The truth is that once Manchester City get their form back, it is possible they will focus on both the Champions League and their domestic league. However, if Guardiola notices that they are still in average form, he will definitely prefer to focus more on the Premier League so they can finish in a better position in the league table, ensuring Manchester City qualify for next season's Champions League.
Now the question arises, when will they return to their best form?
Currently City are like toothless lions who are having difficulty beating their opponents, they were not even able to beat Everton, let alone when facing a stronger team in the UCL. If Guardiola is able to improve his squad after taking advantage of the January transfer window, he must focus more on the domestic league to be able to compete again in the top four. I'm not sure City can survive much longer in the UCL, they will definitely lose when facing the favorites.
Citty match against PSG will determine if they can survive the group stage. If they fail to win PSG, they are gone. It's only the transfer window that can bring back hope to City because their current players have nothing to offer again for the club. EPL is the only league that City can be hopeful of and that depends on the team's strength after getting new players in January.

They have to sell Kevin De Bruyne, they have to let go of IIkay Gundugan, they'll need a replacement for Kyle Walker and also a new central defender who can do neat and proper defending job. Until they do that, they'll be no where near the top or being one of the best again. Since Rodri the world best player will be returning soon from injury,  his role can be overlooked but I doubt that. In the champions league,  I don't see them going far.

Manchester City really experienced a very bad setback in the current league both at UCL and at EPL, it is true that I agree with you at UCL it is very small, but in the EPL it is still very long and can reverse the situation so that if Pep is focused In the EPL it might increase its position in EPL, seeing Chelsea who continue to advance and develop well in EPL after a long time they have been slumped, it is a great thing, of course Manchester City with a large PEP can be missed this season by not giving competition Means that in the EPL league, losing UCL will not be a problem, but that if we will have a win win solution for Man City Agara can bring the trophy this season.
I don't agree with you, of course because I think Manchester City still has a big chance of winning the Champions League title compared to the Premier League this season. The main requirement that must be completed is to qualify for the round of 16 regardless of having to go through the playoffs, then qualify for each other stage until the final. The gap in points created only prevents them from automatically qualifying for the round of 16, but their chances are still good because they are still among the teams that can take advantage of the playoffs to win tickets.

Even if it is reasonable to expect Liverpool and Chelsea to slip up, I tend to believe that Manchester City will fail to retain the Premier League title. The points gap is very high so far and that is the main reason why I have to say they failed. While there are 3 matches that Manchester City can use to qualify for the round of 16, in the rest we won't know what will happen.
If you really want to continue in the Champions League, it is necessary to defeat PSG in the 7th match and De Brudge in the eighth match so that he can continue to get the ticket, if only he failed to fight PSG Danaat also the team under the standings got a victory in his last match Man City did not Having hope but we do not know it so there is still a possibility to be fought for in order to enter the play off round.

Yes, even so as in fact at this time on the standings board and in or paper which incidentally Man City has a setback and it is very difficult to get another victory to bring the trophy but Guardiola is there, the possibility can change much better in his hand.

It's still a sensible choice if you're considering Real Madrid because Real Madrid can be very good in the knockout phase anyway. Because from the previous few seasons also in my judgment Real Madrid is not too good in the group phase even so, Real Madrid still managed to become group winners and even still managed to get the trophy. Also, although this time the format  is no longer a group system, but at least Real Madrid also still has a chance to be able to advance further even though it might have to go through the play offs.

But anyway, if I consider about their position in the current standings, then of course Liverpool deserve to be the top favorite. But even so, I personally still don't fully believe Liverpool will make it to the final match and get the Champion League trophy this season. With that reason, I believe there could still be surprises to come, and the odds  for the other teams also are very good  in the screenshots below.

This table appears dynamic to me in the sense that it wasn't in this form before now, the odds were probably higher and Manchester city and Real Madrid as usual were having the smallest because it was believe they were the two teams with the most chance of wining the champions league title this season but going but the current form and strength of Liverpool, they are now looking even more promising than the teams who were having the most expectations from in the early time of the season. Arsenal and Real Madrid having the same odds feels strange as before now Arsenal will have higher odds than Madrid will.
Before the start of the new season of the Champions League, I said that Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich will be in the favorite position this season, but these three teams are performing the worst this season, especially in the Champions League. Although Manchester City is showing some hope that they will do well this season as well but we are not seeing the kind of performances from Bayern Munich and Manchester City that we can assume that these two teams will do well. At this stage of the season, I now feel that Real Madrid and Liverpool will do well in the Champions League this season and either of these two teams will probably make it to the Champions League final.

Not mentioning Barcelona because Barcelona have not been performing well recently. Since Barcelona's La Liga performance has not been very good, it is natural to assume that their Champions League performance will not be very good either.

A very good question, and it will be very difficult to answer, and can only be answered by Manchester City itself.
If you look at the composition of the players they have, most of us would think they will be able to find their best form in a short time, but that is not a guarantee. We can look at their city rivals as a reference for example. In terms of player composition, Manchester United should be able to recover quickly but they need several years for that and even until now they have not been able to recover.
Yes I know they are different, because we cannot equate the process of one team with another team, but at least it can be an illustration that being able to recover is not something easy even though it is not something impossible either.

I have been thinking back and forth about Manchester City and I was so convinced that they need this one game where they turn it around last second, celebrate a great victory and regain their confidence. But when you watch their games, you can see that there are systematic problems within the team as they can't find the gaps anymore with their game that consists of a lot of passing around the box. Haaland is lost most of the time and he can't use his speed because the opponents almost never give him that space. He now has to play more like Lewandowksi and he doesn't have the quality when the ball is crossed in high like Ronaldo with his headers. It is a terrible game for him and he doesn't receive any great assists.

I would be very surprised if suddenly Manchester City rises out of the ashes and plays like they use to do in the past. It isn't a team that has a short term crisis. It is more like a team that needs an overhaul and an adjusted strategy or otherwise Haaland will remain toothless along with his teammates.

Depending on the results obtained at the last match. Consideration of the last match that will take place simultaneously, Manchester City will be a away team that will play at home to PSG. You can judge for yourself how PSG is now in the Champions League table. PSG is in 25th position with 7 points. Meanwhile Manchester City collected 8 points and is in 22 position.
If Manchester City is able to take 1 point against PSG and in another match Stuttgart is able to win 3 points, Manchester City will automatically fail to advance to the last 16.
With 2 games left I think City vs PSG is crucial for both teams. They have to win those games to still have a chance to advance to the next round. City will face Club Brugge and PSG will play Stuttgart in the last game. City has a chance to win the last game and has a chance to advance to the next round. On the other hand Club Brugge has to face tough challenges against City and Juventus. City's chance to advance is still big. But I doubt PSG to advance from the group stage. They will face City and Stuttgart. With their current form I think they have to show their best game and win the remaining 2 games.

Manchester City's season is not going well at all. We can't say that the start of the Champions League is good at all for Guardiola's team. However, their influence in every previous league is etched in the minds of football fans and they hope that Guardiola will return to his old form with his team. However, we cannot judge anyone by looking at the bad state of one season. They should learn from their failures how other teams are improving and getting ahead of them.
Actually I want to think positively for Pep and Man City, because after all, Man City is a giant club, and has won a treble winner. and Man City has always been one of the favorite clubs to become a UCL finalist. And even at the beginning of this season, even the fans, until now still believe that Man City can come back stronger again.
I think this season is the beginning of the downfall for Pep Guardiola at Man City after achieving a lot of success with his club now he has to feel the bitterness of going through a slump and pressure from the club, I know the fans love Pep Guardiola very much and the club loves him too but if it continues to decline I think Pep's position as a manager is increasingly unsafe because the club still needs the highest level regardless of Pep having been Man City's successor so far, I think the club will wait for the final results of this season if Man City does not finish in the UCL zone I feel Pep will be fired.

However, if we look back at the results of the match so far for Man City, both in the Champions League (UCL) and the Premier League, this is quite devastating. Just imagine, how clear the list of their match results so far is:

The moment we all come to understand that no one is a master of knowledge we will appreciate the good times and expect the worst as well. I mean Pep and his boys has been dominant in every competition in previous seasons and this season it seems he is slacking. This doesn't mean he has lost his good days but a clear indication that others are also making improvements on their selfs and team as the season goes by. All Gaurdiolla needs is to go back to his drawing board come up with another strategy that will stand tall enough. I just feel all he needs is an upgrade on strategy.

It's unanimous to acknowledge that Pep Guardiola is currently in serious hassled mode. Littrely Pep can't find anything to solve his problem expect new signing. Because recntly Pep Guardiola tried every possible tactics that could be tried but failed to win the match. So, according to my opinion, there is only one solution to this problem, that new signing should be done. Like what is missing in the team should be filled up by new players. In this regard, I would also like to state that Pep has given Manchester City something that no one has even thought of, such as the Champions League, Premier League titles, and a lot of trophies. So Pep services are remarkable. He should be given respect, he is one of the best coaches. He needs motivation in the current situation. He himself is trying to find a way to get the team back on the winning track. So I hope Pep Guardiola will manage the team very soon. Stay positive and believe in him, he is one of the best coaches in the world.

At this point, I honestly believe that City should not care about UCL at all this season. It is not going to end up with them winning it, we can see that and know that, and going any further would give them just a smaller amount of money that they do not need, they are already a rich club. So, it would make more sense if they could just end up with a better return without having any of these issues.

I believe that we are going to see something great here, something that benefits everyone, and that will not be all that easy to recover if they focus on UCL too much. Ignore UCL, and focus on EPL and try to be in the top four at the end of the season, that is all they should be caring about at the moment.

Manchester City this season is very farm the good form we saw from them before. Manchester City was a team that was about to win the Champions League each season because of the result they got.
Also in the Premier League Manchester City and Arsenal were two teams racing for the title at the end of the season and now Manchester City is now even thinking about winning the Premier League and the station of this team in the Champions League is now good at all.

City still has a chance to advance to the next round even though they have to go through the play-off round. And Pep as a coach must be able to maximize that opportunity well. and in my opinion with his experience, Pep should be able to bring City back to winning ways, plus Pep has enough time to improve City's performance in the Champions League, because City will return to competing in the Champions League on January 23, 2025, where City will travel to Pcs Des Princes to face the strongest team in the French league, namely PSG. A fairly difficult match, but a great coach is a coach who is able to take advantage of and maximize the opportunities he gets even though they are very small.

Depending on the results obtained at the last match. Consideration of the last match that will take place simultaneously, Manchester City will be a away team that will play at home to PSG. Manchester City and PSG are at least elite teams that are not in a good position at this moment, although Manchester City is still in a better position than PSG but still, they should be in the upper zone of the standings or at least in the top eight. Thus, the winning result is certainly the result that remains their target but at the same time,that Manchester City and PSG at this moment are also both in bad performance especially about Manchester City which is also bad in the Premier League. Thus,maybe their last match could be the decider when Manchester City plays at home against Club Brugge and PSG plays away against Stuttgart. Because I think, for the match between PSG vs Manchester City maybe the result  could be a draw.

It will be a really sad one and probably the first time ever if it happens that Manchester city are unable to proceed beyond the group stage of the champions league, I'm hoping they are going to win this fixture and make sure to advance to the knock out stage of the champions league, they re too experienced to have themselves knocked out of the champions league at the group stage which is very unusual and their coach did said the other time that he's got the support of the management so they aren't even thinking of changing him which i do think is not necessary at this point but then he should try to improve the team.

I wanted to check out the odds for the CL title and saw this:

• Liverpool => 3.10
• Arsenal => 4.00
• Real Madrid => 4.00

Top 3 contenders are listed like this according to bookies. Real Madrid didn't start great but they are still considered really close to Liverpool. Not surprised of course. You know they are the king of the CL with the most amount of trophies.  Tongue

Barcelona follow these 3 clubs with 4.20 odds. I'm thinking of betting some on Real Madrid to lift the trophy. If they don't face each other earlier I believe we can watch a Liverpool - Real Madrid finale. That would be really lovely but we will see.

I think Barcelona will also do a good job as they have the strength to reach at least the semi finals. But I'm doubtful about doing more.
In as much as Liverpool are the favourite to win the UEFA Champions League with an odd of 3.10 followed closely by Arsenal on second with 4.00 and Real Madrid in third with 4.00, I don't think Liverpool will be able to win the trophy. Arsenal has not been consistent with their performance making Real Madrid the better suited candidate to lift the trophy for the second time in a row. Based on Real Madrid’s squad depth and quality of players they have, I think Real Madrid are a strong contender for the trophy. And as for Barcelona I’m don’t think they will make it to the finals based on the financial problems that they are facing.

Manchester City is not doing well this season, and I don't think they can win any trophy this season because their performance was very poor this season. Guadiola has not been progressing since his players started going to injury this season, and they still have hope to win the Champions League if they can pick up form while they are still in the group stages of the competition, and if the windows are open, they can probably get key players that can help them improvein the competition, because some of Manchester City fans don't watch there games anymore because they know that they are not good like last season. they can't win matches expect they draw or lose. that is what they are just doing last 5 matches in the Epl. The Champions League will be back next year and Guadiola don't have any trophy they can target now if not the ucl, and Liverpool are still topping the ucl table but I still beleave that they won't achieve the trophy.

We have seen hell this season and I have seen a lot of hateful comments about how the performance of Manchester City is going and people are using our previous season to compare with what is actually happening now and the team have been suffering from a lot of failures this season and I don't think we deserve what we are going through because we are one the best players that anyone can actually know the fact things are not going well makes the league boring for me and if Manchester was in display it would have made it more entertaining to watch. And if it's about learning from our mistakes am very sure that pep would have been discovering were most of this problems are coming from. And I don't know why I still have faith that they will do well eventually might not be this season but I love my club still. And I did not lose hope for the city at all. And I love how pep is acting this days because his good but I don't how worried he looks sometimes and this is something that is clear that life is a dice but I understand since is management this is one of his worst but he will eventually figure it out we fans hope so, pep is a good man.

But even though they can't bounce back and be great I think it's natural, seeing the defeats suffered by Manchester City both in the Champions League and the English Premier League, my conclusion is that it is a natural cycle, if you ever remember the sentence that the kingdom will not always be glorious, power will not always be prime and therefore this also happened to Manchester City in my opinion, when they experienced a decline and were no longer competing at the top it was natural because it was a form of the natural cycle, they would not always be winners.

But if after this holiday break they can develop better, it might be a blessing for Guardiola and Manchester City.
