With the current system to qualify directly without a Play-Off it seems difficult for PSG. Currently they are at number 19. So I think it will be difficult to qualify directly. But if it's for the League, then I think PSG is still quite good. They seem to have to work hard, besides that bringing in experienced players in the UCL is certainly a good factor. In addition, the mentality of fighting hard must be applied, so that their understanding has been paid dearly. Let's see if there is still a chance for them to go straight to the next round.
I agree about their spot for the direct qualification because their performance is not good in Champions League which allow them to have spot into the 8 most chances we will have them into top 20 teams which is also decent because their current squad is not experienced, and they needed time for having good depth which will bring good results for them.

Their schedule in Champions League is also not easy because they are having few matches which are surely needed good effort with quality which is not available, but they can manage as they are having good coach which know how to bring good results in these situations.

Leipzig is actually a strong club in the Bundesliga but in the Champions League its performance is different, it tends to have difficulty competing with its opponents in the Champions League even though it always gets tickets to play in the Champions League every season but it seems like it doesn't have the strength to go further and often it stops in the last 16 or the last 8 and sometimes it only reaches the group stage and is finally relegated to the European league there too he also didn't play optimally, especially this season the competition is no longer a group he has to face several matches that are more difficult than the group stage so I think this season he can't qualify for the last 16 if he is not really serious about facing the UCL match.
Playing in Champions League and Domestic league is completely different things because we have too many challenging things in Champions League which make things not easy for few clubs RB Leipzig is also one of the clubs which always have problems in Champions League even their performance in Bundesliga is stable which allow them to have spot into top four which is good.

Now soccer is surely huge game even clubs need huge funds for having quality and skilled players which can give them better results, and we are having not all clubs on same level in finances, but things can take good changes as we are having good development in few clubs which are doing good work for their structure and having good quality in all competitions.

These are the odds.

~~
It doesn’t matter the odds, I know it is not going to be an easy game for Barcelona to defeat Bayern Munich because even as Barcelona are much better and stronger under Flick’s management, Bayern Munich are also a strong side under Vincent Kompany. Both sides have a good squad and a score to settle when they meet. I am anticipating this game because of how much it has been talked about. I hope we get to see lots of goals and thrilling moments in this game, this should not be a boring match.
That match will be very interesting and I am curious about that match  because both teams are good teams of that tournament and players of that teams are best and they are doing well for that game . But I will support to  Bayern Munich team and that team has good stat against Barcelona . But Barcelona team has capability to upset  Bayern Munich because we are watching last matches of  Bayern Munich in which they are not playing like champions and they should focus on their mistakes and they have to work on that to win this tournament.Araújo and D. Olmo are injured due to hamstrings and that point is in the favour of  Bayern Munich and they will be happy after that and  Bayern Munich has edge on that.

Odds can change before the match is rolled out, especially if both teams experience obstacles before the meeting of the two teams. but for now Barcelona is slightly more favored than Bayern Munich, especially playing at Camp Nou. Barcelona is now not under the care of Xavi Hernandez, who only relies on defense and counterattacks. Flick has a different style, offensive and gives high pressing to his opponent. interestingly, can Flick do it against Bayern Munich. well, it's worth waiting for this match. in the Munich camp, they have a good record from meetings with Barcelona. unfortunately, Kompany must work hard to maintain Munich's dominance so far. not an easy task, especially since Bayern slipped when playing against Aston Villa. although Barcelona's defensive pillar is injured, Flick has other options for that. so far they have played well, this match is a test for them, especially the young Barca players. Barca benefits because Bayern is not as fierce as before, Kane is not too aggressive this season by becoming a goal machine under Kompany. what is clear is that this match is highly anticipated, I can't wait for it.

Yes you are right, it will be very difficult for Paris Saint Germain to qualify without going through the play off round, and even all teams will not be easy to qualify directly, because the competition is very tight with a league system like this. Goal productivity after completing all matches in the league round may also be a determinant for a team whether they will qualify automatically or have to play in the playoffs. Looking at the existing standings table, we can see that there are also many teams with the same points, only goals make their positions different. 7 teams have the same points of 6 points, 7 other teams also have the same points, namely 4 points. Even from the teams that have 4 points, many teams have the status of favorites. So this competition is indeed very tight.
The new league format of the champions league actually makes it compulsory that every one has gat to go through the group stage before been able to qualify for the next round of the champions league, i believe strongly PSG is making it through their group stage and you will wonder why, actually, if you look at their opponents so far and even after now, you will agree they have still got some chances of making it pass that stage as beyond that stage they may then have to face tougher teams which will be more challenging and may cost they their further stay in the champions league.

I also feel that this time PSG will have quite a hard time getting straight through to the next stage. But that doesn't mean this team can't do it. It's just that they have to work harder to get it. And perhaps it is more likely that PSG will only qualify through the playoffs first. Let's see what matches PSG will face at this stage. The opponents they face will really make PSG lose points. For example, in the 4th match they will face Atletico Madrid, then in the 5th match they will face Bayern Munich and then in the 7th match they will have to face the most difficult opponent, namely Man City. So it will be quite difficult for PSG to get full points in these matches. But because this is the Champions League, it could turn out that our guess is wrong. And even PSG was able to qualify smoothly.
I don't also see much hope for PSG at the Champions league this season unless magic happens. If Arsenal can crash them 2-0 at Emirate Stadium, whereas PSG have been known to be strong both home and away, I don't expect much from them this season. The big teams namely Bayern Munic, Manchester City and Real Madrid will easily overpower them judging from the bad performance they showcased against Arsenal. Assuming they still have Angel Di Maria in the team, then we could have expected some magic.

having psg and real madrid in the same group is a truly strange thing, two potential champions league final teams in the same group, it's certainly not the fault of this new format but it could also happen with the old one, it's still absolutely strange that two teams like this strong are in the same group

What do you mean by PSG not having good quality players this season? Are you saying that Kylan Mbappe was the only quality player PSG had? Most of the key players of PSG like Dembele, Marco Asensio and Lucas Hernandez. These are still good players that are first squad even in their respective national teams. PSG is perfect in their local league just that they are yet to retain good status in European competition Although it is too early to say and I believe they still stand a chance at that because the competition is still very early.
Correct, only Mbappe is the quality player PSG had.

Asensio and Hernandez aren't good anymore, because if they're perform really well, their ex teams will want to keep them. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are top tier teams, they're not deserved to be compared with PSG.

Dembele isn't even the best player, but he's ego is like Mbappe. It's make sense for Mbappe become selfish person because he's the best player.

The situation that Bayern Munich is currently experiencing is certainly very beneficial for Barcelona, especially since Hansi Flick can now play several key players who were previously in the treatment room. The sharpness of Barcelona's front line in breaking through the opponent's goal is also a big threat for Bayern Munich, Kompany must be able to anticipate surprises from Barcelona who are in their best form. The factor of playing at Camp Nou and Hansi Flick's career history as a former Bayern Munich coach makes them more favored in this match.
Such talks have been made before the start of the season, it would be foolish for PSG to regret their squad now. They have seen that earlier with good quality players they could not compete hard with other teams in the Champions League so this season without good quality players how can they compete against the big teams in a tournament like the Champions League. At the beginning of the season I discussed this team that PSG will not do very well in the Champions League tournament. With PSG's current performance, there are doubts about them winning the league title. But if PSG is satisfied with this performance, we have to accept it.

On a brighter side I agree with him. PSG does not the right players to win the UCL league. Its not that they have a completely terrible players or bad performances. Their players are good enough to keep the team up and running but they need more better players to push the team forward. At least one or two players that can pressure and force the attack effectively.

Absolutely in their individual league they have been invincible, same with Monaco. If PSG cannot play better in the Champions League without Mbape being in the squad then i can barely say that they don't have any player that can be compared to Mbapae in terms of firing in the UCL.

Yes, they are good PSG players at the moment, maybe what he meant was the star players in it like Mbappe, Neymar or Messi while they are currently gone and the last one Mbappe left the team, he is the only star player who has a strong mentality among the others so that PSG's appearance in the UCL is not optimal, they are indeed not in doubt in the local league but in the UCL their chances are getting smaller than usual.

Previous match.

  • Brest vs Sturm 2-1 (Sturm is a weak team, and Brest deserved that victory)
  • Salzburg vs Brest 0-4 (And Salzburg is also the same as Sturm which has a bad performance)

Upcoming match.

  • Brest vs Leverkusen (a difficult match for Brest)
  • Sparta vs Brest (Brest still has a chance)
  • Barcelona vs Brest (It won't be possible Brest to beat Barcelona)
  • Brest vs PSV (Against PSV getting a draw has become the best result for Brest, but it's very difficult)
  • Shakhtar vs Brest (a good opportunity for Brest to get additional points)
  • Brest vs Madrid (Something that is impossible can hold a draw or defeat Madrid)

Brest just did what they should have done so far. They haven't failed in more winnable games. Even beating Salzburg in such way surprised me honestly. But still there are 6 games ahead and nearly all of them are tough ones.  Sad  It is really difficult to see Brest finishing in top 8 considering this fact. They need to play very extra you know.

I think they will collect 0 point against Leverkusen, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Maybe one point against the rest of the teams there. In that case I don't think 9 points would be enough for top 8 at all.

The defense condition of the Bayern Munich team is indeed not good because after I traced all the players who strengthened Bayern Munich this season, it turned out that there were seven players who were injured and five of them were in the center and right back positions. While the other two are in the wing and attacking midfielder positions so that this could certainly be very beneficial for Barcelona besides the match that will be played is also at Barcelona's home ground. However, Barcelona should not be happy about this because in the Champions League, even the slightest mistake can have fatal consequences for the team as a whole.
The situation that Bayern Munich is currently experiencing is certainly very beneficial for Barcelona, especially since Hansi Flick can now play several key players who were previously in the treatment room. When a strong team plays against another strong team, the managers of the two teams will try to find out each other's weaknesses. Bayern Munich have some obvious weaknesses that are easy for any manager to plan around. If they can't fix these weaknesses before the Barcelona match, Barcelona will put a lot of pressure on them.

Everyone is interested in the outcome of the match between Bayern Munich vs Barcelona, but Bayern Munich is not a weak team. In the list of the best teams in the Champions League, Bayern Munich will definitely take place, so if Barcelona wins the match against Bayern Munich, they will have to perform much better than Bayern Munich. But I will always bet on this match for Bayern Munich.

It's hard to be in a good position right now in the Champions with 2nd position with two wins, and I think they will continue to work optimally because they have finished two games well, their confidence is certainly good, I think the blow in the Champions still has a chance for them to pass this phase, but seeing them in the French League is very slow but on the contrary their good performance in the Champions is quite good, facing Bayer Leverkusen at home in the continuation of the Champions match I think they have a chance to win the match playing at home and also they are quite good at home especially Leverkusen is declining after their last match drew, I am quite sure this Brest team will pass this phase even though many people look down on them I think they will survive in the next phase. Brest is indeed quite tough and also a tough meeting they will face Barcelona and also Real Madrid but seeing Real Madrid has also been defeated by French representatives before I think they also have a chance to do that the fact is Real Madrid has not been stable enough this season compared to before I think Brest will present many surprises in the Champions event this time.

Bruh, you wrote 10 lines of text ignoring two things that I specifically highlighted
- they played two of the weakest teams in the competition, both with no victories in two matches
- they will face 4 tough teams in the next matches

Do you really think that team that got trashed 3-0 to Auxerre, 5-1 by Marseille, and 3-1 to PSG will miraculously beat Real Madrid and Barcelona or even manage to get some points from Bayer or PSV? Also, what's tough about them after all, look at their Ligue1 sheet, they faced 7 teams, lost 4 matches won 3, is that any sign of being a team that would end up in the top 8 in the Champions League when they can only manage place 11 in La Ligue with a negative goal difference? And more importantly, have you actually seen them playing?

From this statement I strongly agree with @stompix because Brest is actually not a team that is equivalent to the elite team at UCL. While some of the teams that will be faced by Brest are big teams that have a lot of experience at UCL. Of the 4 matches mentioned @stompix, surely Brest will lose 12 points and this will be an opportunity for other elite teams to shift Brest's position in the standings.

PSG have always got this dominating trait in the domestic league with them winning over and over again in their French league but despite that show of muscles and supremacy at the league level they have had an inconsistent performance in the UEFA Champions League over the years. Since the 1990s when they were able to reach the semifinals, they haven't gotten any significant achievement in the UEFA Champions.

It is recently, in 2020, the club was able to make some mark by reaching the Champions League Finals against Bayern Munich but unfortunately, they lost the match to the opposition. In the tournament after that, which was 2021, they also reached the level of semifinals but were some more defeated.
We're talking about the UEFA Champions League this season, talking about elite clubs that are based on streak winnings and having spectacular stats in this particular tournament. PSG are no where near this phase because they're just classified as a competitive club that have ambition for lesser results, when it comes to the main goal, they're left outside because they failed completely to develop main strategy. No threats for Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue One this season, not only this current campaign but in the past decades, they've always been ontop and back to back recording of streak winnings. It will take more tough work for Les Parisiens to become a top club that prioritized winning the UEFA Champions League title, let's see what Luis Enrique have to offer this season.

Leipzig of this current champions league are not the Leipzig I used to know from the previous champions leagues, they are not performing very  well this time around and they are making it obvious  even in Bundesliga  they  have a lot of draws even though they have some wins , the draws were not what I was expecting from them...
At the same time looking their unsatisfactory performance,  I can still some effort  channelled into UCL than Bundesliga , they lost to zero in Bundesliga  but in UCL there are some  goals attached to their winning and so far they being  playing big clubs though I didn't expect Juventus to have it so easy  despite their effort for that game. They don't make it that far actually in UCL but they always give tough time to clubs guess that's not gonna happen this time around
Just maybe they aren't in their best form just yet and probably before the end of the season they will be in their best form to be able to get better but the challenge is they are playing in the champions league that is very competitive with their very little experience and not them been so experienced enough to be bale to handle the champions league to the point of becoming top contenders, it will be better they focus more on their domestic league as they will be able to do even more that way than they would have done and just get experience from the UCL.

Brest played against Graz and Salzburg, and they had an excellent draw in matches but they will still face Bayer next and Real in the last round with Barcelona and PSV on top of that, It is highly probable they will not finish even in the top 10 with their schedule! Anyhow, there have been only two matches out of 8 and some teams that are at the top are facing a nightmare schedule from now on while others like Bayern will have the last three games at Feyenoord, Shakhtar, and Bratislava and could easily win at least 7 points here.

This season we may see a lot of surprises from some clubs that are new to the champions league because teams like Brest, Aston Villa, Bayern Leverkusen and Benfica have all won their first two matches in the champions league.
