah, that's the only reasonable thing I'm able to think of that should have warranted such carelessness from the Olympics committee in allowing a man to get on the ring with a woman. It's good she called it a quite earlier enough so she doesn't get to ruin her carrier trying to fight in a match that ended before it even started. I guess it's possible that  the committee have hard thier share of the experience of the advocacy for gender equality stuff and allowed it get to them and wanted to show the difference via this kind of compromise. Same thing that happened Ina boxing game where two professional female boxers were fixed up against a regular dude from the audience whose weight is heavier than the two female boxers put together. Dude frustrated and kicked the girls poor asses as though they are not professional boxers and they couldn't stand a single Chance. At least for those kind of setting, it's understandable that the dude isn't a professional fighter and because it's two against one, it's easier to assume that it's somehow a fair fight but in this setting, the ok Olympics committee totally missed it.

Every Olympic competition has its controversies and this current one is no exception. The whole boxing controversy could have been completely avoided, but the brain-dead IOC turds thought it would actually be fine to allow a man to compete in a women's competition.

The whole drag parade was also unnecessary and downright weird, but the French dumdums thought insulting Christians around the world would be fine. Macron is probably blowing up.

Congratulations...
Saw this trending on social media and the second I saw this , I knew something was off not until I saw other participants in this spot, otherwise lad made things look easy!

Btw, definitely his name will be remembered for a long time and probably his set a new talking point for the spot in terms of safety and all... which I expect  to see rules changed after this because  this is a family show, and secondly the sports man's safety comes first.

I don't think Paris is giving me any luck  Tongue
I've lost almost every bet so far

I'm not going to bet on Brazil's women's soccer anymore, I believed Brazil could win in women's soccer against Spain, they lost, but still managed to qualify for the quarterfinals
I think this is Brazil's worst team in recent times and I don't think they'll be able to beat France at home
Maybe my bet will have to be against Brazil hehehe
Sport can be funny sometimes, remember when Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia in the world cup and went on to win the competition... sometimes it's such games that give a wake up call to give their best and maybe win it all...so don't write off Brazil that easily... perphaps stay away from them Tongue

The boxer in the photo is Algerian Imane Khelif and she competes in the women's category.
The Italian boxer threw in the towel yesterday after lasting 46 seconds.
Do you think this person is a woman?
They compete in the same weight class with Busenaz Sürmeneli. If they both make it to the semi-finals, they will face each other.
The Olympic committee should have done the necessary tests starting from the first match and put this person in the ring. Neither his appearance nor the punches he throws when fighting resemble women.
This situation may also cast a shadow on the Olympics.

Male vs female in boxing? It's not going to be fair, like in this case so yeah, she should not be hit by a male simple as that. And then the damage Imane did to her, broken nose perhaps?

So it's hard to fathom while the committee let Imane fight if they were not allowing him in the previous Olympics. Of course there is this equality and what rights this personality has right now, but it's not really fair to see a male with that much testosterone in his simple. Not sure who will be the next opponent, but for sure the same damage can be inflicted to her and it's doesn't sounds fair.

He's a badass and he's now viral on the internet. From pages that I have been following and articles that are covering the Olympics, he's what I am seeing all about. I won't be surprised if this sergeant will get a lot of offers to be part of some badass movies out there like part of James Bond or those movies where Vin Diesel is part of. He seems to be fitting those tough men whether a villain or a friend of the protagonist.

He became famous on a global scale. He has a great charisma. Also, fighting for a gold medal and acting so cool requires great composure. Yusuf Dikeç would have been talked about more if he had won the gold medal, but it was amazing that he fought like this even in the silver medal.

As for the women's boxing match, it was reported that another athlete, Busenaz Sürmeneli (the last Olympic champion), and an Algerian boxer who was in the same category, had previously been banned from the competition by the IBA, saying that it would be unfair competition and sent a letter to the Olympic Committee explaining this. Interestingly, the Olympic Committee did not see any harm in her fighting by disobeying the IBA's decision. The Italian boxer quited from the match in 46 seconds, and thus her other opponents will also withdraw from the matches, thinking about their lives. There is unfair competition in this category. I think that athletes from other countries should not compete at all. Thus, the Olympic Committee may reconsider its decision.

^^ So another controversial to this France Olympics, so he or she was barred before in a women's boxing competition and then suddenly he or she goes to fight in this Olympics and won in less than a round as he or she broke the opponents nose, and perhaps Imane Khelif really hits so hard like a man?

How about Katie Ledecky in swimming winning his 8 Olympic gold medals with a new Olympic record by at least 10 seconds ahead?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVl7ru-IlFE

And she is now the most decorated US swimmer. With this win and others like Simone Biles, the USA is now back on top of the medal standings.

We saw farewell of anothertennis legend. Andy Murray lost match in doubles and it means that his career is over. End of era...
https://twitter.com/eurosport/status/1819097022512689424
We know another semifinalist in women tennis, Dona Vekic in just a bit more than hour beat Schmiedlova, delivering bagel in 2nd set by winning it 2:0
Simone Biles is phenomenal, she becomes first women in history to perform the Yurchenko double pike vault and won gold easily:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_I71v3laAE

United States have won half of their six gold medals in swimming.
They won gold medals in men's 4×100m freestyle relay, women's 100m butterfly and women's 1500m freestyle.
Wouldn't say that USA being not first is something strange. Athletics begins next week, this is where they take most gold medals, China there don't stand a chance there. In first week there wasn't that many events were USA is dominant, mainly swimming, Simone Billes in gymnastics.

Basketball.  Not that there was medals yet but the women haven't lost a game since the 1990s.  And while on the men's side most countries have caught up the US is still dominant.  They might not win gold because any game it can go sideways but so far they have been dominant.  Katie ledecky in that 1500 was crazy too.  She was swimming one way and the rest of the field was swimming the other way.  Camera man had to pan out to get the swimmers in the same shot.

There are so many memes of Yusuf Dikeç flooding the internet. He’s gone viral because I have been seeing posts about him on my Instagram all day. One comment I read was particularly funny because it said Yusuf Dikeç deliberately took second place so people won’t suspect him of being a hitman lol. It’s almost as if we had a live John Wick at the Olympics. Yusuf Dikeç has stolen the spotlight and I think this is also good for the Paris Summer Olympics because there have been so much controversy surrounding the competition. It’s nice that we can talk about something else that’s fun and not offensive to anyone.

BTW hands in the pockets is super cool.

I’ve seen loads of memes about him already, he’s more famous than the guys who won gold in that category Cheesy

For me too, seeing United States of America not in the top 3 is a big surprise but again this is very early in the Olympics. The results will change considerable once we reach near the end of the Olympics. If USA did not top the table, they will surely be at number 2 spot.
By the way, are you betting on who will win most medals in this olympics?
It will be interesting to know what odds bookmakers give for China and United states.
To be honest, I was also surprised to learn that United States of America wasn't in the top 3 initially however, I knew they were going to climb to the top three before tomorrow. Currently USA is 2nd in the Olympics medal table with 9 gold medals which is two behind China's 11 gold medals. Finishing at the top of the medal table is a normal feat for the USA and I have no doubt that they will finish this year's edition of the Olympics games at the top.

It is also worth noting that he is 51 years old. As for special equipment, it may not sound very serious, like anti-glare glasses and headphones (and a device to block the view of the second eye), but from the outside it looks extremely unnatural. For me, it would be logical if there were two separate categories - shooting with special technical means and without.

I've been seeing/reading a lot about this guy of late.  I love seeing how he's just a "natural" shooter and didn't /doesn't require all that fancy stuff that other shooters use.  Now to be fair he did take home silver, not gold, so you have to wonder if any of that special eye-wear would make enough of a difference for him that would have placed him in gold.  I honestly have no idea, just something I was kind of wondering to myself.

Welcome to Olympic 2024 my great great grandfather had a tea cup from the '90s olympics and it looks awesome. But to be honest I just rarely know about current olympic there is a news that opening ceremony is not good enough or have some conspiracy theory behind it.

But I wish good luck to all people, especially my country Indonesia I just hope they bring more gold medals this time in badminton and martial art
Indonesia still not gets any medal from the current Olympics but they had gold medal tradition from Badminton because almost every events they can able to gets gold medal from this sport and currently still group phase which for Men’s Singles Indonesia has Anthony Ginting and Jonatan Christie but their performance were dissapointing because few hours ago they had just lost from their opponents and this makes them were eleminate early and failed to advances to round of 16 because only gets 1 win from 2 games

For Women’s Singles Gregoria Tunjung has successfully to advances to the round of 16 after on the second game she can able to overcomes Czech Republic athlete Tereza Svabikova with 2 set in a row and this result makes her finish as the champion of group G and Gregoria opponent for round of 16 is Kim Ga-eun and i am confident Gregoria will be able to win this match because previously Gregoria has good results while met Kim Ga-eun because from 8 meeting total Gregoria always be win
To be honest, this year Olympics in Paris didn't really impress me, especially the opening ceremony which looked very standard compared to previous Olympics, Previously I had hoped that paris would give a lot of impression at this year Olympics but in fact there weren't many surprises happening, currently it looks like Indonesia We haven't been able to do much at the Olympics, so far we haven't even won a single medal in various sporting events, badminton and weightlifting haven't given us medals at the moment although previously we always used badminton and weightlifting as a mainstay to win gold or silver medals, but for now, I think many countries are also starting to develop rapidly in the sport of badminton, making it difficult for Indonesia to win medals,  so far Indonesia only has two representatives left in badminton Gregoria Mariska Tunjung (women singles) in the round of 16, and also Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto (men doubles) in the quarterfinals.
I personally hope that at least the men's doubles will bring home 1 medal even though it's a little difficult if you look at the opponents they faced in the quarterfinals.
Opening ceremony look controversial for some people especially for the athlete from South Korean because the announcer mispronounces country name which at that time they called Democratic People's Republic of Korea or North Korea which this is wrong but recently the committee have apologized for this mistakes

But about Badminton most likely Indonesia will not gets gold medal from this sport because recently men doubles from Indonesia Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto has been eliminate by China couple Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang and during the match Indonesian couple is really hard struggling to in form they even playing under pressure and lost 2 set

Indonesia actually has 1 more representative for Badminton because today women singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung has successfully to eliminate Kim Ga-eun and advances to the quarterfinal and Gregoria will fight against Ratchanok Intanon on that stage but this is hard match for Gregoria considering she always be lost from Ratchanok Intanon in the last 7 meeting and if Gregoria lost from this match then Indonesia certainly will not gets the medal from Badminton

There’s an ongoing issue with the Paris Olympics involving a biological male (transgender athlete) competing in women’s boxing. Why did the Olympic Committee allow this? I think this is totally unfair for real female athletes. I think it’s time to create an Olympics for transgender athletes.

And split that into two categories, female>male and male>female.
It's fairly obvious that if there is nobody complaining about females competing in male sports and only the other way around it's a genetic thing leading to an advantage.

The truth is that the reason there isn’t a transgender category is because nobody wants to actually watch mentally ill people compete against each other. I think political correctness has gone way too far. Watching a man beat a woman in the ring and be rewarded for it is disgusting to me. Everyone needs to stand up against this bullshit.

Carlos freaking Alcaraz! Wow! He defeated Tommy Paul in straight sets in the quarter-final to enter the semi-final and is poised to win a medal for sure. Credit should be given to Tommy though for fighting hard in the 2nd set.

Am really excited to witness an Alcaraz-Djokovic faceoff most probably soon. Hyped!

The US has very few favorites in the games that award medals earlier, in the last 3 days in ht previous games China got 4 medals while the US got 10, for the first two it was a 6:3 China advantage.

The match between Angela Carini from Italy and Imane Khelif from Algeria in the women's welterweight Round of 16 at Paris 2024 Olympics lasted only 46 seconds on Thursday, August 1. This was after Carini abandoned the fight against the "biological male" Khelif. After being hit by powerful punches and having her headgear removed, Carini consulted with her corner and decided to forfeit the fight. She mentioned feeling intense pain in her nose. https://facebook.com/share/p/9wvVWd9TiLoFUCsC/?mibextid=oFDknk
