Xapo, Inc  = a Delaware, US company who is operating financial services.

Xapo, Inc is NOT registered as money transmitter in Delaware nor in any other stare, so it is operating illegally.

For reference, Coinbase is operating in Delaware, USA as well but this is their license  :  https://www.coinbase.com/static/licenses/delaware.pdf

I don't understand why the people are discussing the service of an illegal firm. Smiley

Have you try to submit a ticket to their support team? You'll have a better chance of getting helped that way than if you just say it here

The real number would be what's the rate Xapo uses to convert BTC to USD...fees by themselves are not that intimidating but if they exchange your BTC to USD with a $380 value then we are in trouble hehe.

That transaction rate was 1BTC=370.80 EUR (about 414USD), pretty fair.
Check bit-x too and see if they have better fees/rates

That's actually quite good indeed, I will order one as soon as I'm able to and try it, seeing the first year is free then it's not really that expensive.

Really? that is amazing news, I'll order a debit card soon and try it. I don't understand why people insist on selling Bitcoins for Paypal elsewhere if this is a viable and secure option...

There are a lot of reasons why some people buy using LB and others prefere debit cards. Do your own math about fees tho and beware of that: if you send money tru paypal to a family or friend using your xapo debit card as funding backup, you will have to pay xapo fee+paypal fee.
Just do your own considerations pondering all sides: trustwhorty, security, fees etc etc  Wink

Alright, yes of course but selling Bitcoins in LB for Paypal you don't only have the scam risk but also the fees are very high (specially for verified/trusted traders). As you had experience with this, suppose I have 1 BTC in my debit card and one to fund Paypal, at the current price how much ends up in my Paypal wallet?

Well, this is a transaction i did last night 11.34pm UTC: i sent 140USD marked as family/friend. Paypal balance was zero so totally funded with debit card. I got 5.73 USD fee on xapo and 5.76 USD fee on paypal.

Well yes now I see that's a pretty hefty sum but compared to selling those 140 USD in BTC at LB for paypal and then send it I guess it would be much more due to rates and fees that still apply...

Not sure if this was asked before but I wanted to confirm if it's possible to fund Paypal with Xapo debit card. If this is possible then I will definitely get one since that will be a great way to avoid Paypal scammers even if there are fees involved.
maybe this can help you : http://support.xapo.com/can-i-link-the-xapo-debit-card-with-my-paypal-account

Thanks but it's not clear to me. I want to fund my Paypal, not buy Bitcoins with it. So if I link the debit card on Paypal, I can add funds (fiat) to my account. I guess it's possible since you can get cash in an ATM with Xapo debit card but for this it's still confusing in my opinion, can anyone confirm this?

Yes it is possible: i linked my xapo debit card to my paypal and i use it as my main funding backup. Smooth enough.

How do I switch to Authy for my 2FA? I am having problems getting the SMS verification codes.
I don't see anyway inside the xapo app

To enable Google Authenticator or Authy, download and open the application on your device, and tap the "+" to add a new second factor code generator. Click "Enable Google Authenticator" from your security settings, and a QR code that can be scanned by the Google Authenticator or Authy app will generate. Go down the page until you see the option to "require second-factor for login". There will be a box next to this option. Click the box and then click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

I already tried that but I have only my mobile number under the Second Factor Authentication under the security settings and no "+" or anyway to change it.
Same thing if I log in via a browser and nothing added automatically in Authy

i dont really know why, but after i contacted the support, they help me immediately
the changing only took 2~4 hours because i dont know they send the message so fast

just sharing my experience.
In my country if you lost your number phone , you can ask new number phone same with your lost.
so if your number phone 12345678 you can ask your number phone 12345678, you can contact your provider.
and this is another method if your phone number can't be recovery
i tried to contact the service provider, but they can't replace it and i must use the xapo service

it's pretty bad, but to resolve the problem just go into : http://support.xapo.com/contact-us/

Yes, the most unfortunate thing about using Xapo as your wallet is their poor help desk (as stated over and over on this thread). I think the best way you can do is both sending an email to their support team and write a post here. Some lucky users got help and their problem resolved.
