De Bruyne contract will be expired at the end of this season so without having to be sold automatically De Bruyne will leave Manchester City this summer and Guardiola has confirmed that this winter Manchester City will bought some players besides those players above i think Guardiola should be buy at least 1 striker as the substutition player of Haaland because i can see it that when Haaland unable to in form Manchester City don't have any good striker and indeed they have Phil Foden but his performance is decline and last season Manchester City has Julian Alvarez but unfortunately they sell him to Atletico Madrid

I agree with you, Man City cannot continue to expect Haaland to work hard up front. We also often see how Haaland becomes unhinged when he is pressured by the opponent's defense. In addition to the decline in performance that he could experience, injury is very likely to befall Haaland if he continues to get strong pressure in every game. Getting a striker with a sharpness that is not inferior to Haaland is also very important for Man City. They have quite a lot of matches in various competitions, so it will be very important to maintain the fitness of each player to maximize the team's performance. Man City has also felt that some of their players have been injured and that makes it difficult for the game to run as they expected.

Haaland is one of the best in the world, but he is not someone who can make the team champion on his own. We can say that Manchester City has not been very successful this season, they are not playing at the top right now and they may not even be in the Champions League next season.
Haaland cannot do anything on his own, it is necessary for someone to support him. It has been almost a month since the last match he scored a goal, we cannot ignore this

So far, Manchester City is only 1 point away from Real Madrid, which also has a chance to stay in the playoff zone. Manchester City is a team that is expected to rise from its slump in the Premier League and Champions League, but I do not rule out that they could also fail because of the team's lack of performance.

Not sure that Manchester city can rise from the slump in both leagues. At this point Pep Guardiola has to give up one league for the other, they have to stop trying to get into the top 4 position in the premier league and focus more on the champions league as they have already won the premier league many times but haven't done very well in the champions league as they only have one title on all the seasons that they dominated European football. Manchester city don't have to lose any game again so they can increase their chances of getting onto the playoffs position which is very possible as the other clubs in the playoffs position aren't that far ahead with points.

I don't see man city having any chance of passing this stage in champions League the reason why I'm saying so is because those teams that are playing this champions League are seen as one of the best in there various leagues and they are playing very well man city is finding it very hard to win the least team in there league so how will they win good teams in champions League it will be difficult and I don't think they can do that.
There are still at least 2 games they can use to win 6 points and stay in the playoff zone, then it depends on how they try in the playoffs. If you're not sure how they can do it, then I'm not sure how they can fail when there are still 2 games scheduled. Winning and losing are certainly consequences, but we never know what the outcome would be if the game had not ended.

You have basically answered your own doubts about Manchester City as per the quote below.

Pep guardiola is a great coach and I believe his going to set things right as soon as he plays new players he knows the kind of players that will give him what he wants and he knows how to make them play there best.

There is still plenty of time to make changes to their performance and I am also confident that Manchester City can get out of their slump and do everything to stay in the Champion League competition.
Manchester City still have 2 more matches and against PSG is their toughest opponent and if you look at the overall strength despite the slump that has hit Manchester City at this time I am still optimistic that Manchester City can win the match to advance to the play-off round.
I think it's too early to say Manchester City failed in the early stages of this season's Champions League even though their performance was actually very bad. Manchester City is still very likely to qualify for the round of 16 if they can stay in the playoff zone and win the match, but what is certain is that the competition is never easy.

I don't see man city coming back this season because there are a lot of things that's needs to be done in other for man city to come back and that is changing a lot of players and I don't think they can do that this January transfer window that will open soon however they can only try to meet up after January transfer window is open but since those players are new players they it will take them time for them to adapt and start playing well.

Real Madrid started this season on a poor note which made many question the club's ability to defend the Spanish and European Cup titles but in recent weeks, they've significantly improved their performances in both competitions. As the most successful club in the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid is currently facing difficulties in progressing to the knockout stages of the competition but having well experienced manager like Carlo Ancelotti as the club manager I think gives them the needed advantage over their opponents in the remaining two group stage games. Do you think Real Madrid will succeed in progressing to the next round? Let me read your thoughts.

Football is difficult and it only takes discipline and determination for a team to remain in good shape in consecutive seasons. Who could have an idea or vision to see Manchester City in this critical state? Nobody because they're in their best form and winning games was not a problem on their ends, but looking at their present day statistics, they're extremely craving for three points because the huge blow of inconsistency hits them so hard.

Manchester City should be grateful about the format of the UEFA Champions League because they would have been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League this season but luck on their side, they will play Paris Saint-Germain after Christmas Eve and giving them more time to work on themselves. The team have experienced too many weaknesses and on defeats streak which is not a proud thing to comment about the club. You still believe Manchester City will turn things around in EPL and UCL? Ofcourse the team's supporters had faith and Pep Guardiola will not let the team down especially the management when they need him the most.

Having this game as a deciding game for both teams has to be one reason why this game is going to be really tough and possibly interesting because both teams will be aiming to win but then win and they cant win together as one team has gat to win as against the other, Manchester City has been of a very poor performance and we all know but i still wouldn't use that as a reason to think that PSG was going to be the winner in this game, the most likely score I'm even expecting from PSG would be a draw and a win possible Win for Manchester City, Pep has always got his way around games like this and i don't see him loosing this particular one.
Yes. This will be a life and death match for both teams because winning this match will give them hope of qualifying for the play-offs and the loser will most likely not be able to advance to the next round. So this match is not only tough and interesting, but this match will also be a proving ground for both coaches between Pep Guardiola and Enrique.

However, I see Pep Guardiola's mentality is not as strong as Mourinho or Antonio Conte. Pep is used to the best team, with the best funds and the best position. However, when he experiences consecutive defeats, he is not ready and his mentality is chaotic.

So I am very sure that in this match PSG will continue Pep Guardiola's slump with Man City. Indeed, as you said, the UCL league schedule is still long so there is still time to build the squad again. However, seeing Man City's declining mentality and confidence, I doubt Pep Guardiola will be able to get through this match with a win. This season has been a bad season for Pep Guardiola as a coach, in fact, it was the first time in his coaching career that he experienced consecutive defeats and I think this will continue.

They have at least 3 week to improve their performance till January 22 I think and that should be aprox..  the weeks. Till then, their Premier league games will tell if they already step up their performance or they are still declining but it seem to have changed a little in theirlast two games even though they still draw and lose one.
They have up to 5 to 6 games ahead of them before UCL plus FA cup   Smiley that should tell a lot .. besides, PSG is not also playing well in UCL.
Hence, I won't come to conclusion until after 3 games ahead in PL and  like I said, it should tell a lot about their stand even though UCL is another phase on it's own.

It looks like this will be a deciding match for both of them because whoever loses this match will have a tough time qualifying for the playoffs. They don't just have to win the last game, but they will also likely depend on the matches of other teams. If you look at the current situation, PSG might have a better chance of winning than Man City because they have the home advantage and Man City has been really bad recently. Luckily the match will still be held for quite some time, so Man City still has time to improve their performance, and they might take advantage of this January transfer window.

I also hope Pep Guardiola can make changes in this important match, considering Manchester City's bad situation this season will make many people think that PSG has the potential to beat Manchester City and if that happens then Manchester City will be eliminated and PSG will add to Manchester City's suffering.

And in Manchester City's current situation, playing against PSG is not easy and as we know even though Manchester City continues to play well and dominate the game they still have difficulty winning matches in every match even when playing against a weak team Manchester City still has difficulty winning matches and eventually loses. And I think everything has its time and not everything that is faced always goes smoothly including football matches, maybe this season is a bad season for Manchester City and I think PSG will win this match.

At least, there are still two matches left that still allow them to still have a chance to qualify for the play offs, even though for example PSG lost against Manchester City but it looks like PSG will also still have a chance to finish in the top 24 if in their last match they managed to win. But yes, it is difficult of course if one of them loses this match, because it will make the chance very difficult because they also expect bad results for other competing teams who will both only maximize to be able to finish in the top 24. Thus, it is likely that their match will take place very carefully from both teams, making it difficult or tough for them to score goals.

IMO, it all depends on Pep Guardiola, whether he insists on always rotating his players especially Rico Lewis, or he will indeed prepare his core squad again like in previous seasons. I still hope Manchester City will return to their best performance, so that this competition will be more exciting. not only City, but Madrid, Barca and other teams. but overall regarding City, they must rise again and become one of the strong challengers in this competition. no one can deny that City players are generally great players, but currently their performance is really difficult to win their matches. whether it's in the Domestic League, or the Champions League. I want to see what Pep Guariola really wants, especially in the Champions League. their opponent in the 7th session is Paris Saint-Germain, not an easy opponent with City's performance as we see now. fortunately they still have time, even though their match schedule is very close and tight, at least it still gives Pep and his team time to regroup their strength. therefore, I will not speculate too much about how they will perform next, because we will know soon after they return to play their matches, especially in the two remaining Champions League qualifying matches.

The truth is that once Manchester City get their form back, it is possible they will focus on both the Champions League and their domestic league. However, if Guardiola notices that they are still in average form, he will definitely prefer to focus more on the Premier League so they can finish in a better position in the league table, ensuring Manchester City qualify for next season's Champions League.
Now the question arises, when will they return to their best form?
Currently City are like toothless lions who are having difficulty beating their opponents, they were not even able to beat Everton, let alone when facing a stronger team in the UCL. If Guardiola is able to improve his squad after taking advantage of the January transfer window, he must focus more on the domestic league to be able to compete again in the top four. I'm not sure City can survive much longer in the UCL, they will definitely lose when facing the favorites.
Citty match against PSG will determine if they can survive the group stage. If they fail to win PSG, they are gone. It's only the transfer window that can bring back hope to City because their current players have nothing to offer again for the club. EPL is the only league that City can be hopeful of and that depends on the team's strength after getting new players in January.
Manchester City is performing the worst at the moment which is definitely a good thing for PSG because if they perform well then they can definitely beat Manchester City. We have seen Manchester City's performances in the last few Premier League matches where they have been beaten against much weaker opponents than them. If Manchester City performs the same way against PSG in the Champions League, then PSG will definitely defeat Manchester City and secure the next round of the Champions League. However, there is no such player in the team that PSG can dream of at least qualifying for the Champions League final or semi-final. So I would say that their dreams will probably end in the Super Sixteen or the Quarter Finals.

Man City has also felt that some of their players have been injured and that makes it difficult for the game to run as they expected.
Haaland thrives better when the full team is actively performing at their best. He is just a good finisher and not a fancy player. That's why when the pressure from opposing team becomes too heavy his performance for that very match starts retarding. Kelvin se Bruyne has been a big contribute factor to the City squard and Gaurdiolla would need to look out for his replacement in the coming transfer market.

Instead of getting a replacement for Haaland I think Gaurdiolla should focus on his wingers  and central midfielders. If this positions are stable then then Haaland will be at his best again where all the need do is feed him with the ball at the right position and allow him perform his magic

We have seen how Man City played without Kevin De Bruyne when he was injured. He plays a very important role in the team. If he is not on the team, then Man City should have got a replacement. Maybe that will be their main priority.
Regarding Haaland, I just think Man City has a striker who can also be a team supporter. Maybe not as good as Haaland, but having a player like that who can replace in difficult situations will certainly help Man City in difficult situations.
Man City will solve the problem from the most important first, including finding a player who can replace Kevin De Bruyne's role.
Actually, if we look at what happened to them at this time, losing Rodri was the beginning of the downturn of Manchester City, so I think Guardiola should prioritise finding a replacement for Rodri in the near time.

KDB is the motor of play and attack of manchester city but so far they can still win even without KDB in the squad, but even so the role of KDB in organising and also building attacks is very crucial so manchester city also cannot lose him without the right replacement later to keep the balance of their team.

About Haaland, he is a great striker but still they also still need another striker who can replace his role, especially so far we see that Haaland has difficulty breaking into the opponents goal when facing a team that has a solid defence, so Guardiola needs other striker as alternatives if Haaland does not contribute in a match.

Manchester City's season is not going well at all. We can't say that the start of the Champions League is good at all for Guardiola's team. However, their influence in every previous league is etched in the minds of football fans and they hope that Guardiola will return to his old form with his team.
This season of Manchester City is not going well at all, maybe their team coach Pep Guardiola is trying a lot for that but they are not able to do it. Manchester City had previously won the UEFA Champions League, so many supporters of the team expected that they might be able to make a strong impact in the Champions League this year as well.
Quote
However, we cannot judge anyone by looking at the bad state of one season. They should learn from their failures how other teams are improving and getting ahead of them. They should learn from other teams how to update themselves day by day. However, I think Pep Guardiola is a talented manager. Although he has kept a bit of silence this season, he has kept his pressure in the past. We cannot deny the flip side of the coin, maybe this time is not good for Manchester City. But I believe that Guardiola will return to the field very soon with a new plan.
Perhaps we shouldn't blame Manchester City's team coach for their ongoing poor performances at the moment. No matter how hard their team coach tries, if Manchester City's defense, midfielders and attacking players are not strong, this team will not be as strong as it was before. Manchester City is a midfielder player who is injured, maybe Manchester City could have done a stronger performance if he was included in the team.

PSG's chances of qualifying for the playoff round do not depend on the results of other teams if they win the remaining two matches against Manchester City and Stuttgart. One point difference in the standings with Manchester City become big opportunity for PSG to replace The Citizen's position in the standings to get a slot in the playoffs round. I think PSG not have waiting the other team matches result if can secure three points at two matches left and directly will drop Manchester City outside from playoff round standings place.

Champion League season 2024/24 very interested after several top teams have drop to bottom standings position, have opportunity any top teams will face at playoff round match after difficulty reach the top eight position standings. Recently only Liverpool have been qualify to knock out round directly and the upcoming match seems Barcelona and Arsenal have opportunity will get qualify.
