So do everyone, they have lost hope in Germany due to how they faired in their last two major tournaments. In fact since the Germans Triumph in the 2014 World Cup In Brazil they have been below average, exiting the subsequent tournaments at a very early stage. My prediction of them making it very far this time around is not just base on the fact they are the hosts but because I see a transition been done completely. After the World Cup triumph they had many stars from that squad that were retired, this were a group of people who had been together for over 20 years fighting for their nation. With them leaving there need to be void to get filled. Most of the young stars coming into the team where amateurs that needed more time to blend into the game and with the likes of Joachim Low also leaving it meant the nation team had to be rebuild. The last World Cup at Qatar they had a few players already settling in with others. With the new manager Neglesmann who had managed some of this player in the club football I feel he can easily assemble a team with cohesion faster than previous managers and his pre competition performance shows he is on track.

The good old days of football have passed and a new generation of players popped up without much experienced making the performance of European teams falling badly. Germany was one of these teams that got a bad hit. There is Italy also that has a similar situation. Other teams were impacted by that but the top teams drop were easily seen in top teams.

I have totally lost faith in this German team for some time now and I don't know what to say anytime I see them play for some time now I have totally skipped out even adding them to my prediction but just that the team itself is filled with talent but to some extent the players the manager to ignite that old flare within these boys haven't just been found for me personally I don't expect much from them other than the round of 16 in this euro because they are a lot of teams that are way advance and improve in terms of game play than this German side.

I just can't trust them as much as England for example. The reason why is, you know Germany haven't been the same old team for many years. You would remember those legendary times of them. Nobody was able to stop them those days.    But for quite a long time, they have been performing way worse. This is making me have second thoughts about them.

Now they have Nagelsmann to manage. He is quite a young manager and I wonder what kind of an impact he will make. Germany have promising young talents but we will see how far they will help Germany in Euro 2024.

However, my prediction is that Portugal and Türkiye will qualify. Even if they fail, Türkiye still has a chance in the next qualifying round. There are 4 teams taken from the top 3 qualifying rounds that can take part in the next qualifying stage. But that sounds ominous. My estimate is that in group F, Portugal is in first place, Turkey is in second place, and Georgia is in third place.

Currently, Portugal is starting to combine young and experienced players in their squad, so that indeed the combination can complement each other and also be a long-term prospect for Portugal later, Euro 2024 of course may be the last euro for experienced players such as Ronaldo, Pepe and also Patricio so it will indeed be very motivating for them to be able to give their best performance to Portugal for the last time,  the bringing in several experienced players is of course the right step taken by Martinez at this time, maybe indeed they will not be able to contribute as much as before but with their experience and maturity in leading, of course, it can give a lot of influence to make young players play well.

I think Martinez has done a great job in Portugal and of course we can't take Portugal out of one of the strong candidates to win the euro this season, with a combination of young and experienced players of course we will see the Portugal team will have a balanced strength between speed, technique and experience.

I do not think that he would have any impact at all, not saying that he would have zero impact, but he would not really be one that would win anything there at all, it doesn't make sense for him to get a win like that. The best we could hope for would be getting out of the group stages for Portugal, and if they can do that then they are going to be fine.

I personally believe that France and England are still by far the biggest contenders, other teams are nice and all but these two are great and they have players that can beat anyone. Of course it depends on how the players play, because sometimes they play worse than they possibly could, and when you do not give your %100, you end up losing to a worse team, if that happens then it's anyone's game.

I don't even think England will be more aggressive than they have been for the past competitions they have played since the reign of Southgate. That man just fade when it comes to the bigger stage. It's simple, Southgate lacks the tactics and how to potentially use his squad to his advantage. England are not lacking players in all departments yet they can't boast of any trophy in modern time. If a team is not playing well the coach is to be blamed and since England has decided to remain with Southgate who has nothing when it comes to tactics, they will continue to wait for their first trophy after how many years of waiting. If England fail to win a trophy with this generation of their squad then it will be very hard for them to win trophy again. For me France, Germany, Spain and Portugal are teams that appears more ready for the tournament and are going to challenge for the title. Yes England will try but the moment they meet France or any of the teams mentioned above they will crash out of the competition. I don't have hope in England squad and that's just it. The highest England will get to is the semi finals and nothing more than that.

Unfortunately, I have more bad news about the Turkish National Team. After Enes Ünal, central defender Çağlar Söyüncü was also injured. Central defender Ozan Kabak sustained an injury during the friendly match against Italy yesterday. As a result, both Çağlar Söyüncü and Ozan Kabak have been removed from the Turkish National squad for EURO 2024. It seems possible that the Turkish National Team will have a defender problem in the tournament.

England are just overrated as long as they are managed by a manager like Southgate. You can think the opposite too of course, it is your freedom. But think about this at the same time, being in charge for nearly 8 years but still 0 trophy.    Yeah they reached the finale in Euro 2020. But did they lift the trophy, no. Southgate just falls by the wayside I'm afraid.

This is why I have started seeing France and Germany more likely to make it in this competition.    Even Portugal might be given a chance as they also look quite strong with Ronaldo. 8.80 odds are worth trying truthfully.

Portugal still need Ronaldo at their striker position but their younger players can fit well into their system even they are not star players. It's weakness of Portugal squad but in modern football, a smart coach will not build up a system with tactics to rely on a single player at any position. A good system will be flexible and can cover weakness of other players in the system and can easily replace one player by another one.

Counting goals scored by Ronaldo in Saudi Professional League and overestimate his performances and importance in their system operation will be risky. They need him but must keep their assessment on his ability neutrally, not overestimated.

Portugal team is a strong side with or without Ronaldo. Portugal has to understand that for them to go far in this tournament they have to completely build their team outside Ronaldo, if they're still trying to make Ronaldo relevant that's going to be their downfall. They shouldn't be carried away by the cheap goals he scored in Saudi that wasn't able to win them a single trophy. They have to understand that Ronaldo is not the player he used to be in time past, Ronaldo has to give way for younger generation to show their talent and help the team. Ronaldo is always seeking attention and will want to be at the center stage and this is going to be the downfall of Portugal in this tournament. The qualifier stage is going to be a different thing from the main tournament. They are going to face a more determined teams that mean business. For sure Portugal is going to qualify from the group stages they are likely going to be the group winner that's because Portugal is blessed with great talents that can win the tournament without Ronaldo, but their only downfall is going to be Ronaldo if they want to make him special just to prove that he is still a top player. The coach should know when to bring him on and when to take him out of the pitch. Ronaldo should not be allowed to be playing the full 90 minutes in all of their games, if that's done Portugal will crash out early in the tournament. Ronaldo time competing at the top level is over that's just the sad reality.

Yes, England is one the best team that have complete set of players that have various experience in almost all the top teams in the world, they have good midfielders and attackers, but they might probably have problem in their defense because their defenders are not among the best defenders in the European competitions and some of them are prompt to errors; only Kyle walker, Arnold are good, but their two central backs are not good enough to be completely relied on.

Southgate need to be very active and need to think tactically in order to unite the team to get the best result for the team because it will be very difficult to make selection especially in the attacking zone where he have Saka, Grilish, Foden and others that can perform very well.

Yes, Ronaldo is still in excellent shape and is showing a very good game, but Martinez will have to decide who will play, although I think that Ronaldo will definitely not be out of place for Portugal. About Italy vs Türkiye yesterday both teams have to playing draw and this indeed unsatisfactory result because on that match Italy has gets several good opportunities to scores but their players were failed to utilized those opportunities to scores goals and Luciano Spalletti has admitting that Italy was displayed poor performance on that match and he will be attempts to evaluate this result and before playing on group stages Italy still have 1 friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 9 and Spalletti hopes Italy can able to gets positive result from this match because if they win it can boosted Italy mentally players

Yeah, I agree that we underestimate Italy a little bit, but I don't agree with Portugal. Italy play with more experience but I don't just see them winning the competition this time around. They do well against relatively weaker teams, but when they play a decent team, they struggle. We saw how they played against Spain and England most recently. They are a good team but not as good as the top 4 I mentioned.

As for Portugal, they're a team that's performing way below the level they should be performing. They have a very talented and experienced team but somehow they still don't work. I don't know if it's individualism or something else.
The time when Ronaldo could lead a team is past. He was great, but not that great right now. Don't get me wrong, he's still good and can motivate a team, but his main strength now is scoring goals (which is great), but what if the team faces an opposition that doesn't allow his teammates to give the ball to him, what happens then? We saw this is the World Cup and since then not much has improved.
Personally, I don't believe we underestimate Portugal. They're rated fairly.

I remember reading somewhere that some of their fans make many satirical posts or chants, including the famous 'it's coming home' to express their dissatisfaction towards the manager. Basically, they don't really believe they will win anything, but they like to mock themselves for that. The media don't help with their misleading title either. Even media outside of England sometimes write a quite optimistic view about their chance, like this one[1]. That being said, I agree that winning the competition should be one of their targets regardless of the result. They have a lot of good players, although the manager can be a bit questionable. CMIIW.

England are a strong team but they are not the strongest that is an opposite fact than what current odds show. England national team always receive high expectation from their fans and noise from media in that country put lot of pressure on English players and their coach. It's not good as support or preparation before a big tournament but media, newspapers in that country has tradition of writing news like this. They want to get traffics that is all and they don't actually care about success of their national team.

At this old age, Cristiano Ronaldo can score goals for his team but he needs to be put into a proper system to maximize his attacking and finishing skills. He is not able to contribute too much for defense activity and the whole system must work to cover his lack of defense contribution. It will be extra task and pressure on midfielders and defenders in his national team.

With a new coach, Ronaldo gets good support and is one of main choices for the coach's favorite eleven chose players. With this Euro as one of his last or the last big tournament, he will try to fire as best as he can.
