I passed on all the early games, I focused on pissing away my money towards the EPL clusterfuck matches.

So, in an effort to keep my losing streak snowballing away my meager seasonal gains, I came up with this roll of the dice:

ETA: At half-time  Saints: 0, Eagles: 17  Shocked

I missed the first half of game as I took a nap and forgot to wake up in time to place my bets, but I wish I had for this Bears game.  As much as the Bears suck, I knew with the Texans being down both Will Fuller and Brandon Cooks that they would struggle.  Now I definitely didn't think it would be this bad however.

The only second half game I'm really feeling right now is the Steelers over Buffalo at +2.  Thoughts on this game?

Steering clear of this game.  Kc and the giants under is on track but somehow the giants will screw the under 😆.   If I had to take anyone I'd probably take the bills in that game.  Steelers have looked shaky and their run game sucks.  Good thing I have Connor in ff 😒

I came up with a stupid 3-team parlay, Bucs ml + Packers ml + Titans ml for just over 2x total odds.
Not feeling great about it, Bucs have a poor home record of 3-3 and are coming off two straight losses, Packers can always fuck things up when you least expect.
I have a very similar parlay with the Bucs, Titans and Chiefs then planning to take Jets spread for the next set of games now that the spread is moving in Seahawks favor from 13.5 to 16.5.

I'm tempted to add the Cardinals but i'm having some second thoughts so I skipped it.  Cheesy

I'm more excited about the late matchup between Bills and Steelers, i think it's going to be a great game, perhaps low scoring, Bills can clinch a playoffs berth if they win and Dolphins lose, Steelers will be second in AFC (just one game ahead of BUF) if they lose and Chiefs win, kinda rooting for that to happen.

Tennessee @ -7

It looks the obvious pick, but I am not that confident. Jaguars have 2 divisional matchups left (today and week 17 @Colts) and they can win one more game without losing their #2 pick. They are not in tanking mode like the Jets, but aren't too unhappy when losing imo. I watched them at Vikings last week and they are better than their record suggests; Glennon is doing a good job. Jags will play this one super motivated I think and apart from the blowout against the Steelers, they kept their last games close, losing only by 2/4/2/3 against ok-ish opposition with Texans/Packers/Browns/Vikings. Now looking at the H2H, which is always a bit meh tbf, the Titans would have beaten this HC only once the last 9 years when playing @Jacksonville, even losing 6 times SU. Earlier this season it ended 33-30 at TEN.

I am not saying this is a bad pick, because in the end I don't know as well nor do the teams Grin Just some general remarks, good luck Smiley

Will not have any pre-match bets today as it seems Roll Eyes I like the Giants ML, the over in Raiders game and Bills ML, but will look for better odds/lines inplay.

As for the Chiefs game, I think Miami could even win this, but only if they win the TO battle and their defense/ST helping with scoring a TD. Or two.

Have I mentioned how much I hate Cam?

He has single handedly made me hate football this year.

Hehehehe who will not be the Patriot's quarterback on 2021?

Immediately I like the following for Sunday, but I'm gonna think a bit deeper about it before placing a bet.

Cleveland +2.5
Washington +3
Miami +7
Tennessee -7

Is the defense of the Dolphins good enough to cover the spread? I have not yet checked the list of injuries for the Chiefs, however, I am very surprised on why this is only -7 for them. Should it not be more than -13.5?

13.5 is definately too high.  I was expecting at least 7.5 or 8.  The dolphins are pretty good and their defense is legit.  Have probably one of the best corners to cover hill.  I'm just banking on Tua making a rookie mistake somewhere in the game enough for kc to win decently

I narrowed my list of 4 games down to one game that looks a lot better than the rest, and that is:

Tennessee @ -7

I put in a decent size bet for my standards on this one. Besides the fact that the Titans are 58% more likely to cover the spread than the Jags, this is a must-win game for Tennessee whereas Jags are out completely. They already got their one win so they're not winless for the season, now they're done.

Titans will be ramping it up just a bit to secure the V. Let's hope its by more than 7 points. I don't like Tannehill generally speaking but when you look at what's on the other side of the equation, he's perfect for the situation.

Yeah I like kc -7 all day on this one. I will take KC anyday versus a team throwing out a rookie qb.  1 or 2 mistakes is all it takes before this is a blowout.  Also like the cowboys game under.  One of these teams is definately going to throw out a stinker just don't know which one.  Those are my 2 games I like this week.  I like Seattle too.  Think they get laser focused and smoke the jets after taking one on the chin from the giants.  Can see that game being 37-13 or something stupid like that.

Kc -7
Cowboys/bengles under 43
Seattle -13

Those are my 3 this week

I've never been a fan of Cam Newton either, but I must admit I've been rooting for him lately.  Maybe it's because he's in a uniform I've become accustomed to rooting for, or because he's actually showing some humility on Belichick's team.

Friggin ostrich... can't fly, just running around. But I almost agree with you, he made it impossible for me to hate Patriots anymore because they're so pathetic this year.

I'm tempted call ML for Cleveland on this one, quite tempted.

Washington +3
I won't touch this, too much emotional involvement.  I want the 9ers to win, but maybe I'm being a cynic for thinking Washington has a great chance...

Miami +7
Tennessee -7
Both of these are too risky for me.  KC can run up the score on anyone.  They had a tough time last week, but that was against a division rival, a team very familiar with their schemes.  And, Miami has been too unpredictable.

Tennessee has been averaging +4 per game, and while the Jaguars have been averaging -12.5 I still find this too risky for relatively low gain.

Here's my chickenshit, low-risk parley for the weekend, but I haven't submitted the bet yet.  I might add some more handicaps to boost the odds, but I'll wait until tomorrow morning's injury reports.

KC (ML) over Miami
Green Bay (ML) over Detroit
New Orleans (-6.5) over Philadelphia

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Have I mentioned how much I hate Cam?

Not enough times I can assure you that, when I found out Cam was going to be the QB for NE many of my friends were excited and I was like why are you excited? Don’t you realize how much NE is going to struggle on offence this year? And they tried to argue their position about how ‘Super Cam’ was going to bring a new offensive dimension to the team and all those arguments the media liked so much at the beginning of the season, but now with only three games remaining I only need to say two words ‘Cam sucks’ for everyone to agree with me, an argument could be made about Cam being a decent RB, but a QB? No way.

This is why I think this was a wasted opportunity, Stidham should have gotten the job, if he did a good job then he can keep it, if not then tank hard to get a QB at the next draft. When the Colts lost Manning due to injury they tanked and got Andrew Luck, and this was an even more perfect opportunity for NE, no Brady, no cap space, no preseason, a pandemic, half the defence opting-out because of covid, if there was a season for NE winning just 2 or 3 games and no one raising an eyebrow it was this one.

The only way in which I can make sense of this is if the rumours about SF wanting to get rid of Garoppolo are true and Belichick decides to bring him back since he fits the NE system better than the one in SF.

In the past I've jinxed the Rams by betting on them, but I think they're a better team now and have a lot of games where they've covered the spread, unlike the Pats. Also, Pats are all but mathematically out for playoff contention whereas the Rams need this one to keep up with the Seahawks, who will assuredly win against the Jets this week (almost assuredly). I'm taking the Rams at -5 instead of -4.5 so that was the payout will be closer to 2x... Line seems to have shifted just a tiny bit closer to -5.

Who do you guys like for today or this weekend?

I'm really digging on the chiefs -7.  Miami is good but I dont think the Miami offense can keep up with the pace at which KC scores.  I want to say the arizona/giants game under as well.  The giants defense is clicking and think this will be a lower scoring game.  So kc spread and giants game under parlay.

I'm with you on Washington, I even think they'll win straight up this Sunday since the 49ers have an abysmal 1-5 record at home.

I plan on taking the Seahawks for my next pool pick and I might add the Jets spread (if it goes +14) together with Washington. The Seahawks suck at covering spreads I still can't forget that backdoor cover from the Eagles.   Lips sealed

I went with Rams ml + Woods 45+ receiving yards + Rams O1.5 TDs for just 2x total odds, but maybe i should have just taken the spread like you, and not overcomplicate this.

Hope 45 yards for Woods won't be a problem, i last watched Rams vs. Bucs and he was pretty unstoppable in that game, last three he averages over 10 targets and 80+ yards, so 45 looks about right.

Goff, please don't be off today, i need this.  Grin

Browns... sadly the odds aren't as good as they were earlier in the season or even last week so maybe not worth it.
