As the most successful club in the history of the competition and with a manager that's the most successful in the competition as well, I'm still very hopeful that Real Madrid will survive the group stages of the UEFA Champions League

Actually, this new format made me a little confused at first, the draw against the team is quite advantageous because there will be many teams that have the opportunity to enter the knockout phase. It seems that the luck of the draw also affects each team.
Real Madrid is an experienced team, I think the chances of qualifying are still very big. But their steps seem to be longer, maybe because they will go through the Play Off. With the new format and the number of injuries, it makes it even more difficult for them to get maximum points. But if they fail it will be a bad record for Real Madrid.
This new format forces them to face more strong teams compared to the old format. Usually in the old format, we will see them face 3 teams from which we can measure the strength of each team. While here we see them face 8 different teams, also in which there are 8 different strengths. In addition, they also have to compete directly with 35 other teams in the same standings, different from before which only competed with 3 teams. Maybe we also realize that there are more big matches in the Champions League this season with the new format, so a team must work even harder to ensure they can qualify for the next round.

Four matches left for Real Madrid in phase league matches
  • Liverpool A
  • Atalanta A
  • Salzburg H
  • Brest A
Real Madrid can beat both Salzburg and Brest but in other two matches with Liverpool and Atalanta, risk of losing points is big. It's hard to say Liverpool and Atalanta are stronger than Real Madrid but they are strong enough to have points from Real Madrid.

Liverpool don't have good record in history with Real Madrid but it doesn't mean they won't be able to beat Los Blancos. Atalanta are the same, and their success in recent seasons as well as last season final match with Leverkusen are warnings for Real Madrid to be more careful with Atalanta. The club from Bergamo Italy, can beat any big club in a good day.

Real Madrid on their side, already ended their bad streak by a big win in La Liga, they are coming back strongly. If they return to their normality, beating Liverpool and Atalanta is possible.
Brest is one team you should never underestimate because they can surprise anyone who look down on them. Although they can be regarded as a small team when compared to Real Madrid and in the champions league where they have little to no experience to play a side that have won the competition back to back. Real Madrid jut had a four zero win this weekend and that could serve as a starting point for them to get back into winnings. So, I am hoping that they will have to win Salzburg and Brest and any of Liverpool and Atalanta, this will make them qualify for the next round in the champions league.

Injuries have been a big enemy to Real Madrid since the beginning of this season till date. On their last match yesterday against Osasuna, we saw how more players joined the train of injury. This has been their big challenge leading to their inconsistent performance in the past matches, but with the look of how Madrid players was able to win their match yesterday, it shows that they should not be underestimated in this league despite the ugly situation they're going through. They might scale through to the round of 16.

Barcelona and Liverpool's good chances are indeed based on their good results, but more likely on statistics. Bayern have one more failure than Barcelona at the moment, but they are rated worse. Real and City's good chances are based mainly on a long-term (pre-season) assessment of their strength - the clubs are currently doing much worse than expected and they are not leaders in their leagues, but it is assumed that in the long run they will be stronger than their bright (currently) competitors.
As for me, given the ongoing epidemic of injuries, I am no longer sure of anything.
His assessment is based on what is currently happening to Man City and Real Madrid, these two strong clubs are not in their best form, they are starting to have difficulty competing after the new format was implemented. I think Real Madrid are worse than Man City, the defeats to Lille and Milan make their chances of qualifying automatically very small. Madrid will also face Liverpool who have always performed well this season. Liverpool and Barcelona may have automatic qualification to the last 16, Munich and City still has hope, but Madrid will have to fight to qualify through the play-off, depending on the results of the remaining matches.

Real Madrid will most likely be alright eventually, but I think there is a chance that they will lose the next two Champions League games against Liverpool and Atalanta. Both games will be hard to win and if they only get 1 or 2 points from these games, I think it is possible that they will have to go through the play-offs and that could become quite problematic as they are not the only top team who may be forced to go for an extra qualification round. So many big names that there is a strong incentive to get into the top 8.
Being in 18th position with 6 points makes Real Madrid have to work harder to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, especially since the opponents they will face next are still very difficult to beat, especially when facing Liverpool. The reason is that Liverpool themselves are in very good condition now so their chances of winning when facing Real Madrid are quite large. It seems that they do have to go through the play-off round to qualify for the last 16 and that is if they can manage to maintain a safe position between 9th and 24th positions in the standings. Ancelotti must be able to ensure that they will still go to the last 16 after 4 remaining matches.

The bargaining power of Liverpool and Barcelona in the competition for the Champions League trophy continues to increase, along with the consistency of their performance in every competition they play. Manchester City chances seem to continue to decline due to four consecutive defeats, most recently Pep Guardiola squad lost to Brighton in the Premier League. While Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, show signs of revival, their chances of winning the trophy seem unchanged from before. Regarding Arsenal, their position is honestly more worthy of being occupied by Sporting CP, not to belittle Arsenal, but Sporting CP seem more to know how to beat Manchester City.
in fact, the decline in the performance of the favorite teams makes it increasingly difficult for us to predict every match they play, and how far they are able to go this season. In a broader picture, the new format of the Champions League has proven to produce more surprises, when the competition is increasingly competitive, even the favorite teams seem to have difficulty talking much this season.

The competition between Liverpool and Barcelona continues to be in the public spotlight because Barcelona is playing well and so is Liverpool, but in my opinion we cannot forget that Sporting CP is also a tough rival for Liverpool because of course from the standings Sporting CP is the closest to Liverpool and up to Currently Sporting Cp have never lost in the UCL this season and of course this is a very tight competition between Liverpool and Sporting Cp. and what is certain is that currently Sporting CP is better in terms of points when compared to Barcelona. But what is clear is that currently the competition between the 8 teams who are currently in the top 8 of the temporary standings will certainly be fiercely competitive.

Yes, with this new format, of course I think it's more exciting and of course all clubs have to adapt to this new format, but in my opinion, in this new format, a strong team is still a strong team and what makes it difficult for big teams to get to the top is because of their performance. which is not good because if the performance is good then there will definitely be nothing difficult for any team with this new format.

but this season it is very surprising because the favorite team will win and be in a good standings ranking such as being in the top 5, but in reality now many changes have occurred where many people's favorite team will have a good standings ranking it's even less good. One example is Real Madrid, but of course the main cause in my opinion is their declining performance. But of course there are still lots of matches and of course we'll see what surprises will happen in the UCL this season.

Four matches left for Real Madrid in phase league matches
  • Liverpool A
  • Atalanta A
  • Salzburg H
  • Brest A

Liverpool are amongst the best clubs in the European top five big leagues this season,  they'll have to step up against Real Madrid who's having too many players out injured.
Atalanta are also literally buzzing,  writing them off would be some dump decision to make, although Real Madrid won them already during the super cup earlier this season.

Salzburg would be the only club most likely to be some easy game. Brest are also buzzing during the Champions league competition.
As far as this season is concerned, Liverpool is currently the best performing team in Europe so playing against them will definitely be a difficult game for a Real Madrid side who have been struggling to get good results in big games. But if Real Madrid can avoid defeat against Liverpool, then I think they'll be capable of getting a good result against Atalanta while winning their games against Salzburg and Brest.
As the most successful club in the history of the competition and with a manager that's the most successful in the competition as well, I'm still very hopeful that Real Madrid will survive the group stages of the UEFA Champions League

I fully agree with you. With that shape they would never be able to win the Premier League if they were part of it. The Bundesliga is doable for them because all of the other teams are having issues and Leverkusen just tied a game against the weakest Bundesliga team Bochum. That's why at the moment the Bundesliga is no benchmark at all. They have 33:7 goals, which is of course not bad at all, but it doesn't help anything in any other competition. You can see in almost every single game that they can't turn their dominance into anything of value. The most obvious evidence was the game against Barcelona. You could literally take that game for educational purposes... Bayern Munich has the ball most of the time and Barcelona teaches them how to use ball possession.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich aren't on same level this season, Barcelona is almost more likely to be seen as far ahead in their form and performance their season than they have been before meanwhile for Bayern Munich they have a coach who is still trying to gather some experience around the champions League so their game play and productivity is definitely not going to be on same level and Bayern is doing better in their domestic league but the champions League is such they wouldn't be keeping some sorts of expectations on their season.

.................
While I believe they will most likely lose to Liverpool, they could win the other three games. Real Madrid is obviously not going to be in the top 8, that seems like a pipe dream at this point and they would have to win all four games and even then it could be tough but then they would be in top 8 if that happens.

However, if they do end up with three wins, then I am guessing they are going to be out of top 8 but still be in top 24 so that means they will be out of the group stages. Then we will see how they do on the next round, we have no idea who they will face, but based on who they face, they could still go to last sixteen. Whatever they do, they are not looking as dominant as they used to be, and that's a sad thing considering they added Mbappe to a team that won both La Liga and UCL at the same time. I believe they are going to face a bigger trouble, when the results are not as good as they hope, and if they lose, then things could turn very sour very quickly.

This season, Liverpool and Atalanta would impose stern tests on Real Madrid side. At present, both are yet to taste defeat in their last four matches and, as ever, Liverpool appear solid and seemingly very consistent. But perhaps more significantly, also the growth of Atalanta who matured into a much stronger team this season— they really look a threat.Liverpool and Atalanta might pose tough tests on Real Madrid in this season's UEFA Champions League. Both have shown impressive performances and are unbeaten in their last four matches. Liverpool have been very solid and consistent, while Atalanta have also matured and become a stronger team...

The last few matches when facing both teams, both Liverpool and Atalanta. Real Madrid managed to record quite good results, winning five times in a row when facing Liverpool and winning three times in a row when facing Atalanta, the last time defeating Atalanta in the super eufa final. However, this season both teams appear different and even stronger. so it could be that in this ucl match meeting, both liverpool and atalanta make a winning record against real madrid.

You are misinterpreting the data you published. Odds of 6.50 mean a greater chance than odds of 7.0 Barcelona are now literally the third favourite for the title:

Manchester City - 4.50

Real Madrid - 5.50

Barcelona Fc - 6.50

Liverpool - 7.00

Arsenal - 10.00

Fc Bayern Munich - 10.00

And in fact, 6.5 is not much different from 4.5 - the main favorite and 5.5 - the main winner of the Champions League.
Taking into account the decline of the main favorites, I see that the quotes have become much more even.
I think the odds calculations are still in favour of previous won recent championship and more of performance for some club this season, Barcelona is placed base on performance... the main reason why Mancity is still the first favourite to win is still based on the performance to win last year's UCL and at the same time they are still trying to put the effort once again..they're still doing well this season no doubt.
I will really love to see Liverpool or Barcelona or Bayern or Dortmund to lift that trophy, they have suffered enough  Cheesy.. I think the new pattern should bring about new winners for the trophy(hopefully)

I doubt Real Madrid will get qualify to knock out round or not with UEFA Champion League new format after defeating 2 of 4 matches and collected 6 points awhile. Last match make many fans shocked after Madrid defeating by not favorable team AC Milan have downtrend performance in domestic league bust success defeating Madrid on their home match. However Madrid have 9 points remaining reach to direct qualify to knock out round from Aston Villa but many teams have few points left to reach higher standings position will make difficult for Madrid get the higher standings position.

That is literally all they have at this point. They have a good defense and they trust their defense to keep them in the game, which they do and because of this I am going to be pretty sure that we are going to end up with a much worse situation in the end. What we need to realize about Bayern Munich this season is that they may still end up winning their league, but just because they may win Bundesliga doesn't mean that they are doing great, they are still not doing that great at all.

We need to realize they are still worse and at UCL I do not see how they could be any better, most probably they are going to end up with a much better result. I am pretty sure that we are going to see this grow to be a bigger deal, and because of that we can definitely consider Bayern to be a failure this year since they are not looking that good at all. I believe for a team to be a good team, at Bayern level, they need to win the league with ease, and have a potential for UCL as well.

Yesterday match of Bayern vs Benfica team, Bayern team won the match by scoring 1 goal. Benfica team could not score any goal in this match. Benfica team players tried hard to score but could not score any goal.  However, Benfica team could have drawn this match. The performance of the Bayern team players was really good for which Benfica team could not score any goals in this match.
Bayern Munich team defenders played critical role in this match because they have good physique and played well in this match.Benfica football team could not do any goal in this match and both teams have ranking close to each other. Both teams played 4 matches and  both teams have 6 points on points table which states that both are teams with same level. Musiala did goal when team needed and after no player became successful to do any goal. The stat of Bayern Munich team was wonderful and they striked 24 shots in this match and from which 10 were on target and pass accuracy was also brilliant by that team in this match.
That is literally all they have at this point.

Even though they have just managed to achieve a big win after beating Osasuna with a score of 4-0 in the continuation of La Liga, this result does not guarantee that they can achieve victory in the 4th UCL Match. Real Madrid will face Liverpool at Anfield, since the change of coach, Liverpool have performed very impressively with positive results that have made them top of the Premier League and Champions League standings. If Real Madrid lose at Anfield, they will immediately fall into the relegation zone, after which they will also face Atalanta who have been very productive this season.

Barcelona has currently shown a very impressive performance so I am confused why there are still those who doubt them and the matter of Barcelona not being the main favorite in the title race this season because at the beginning of the season they were doubted but now everything is different, Hansi Flick really managed to make a significant difference in the Barcelona team this season.
And to say anything to win the title this season is still too early but I think if we look at what Barcelona has shown this season then they deserve and there is a possibility for that, they just need to maintain their consistency there until the end of the season.
With the results that have been shown by Barcelona at the beginning of this season, of course everyone can conclude that Barcelona has received a better tactical injection from their new coach this season, but if you still see someone who doubts Barcelona this season even though they have seen good results from the Barcelona team, it might be because that person doesn't like the Barcelona team so whatever Barcelona has achieved at the beginning of this season is still very lacking according to them.
Perception can be true, I myself who are not supporters of Barcelona but admit that Barcelona does have many changes and has risen from the slump last season that made them not too productive, Hansi Flick gave new color and insight to be able to get victory with the existing squad, and He succeeded in maximizing the opportunities in front of him, so that the victory they got always looked maximal as a sign of their success.

Yes, even though we don't know that if we look further in a matter of one season we will not know what it will be like later, but now Barcelona must be recognized for rising and performing very well, only haters do not admit it.
