Just looking at the match up's and yes there are a lot of close odds, there is an
option there to bet on Sinner against Delbonis, there is a better odds difference
with Sinner the obvious favourite.

I'm not sure I'm going to bet on the games today, Sinner's performance is unknown
after his early departure from Toronto for example.

Well played by Medvedev to win that final against Opelka on his favourite hardcourt surface
which brings him to Cincinatti.
He said last night in an interview after the match that he will play the tournament and see
how his body is and asses it for The U.S open.

He is definitely the #1 threat to Djokovic's calendar slam and of course Medvedev has
his own goals to become #1

On the ladies side, what a won by Giorgi to beat Pliskova in two sets. She played agressively
and fearlessly pulling off some super shots.

Yes, it seems that Medvedev is on the roll and is about to hit his prime years now. So he is one of the threat to Djokovic in the U.S. open.

Surprise outcome though in the womens side, Pliskova is the favorite to win the finals by as you have said, Giorgi has nothing to lose, no pressure whatsoever so she played very aggressively and win the title in the ladies side.

I'm just looking at the Cincinnati open match and there are a lot, but some tricky games as well.

Medvedev tearing the ATP Masters 1000, his 4th this year against big serving Opelka.

He has a lot of experience against big servers, in the semis he beat John Isner but staying near the baseline to at least have a good angle for a return.

Now it's the Cincinnati Open, Basilashvili vs Fognini, this is the first time that they will meet so obviously, no h2h to look at. But I put my money on Basilashvili ML boosted @1.79. It was around 1.8x when I'm planning to bet, but the odds suddenly change and goes down to 1.74, so I just hurry up and slide my bet. Lots of matches but this is one of those early match that I can still watch on my timezone.

For the ATP Toronto final Medvedev vs Opelka over 23 it seems safe enough to get a win
well that didn't happen, Medvedev didn't face a lot of trouble beating Opelka even though he has a big serve, 2-0 for Medvedev  with 6-4 in the first and 6-3 in the 2nd set, with a total of 19 games, i was expecting at least a tiebreak, it seems like Medvedev is starting to get closer to Djokovic to take over the number one spot.

Same here, was expecting to at least the game will be a three setter as I have said previously, with a good tie break to make the game very good to watch for us tennis fans.

But Medvedev was too much for Opelka and Medvedev has a perfect game play for his big serves. So it was under, which makes me lost too in this match.

With the recent showing of Medvedev, for sure he will be one of the favourites going into the US Open.

Bad news for tennis fans:
''Fans will not be allowed to attend the US Open qualifying rounds to "ensure the health and safety of all".
The main tournament will have capacity crowds when it starts on 30 August.''

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/58197770

I hope that the current decisions will not change after all and that fans in limited numbers will still be able to participate in the main tournament of the US Open.

It's a tough decision but it's for the safety of all players, officials and spectators, hope can be change when the main event start. When I read the news, it's seems only for the qualifying because the there will be a lot of players and also their team's.

Are we slowly watching the definitive departure of the ''big three''?
It looks like less than five years from now we won't see the big 3, first Federer, Nadal and lastly Djokovic.
For Federer it looks like he is waiting for a beautiful moment to announce his retirement maybe when he can lift the trophy it's his moment

That's very sad to hear. Health is still in full swing. We might have already seen it coming, if you look at the Olympic Games, where large parts of it were also not attended by an audience. And we're also talking about New York, a metropolis. That will undoubtedly have played a major role in this decision.

We wish that it will be Tsitsipas vs Medvedev in the finals in Toronto, that will be a interesting match.
I hope so and don't mean to demean their opponents but it looks like it would be an ideal final.
For all semis match, I guess it will be going for 3 sets, no one will advance to final with easy.
Ranking update, Tsitsipas overtook Nadal and now he is in 3rd position. Source

Nah, it's not happening, Tsitsipas lost a tough 3 setter against Opelka. He had a chance to close it out in the second set, but he made crucial errors in the tie break. And then lost a serve in the 3rd, score 6-4.

So it will be Opelka vs Medvedev in the finals. Medvedev slight favorite in the ML. Over 22.5 might be a good bet 1.74. The finals is possible for a three setter.

Yeah, too bad that the dream match will not happen.

As for the finals, my money will be on Medvedev, yes this could be over with 3 sets to settle the score. I know that Medvedev can handle the power of Opelka and could win on a first serve returns. But again, this is the finals so it won't be that easy as compare to his last match against Isner. And it could be Opelka is tired because of a hard fought 3 sets wins against Tsitsipas.

Thats another bet lost on Tsitsipas for me. From the commentry after the match
it seems he couldnt deal with the powerful serve from Opelka. His positioning on
the Opelka was too close to the baseline and his one handed backhand didnt
serve him well.

On the other hand Medvedev dealt with Isners game handily enough.

I'm going with Medvedev for the final today.

Stefanos Tsitsipas' great form wasn't enough in the semifinals of the Toronto Masters 1000. The Greek was beaten by Reilly Opelka with a score of 6-7 (2/7) 7-6 (7/4) 6-4, with the American flying to the final. The 23-year-old Hellenic paid dearly for the only break of the match, suffered in the 7th game of the third set. The 2,11m giant didn't let the first loss get him down, going on his way in a match practically played all on his own ground, between missiles on serve and a few quick exchanges. And in the end he managed to crumble Tsitsipas' certainties to conquer the first final in a tournament of this level. Well done!

Big tennis stars like Federer, Nadal and Djokovic won't be able to play at the top level for much longer and it would be really a shame to miss one of our last chances to directly enjoy their tennis magic.
For me, the key question remains whether Djokovic was able to recover from the shock of the Olympics and in what condition he will come to this GS?
If he is ready, Djokovic will be the first favorite, but Thiem, Zverev and Medvedev will also have good chances.

Yes it wont be easy but in my opinion thats the logical thing i do not see how opelka will get past tsitsipas i think from what ive seen so far that stefanos is really focused and in good shape the surprise might be from isner side he cameback recently and he is strong on hard courts.

^^ Lol, I'm still if I'm not mistaken break even in betting in this tournament, but it's all good.

Great escape by Medvedev but it was not that easy, I also lost on the Bautista-Agut vs Opelka. I have Bautista-Agut on the handicapped by Opelka was in the zone in the second set tie-break.

So it's now Tsitsipas vs Opelka and then Medvedev vs Isner.

We wish that it will be Tsitsipas vs Medvedev in the finals in Toronto, that will be a interesting match.

Well Medvedev survived again bearly. Hurkacz o most won the match but wasnt lucky at all in the tie breaks. Also i think Opelka might surprise in this match or at least win 1 set if he serves like he can. But a banger of final would be Medvedev vs Tsitsipas, would be fun to watch

Well Djokovic dosent eat meat at all. He is a vegeterian as far as i know. He has special diets and special food just meant for him. Thats why he is still currently on the top level. He also o most never gets injured. Last big injury was his elbow a couple of years ago,but after that nothing serious

His special diets and food will probably help in keeping fit but everybody can get injured. Look at Federer, right now he is seriously injured and we can only hope that he can comeback to the highest levels, but before that he was also not injured a lot without special diet.

^^ Lol, I'm still if I'm not mistaken break even in betting in this tournament, but it's all good.

That would be the most logic final. If that would be the case, I would place a bet on over 2.5 sets.

Tsitsipas vs Khachanov - under 22.5 @1.81
Rublev vs Isner = under 23.5 @1.86

Have a different choice than you do for these two match
Karen Khachanov - Stefanos Tsitsipas over 9.5 in first set, I think this match will be very tight, hopefully the first set will last until the tie break or at least 6-4
Rublev vs Isner over 23.5 their last meeting was in three sets so this time probably same.

You two is 1-1 on your predictions, so I guess it all break even in your bet.

Tsitsipas just blasted Khachanov in two sets, I think he really get his form back, after a intense in his last match against Humbert. Now Stepanos will have to face Casper Ruud next, a good match to wait and bet.

Rublev vs Isner is a two setter with Isner getting the better of Rublev in this match, 5-7 6-7 very tight and close game.

@Kemarit this is the old Tsitsipas we all know, he always had it in him but for unknown reasons he’s unable to deliver at times. However after the form he showed in this match, I feel he’s a no 1 contender to win this tournament, hence what do you’ll think about his chances of winning the tournament?.

Yes, I think Tsitsipas chance of winning the Toronto Open is very high.

He just go and beat another good player in Casper Ruud, 6-1, 6-4. I have winning with a handicap so another good day for me. In the second set, he trailed early 3-2 and then hold serve and then put a clinic.

Opelka stunned Bautista-Agut, now Medvedev is trying to survived against Hurkacz in the 3rd set.

I havent been paying much attention to the Tennis in the last 2 days, so pi$$ed with my
losses during the week but I have recovered my Satoshi's and back in business now!

Great semi final match up's Tsitsipas v Opelka, didnt think Opelka would make it this far
but the Tsitsipas hurdle will be too high for him I think.

Medvedev v Isner, Isner going well, will Medvedev be able to cope?

Tsitsipas v Medvedev would be a cracker of a final though so thats who im putting my
Satoshi's on today.

The Isner vs Monfils match is on the first set. Glad that I can able to watch them my timezone.

But it's really hard to see which one is going to win this game. Both are still holding serve for now, 3-2, Monfils serving.

But if I'm going to bet on this match, I will have Isner by 2.5 and come probably close out the game in a two setter.
