Manchester City got their first trophy this season, maybe they still have a chance to be the favorites team again in next season, if there are no changes in their squad. But I think they can certainly reach the top 8 or even semi-finals, but also to win again I think it's too early because there are many big clubs who have pocketed tickets for next season. We can't underestimate them either especially Inter, although they unlucky this season but they can reach to the finals, it's a sign of how strong they are this season and maybe next season they can showing more optimal.

Real Madrid must have found out how bad they were against Manchester City. They will really need to make a big improvement for next season. They need to stay strong in offense and defense both. Manchester City just tore their defense apart in the second leg. Now Benzema has left the team people are wondering who will be filling his space in the team.

Real Madrid should make their investment in the right way to become much more competitive in the Champions League again. They can actually make some adjustments in the defense line as well. Because I found the defenders quite desperate against Manchester City attackers.

Real Madrid was outplayed and paid for their lack of pressure on the Manchester City team. The only way to deal with City is to constantly attack and be defensively alert at all times. Madrid needs to bring in more players to replace some players, especially in the attack and defense. Benzema needs a worthy replacement so as do some aging players. Most teams have started preparing for next season, so Madrid should take advantage of the transfer market now if they want to get the best players.

We can't say much at this point but I'm pretty sure that City won't win it again. They need 1 bad game in knockout stage and they will be out. Going 2years without bad game it's really hard and City does not have legacy of Real M to do that.

It's too early to start predicting next season's winner but I also agree that City will not win it next season except the team is rejigged. Their performance in the finals proved that they need to do more if they want to retain the cup. There are so many teams in Europe that would have won the finals if they had the opportunities that Inter Milan had. I am sure that Napoli's Victor Osimhen and his teammates will not waste the chances that Martinez and Lukaku lost.

I also think it's a bit too early to start talking about it, also because the transfer market has to take place and some nations could place additional teams on the list.
For sure the winner take always the spot for the next year... let's see how it proceed but anyway it's always "a long battle" up to the finale...

I'm not sure about that. Manchester City is a team with an amazing squad. Moreover, they have a technical genius who makes great contributions to this team. Under the technical leadership of Pep Guardiola, Manchester City can already be seen as one of the favorite teams for the cup for next year.

Obviously don't know what to say at right now, but we can follow the progress as this season is only coming in a few months. Currently, all the teams seem to be trying to build up their team's strength by bringing in several new players and selling some of the old ones.

Manchester City is my favorite next season for the Champions League, if OP makes the pool then I will choose Manchester City again.

we can start the speculations and what will be our favorite teams for next season
When it's about speculation I think for the next UEFA Champions league the most promising team will be Real Madrid. They are already focusing on some good signing in the next transfer market. They are choosing some great players for their number 9. They are focusing on Harry Cane, If they complete the deal that will be most highlighted and effective transfer. Also there will be some more effective transfers and that will make Real Madrid a Promising team for the next season.

Nowadays, I believe that football has become a little more unpredictable than it used to be. I would say that it is at least more unpredictable than it was in the past. I have always considered Real Madrid to be one of the best teams in the Champions League. Manchester City is also showing good form. Due to the fact that Manchester City is the current defending Champions League title holder right now, it is safe to say that they are the best team.

Honestly, I don't think that PSG is even close to their level, as far as I'm concerned. And if we talk about Barcelona I have to say that the Barcelona we have right now is not on track to win the Champions League.
barcelona was eliminated from the UCL and UEL last season, it shows that their performance is not stable for international events

even though it already has a good squad, barcelona is still unable to keep up with the performance of man city, madrid and bayern in the champions league for now, at the next UCL event i'm not sure barcelona will have big changes, it seems that xavi hasn't been able to afford that

I agree that Barcelona performance has been very poor when it comes to European competition, but xavi would be having another to strengthen his club after seeing where all the faults is actually coming from so now should be best time to build that Barcelona squad once more but I doubt that Barcelona could ever reach up to their standard of old because at that time they were in possession of the world most creative players and I think a team of such standard would be the man city of today and it wouldn't be any surprise to me if they could actually secure the champions League again.

I join my voice with those saying it's too early to also say that it's rather too early to start discussing about the eufa champions league for the 2023/2024 season, there are no information of any kind about the game formation available yet, and neither is there any Information on when exactly the tournament will begin, so what exactly are we to be discussing about?

In the end, peeps are still going to continue discussing the happenings In the just concluded season, rather than topics relating to the coming season..

I do agree that it's too early to discuss it, but not like we are going to see any different teams fighting for it neither. I still say the same four big names and sometimes they will be a bit worse and sometimes they can be better but it will always be like this to me; City and Madrid as the best teams, even when Madrid lost Benzema, I still keep them at the top because this is their cup, they love to win it.

After those two, we have PSG and Bayern, one is the greatest team at Bundesliga and the other at ligue 1, so it's not going to be easy to beat City and Madrid, but it's possible. After these four there are like a dozen teams that can be good, but I seriously expect these four to fight for it, and I can say this without even seeing a single transfer, it's like that every year anyway.

In order to be able to have a quality and reasoned discussion about the favorites in the next season of the Champions League, they should first see how all the clubs will look in the new season and with which players they will play.
Until then, we can only discuss in general, but actually every season the favorites are always the same, right? We always talk about more or less the same clubs, Manchester City, Real, Barcelona, PSG and Bayern, and this season we will probably be able to add Arsenal, Napoli and Inter to the list.
The first league of champions is always the most difficult to win and that's why it will be much easier for Manchester City players now and they will play with much less pressure and that's why I consider them the main favorites for the new title.

we can start the speculations and what will be our favorite teams for next season
obviously Guardiola's team played impressively, barring twists and turns, they remain one of the favorites alongside Real Madrid of course

What do you think about it?
Guardiola's side remain the favourites to win it again. Real Madrid is still very consistent, but I do not think we should underate Manchester United too. In just this their first season with a new coach, they were able to win one competition and came second in another. Manchester United will get players were they need to and next season with this their present coach, they can win the champions league and even the premier league. They are not new to winning the competition as a club, so they are also one of the competitions title contenders next season.

Is it not too early to be discussing about 2023/2024 UEFA Champions League? We are heading to pre-season which should be what we supposed to be discussing about for now. I mean pre-matches and transfers.

  • UEFA Champions League is the first cup of Europe. After Europa League and Conferences League.
Why include Europa League and Europa conference League together? Conference League was founded in just 2 years ago in 2021.
