With Carlo Ancelotti as their coach Madrid usually gets better when they add new players to team. Right now they are getting used to new players and dealing with some of their best players being injured. But these problems will not be big deal once they make it to next round.

The previous season was like that, but today they were quite difficult. They have played 6 matches and the result is that they are at number 20. They still have 2 matches left. It seems that Real Madrid must enter the Play-Off phase to qualify for the next phase. There are still chances but they are worse than the previous season. If Real Madrid wants to improve the team's condition, then they must take advantage of this transfer market moment. They must start preparing players to replace players who are starting to age like Modric.
Ancelotti does have a great ability to manage the team and maximise the potential of each player, even with his experience and expertise, he can overcome the challenges and difficulties of madrid before, but in my opinion the conditions this season are very different from previous seasons, because of the busy schedule including after the change in the format of the champions league, the injured squad is also the reason for madrid slump at the moment, apart from their absence in the transfer market last summer.
Madrid position in the champions league is still unsafe now, so they need two consecutive wins in their last two matches, I hope madrid can use the January transfer window with well, because inevitably they have to immediately improve the depth of the squad if they still want to be favourites in the champions league and la liga this season.
Real Madrid will definitely qualify to the round of 16, because they are playing two weak clubs to complete their matches. If you have observed in their last two matches, you will see that they are improving in performance and it will continue like that till they pick form. I believe that Madrid difficult times are over, and this is the time for them to start kicking asses.

I'm still very much optimistic about Madrid and their chances in the Champions League,  at least they have the assurance of getting past the group stage of the champions league so that is enough to get them in the mentality to want to win the champions league title this season, so most likely they are going to find a way around it as they are very experienced when it has to do with the champions.
The mentality of everyone is quite different in this current season. The UEFA Champions League is priority for all elite teams presents. This is one of the golden opportunities for other teams to anticipate in the UCL race because the one team that have gained huge odds of winning games is not in form. Real Madrid are struggling this season and it's been cleared after watching their domestic league games.

Real Madrid gradually bouncing back to epic form and winning matches is obviously a prime target for them. Carlo Ancelotti working extremely hard to knot the ties in his team, they've suffered defeats and also recorded winnings, but there's more chances of conquering matches if they keep a clean plate. Carlo Ancelotti have to bring in new players to strengthen his squad because injury blow now becomes a challenge for them.

After many key players were injured, we see Ancelotti experimenting a lot with his team. We can see in their last few matches, Ancelotti often changes the formation and starting eleven in every match. And it worked, Ancelotti was able to find the right solution and strategy that was able to bring the team back to victory.

But it is true with what you said, that Real Madrid must deepen its squad to be better and stronger. And I think for the January transfer market, Real Madrid will focus on the back line, because as we know that their two mainstay defenders, David Alaba and Eder Militao, have been injured for quite a long time, and only one of their mainstay defenders is still fit, namely Atonio Rudriger. And so that Real Madrid does not experience another emergency in the back line, they have no choice but to make purchases in the transfer market later.

As the team with the most titles in the UCL, Madrid certainly still has the opportunity to continue their performance to qualify from the group stage. From Madrid's experience, we have the confidence to be able to see at least until the semi-finals.
have you observed that this era of football is not just about who has been at the top of his games in the past or what have you? if that really counts, they should be topping the table or at least be among the top five on the champions league standing. the way this edition is going, no one is really certain what might come out of it and to be really honest, if they are able to get to the semifinals, it will be one wonder i will certainly want to look out for.
Although it may be too early to say this, the fact is that Ancelotti can always make Madrid stronger when he can get new players in January. We don't need to worry about this, because every season Madrid will try to continue to win titles in the UCL
possibility of an improvement in the team is not all that hinged on the January transfer windows but on the players that are already in the team getting all fit and playing together and assuredly the good result will start to come. maybe the only thing they need is an added defense that will play along Rudiger and a midfield that can feel up the place of tony Kross and that will just be it, any other thing more than that might complicated things when it comes to selection of players. the Madrid team already has a combination of one of the greatest players in the world and they can definitely find a way of getting the expected result.

Currently, Madrid is only adapting to new players like Mbappe and must survive when their mainstay players are injured. On the one hand, the new system also affects Madrid's performance. But all that will be a very small problem when they can qualify for the next round.
As team that has won most Champions League titles Real Madrid has good chance of moving on to next round. Because of their experience and past successes it is logical to think they will at least make it to semi finals. And for a club like Real Madrid that have been doing well so even if they are facing a lot of challenges All they need is to be encouraged even by the coaches because they have even tried because they have been looking for ways to encourage there self the more and don't be be surprised that they will for sure qualify for the next take off this something that is possible.
Honestly the possibility of Madrid making it back to a strong position is becoming very low. At this point people are becoming to have a very big doubt that they will make it through the next two matches, even if the improvement becomes so good that they win they are slowly losing the trust I used to have in the team but what I expect is them not to draw anymore match but just a straight wining for next few matches it's really going to help fans and the team too.
At this point I don't think Real Madrid will become stronger this season like they use to be unless they find a lasting solution to their problems and the injured players come back to the team it that doesn't happen then I'm afraid they may end up crashing out in their next two matches unless the coach comes of with a different tactics which we saw him apply in their last champions league match that they won.

I believe over the years fans of Real Madrid have celebrated them enough to realize that they will not keep winning forever so they shouldn't be trusting them so much now that they are trying to get back to form unless they want to keep being disappointed because the team is doing everything possible to get better but it's seems they need more time.

Real Madrid started this entire season not that great to me and they are where they definitely deserved now but I personally do not see them using the automatic qualification route to the round of 16 rather I see them going through the play offs which is just an extra game, seriously I would say Real Madrid are getting back in form and this moment they can comfortably beat any team of their Choice.

I see lots of fans losing hope in the fate of Real Madrid and I keep saying this don’t ever rule out  Real Madrid in a champions league competition because they seems to play it better in the later stages. Now In the group stage games they seems to not get ready for the new version and they lost games they shouldn’t but now they would be in the knockout stages they understand and I think it won’t be difficult for them again

They could beat any team at any time, but the question is whether their odds have decreased or increased based on their form. Now this is correct that their form was terrible when they got started into season 2024/25 and it improved from week to week despite the setbacks they had to go through because of those injuries. Frankly, they made the best out of it and actually played better when they had less players available and now that they are slowly getting back to full capacity with respect to available players, they can finally approach their best level step by step and they will need it considering their situation in the Champions League and also the competition in La Liga, which hasn't become any easier due to teams like Bilbao and Atletico trying to stir up the title race.

Real Madrid are ready to give their best after overcoming the injury storm. It took some time for them to recover from their injuries and they were able to come back at the right time.

Real Madrid's position in the UEFA Champions League is still not good, they have not won many matches in this league yet. But Real Madrid has managed to win more matches in La Liga. As the Real Madrid squad has all the players now, we can expect great performances from them in the upcoming matches. Currently, Real Madrid is at the top of the La Liga points table, but they are far down in the Champions League points table.

Madrid must show their improvement by winning the remaining 2 matches in UCL. That will be convincing for them to be able to go to the knockout stage. Although there is also a possibility that they cannot get a direct ticket by being in the top 8 standings, they can still finish everything to be able to qualify for the playoffs.
I still believe they will qualify for the knockout stage, only if there is a worse possibility that they go through the playoffs then hopefully Madrid is not too unlucky to meet a team that is also strong.

And it's true if Madrid want to show that they have improved they need to win the other two games which I know they will do everything possible to still see there self to continue participating because it will be very disappointing for them Not to make it to the next round and Madrid that don't even need to struggle and they are even thinking if eventually they don't make, what will now be next for them and sometimes we fans fail to understand that things will not go the way we want and we should alway learn to accept what ever the clubs are facing at that particular time.

And for a club like Real Madrid that have been doing well so even if they are facing a lot of challenges All they need is to be encouraged even by the coaches because they have even tried because they have been looking for ways to encourage there self the more and don't be be surprised that they will for sure qualify for the next take off this something that is possible.

Manchester City needs to do something if they want to qualify for the playoffs, and winning against PSG will really help them to qualify, and it will be difficult for them to win at the same time while PSG is also in need of the win to secure a better slot for their playoff qualification, as they are currently seated in the 25th position in the Champions League table.

However, their performances in the Champions League are almost similar, just that PSG in their domestic league is still ahead with a 10-point gap due to a lack of intense competition among the Ligue 1 teams.
Due to Champions League experience, I am expecting PSG to lose or draw to Manchester City because they always disappoint in the Champions League, and considering Pep Guardiola, he will do everything in his power to make it to the round of sixteen to save his team.
Honestly, they are already "in" at the moment, so all they have to do is better than the few teams behind them, and they are in.

This is of course not that easy and I can understand why that would look like a problem to many but in reality we need to realize that it is not going to be that much of an easy solution at all, we are going to see this issue for a very long time for City, or at least looks like that. It means, PSV and Dinamo and others could do similar levels and we could end up with something different.

Pep has tried plenty of things during this time, not like this is the first time he is trying something, he changed many things but so far nothing has helped. I feel like at this stage if players are not willing, there is nothing Pep can do to change for the better.

You might be wrong because City is suffering from bad performance and they are facing PSG in their next match. That match is their only opportunity thay will determine their qualification to the round of 16.

If they don't win PSG, they will go down the table and automatically out of the game because tbey will only have one last match to play that wouldn't change anything. I don't see them qualifying easily.
If you don't want to see them get away easily, then believe me you will see them get away with the hard way. It doesn't matter how difficult it is, what is clear is that Manchester City's performance is still better than PSG. Besides, PSG can't prove itself as a team that is really aiming for its first title in terms of team performance, so I tend to consider Manchester City as the winner in that match.

It's true as you say, Manchester City is struggling in the PL and CL and a win against PSG could change the whole situation for City and that's why I think they could win the game. It's almost Pep's last chance to turn the tide, if he fails here City will have their worst season since many years and also drop out of the CL, so the whole team will be very motivated.

Basically, both teams, PSG and Manchester City, of course, will do their best in their match later, because whoever loses in the match will make them probably have no chance to qualify for the play-off round. So, in this case, I think they will put aside their bad results in the Premier League first, and will fully focus on getting good results for the remaining two matches in the Champions League. So, even though PSG still looks fine, of course, in the decisive match for them, they will also have the ambition  and target to successfully get three points. Assuming that both teams will be equally strong, then maybe the result in their match later will be a draw and thus, basically they will still have a chance  to qualify for the play-off round.

I wanted to check out the odds for the CL title and saw this:

• Liverpool => 3.10
• Arsenal => 4.00
• Real Madrid => 4.00

Top 3 contenders are listed like this according to bookies. Real Madrid didn't start great but they are still considered really close to Liverpool. Not surprised of course. You know they are the king of the CL with the most amount of trophies.  Tongue

Barcelona follow these 3 clubs with 4.20 odds. I'm thinking of betting some on Real Madrid to lift the trophy. If they don't face each other earlier I believe we can watch a Liverpool - Real Madrid finale. That would be really lovely but we will see.

I think Barcelona will also do a good job as they have the strength to reach at least the semi finals. But I'm doubtful about doing more.
Real Madrid football team is high confident team and players of that team are doing well in the tournament and they are favorite to lift the cup . They should continue this hard work and they will get the result of that. Barcelona is also not small team and that team could lose their confidence and if they lose one match then they will face more loses . So Real Madrid team is best team of this tournament. Liverpool is also top team of this tournament and that team could win this tournament easy because we could see final match between Real Madrid and Liverpool . The final match will be exciting and any team could win this match.Liverpool won more matches in this tournament and has 42 and no team has 42 points except Liverpool ,so that team has good image in this tournament.

It appears I’m the only one who believes Manchester City will m make it into the next round of the Champions League. Manchester City remains a top side with world class players and an exceptional coach. Their experience and tactical flexibility gives them an edge even during these challenging times.
They have the squad depth and can rotate their players to cover up fatigue and maintain high performance in all competitions. I wouldn’t dare write them off, City’s track record in both domestic and European competitions speaks much about their capability to overcome obstacles.
In 6 games that Manchester City played in the UEFA Champions League so far, the reigning English champions have been able to garner just 8 points and sits on the 22nd position in the Champions League standings. Their next game in the competition will be an away game at Paris Saint Germaine who also needs to win that game to stand a chance of progressing to the knockout stages of the competition so I expect it to be a very difficult game for both teams. Again, Manchester City are currently struggling so I don't see them getting all three points in Paris. If they fail to win that game, then I don't think they'll be making it to the next round of the competition.
