Yes, you could say that England is a strong candidate to win this edition of the Euros. The Three Lions have a pretty good squad and they are also in their golden age. Southgate must be able to unite England's star players so they can go as far as in 2020 and even win the championship. I don't see any other participating team that has a fairly even squad so there is no reason for Southgate to fail again and this time it will be a gamble for his position.

The players that England currently has can be said to be extraordinary, and almost perfect for winning the Euro trophy this time. The reason is, the players from England are currently filled with great players such as Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, Hary Kane, and many more. However, it is true, even though England always comes with very good players at the Euros, unfortunately England always fails to become champions. Because, as far as I know, as long as this Euro competition has been held, England has never once won a trophy. Even at the previous Euro (2020), England was able to reach the final with its great players. But unfortunately England's steps to lift the Euro trophy had to be thwarted by Italy via a penalty shootout. So at this Euro maybe England will play very well again considering the players England currently has are better than at the previous Euro. And I personally have a prediction that England will at least reach the semifinals at the Euros this time.

Cristiano Ronaldo still become important players for Portugal national teams and his contribution on UEFA Euro Qualifier became top scorer teams, I think in Euro 2024 he will get regular position after always in starting eleven on Euro qualifier matches. Consistency performed of Cristiano Ronaldo not only with his national teams but also success becoming top scorer with his club Al Nassr by scoring 35 goals in one season although failure for winning any domestic league yet.

Portugal is in Group F with Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic, this should not be a difficult opponent for Portugal to qualify as group F winners and the potential opponents they face in the knock out round are also a little easier. Euro 2024 first match will open by the host teams Germany vs Scotland one week later, its not easy for the first match and Germany still not has top perform recently after getting draw last friendly match against Ukraine.

These odds show that England is over estimated again before Euro 2024 as same as many previous big tournaments from World Cup to Euro. They are a strong team and are a runner up in last Euro in 2021 but they are not stronger than France and I consider England are nearly similar in quality as Germany.

England national team still have some weakness and their squad in this Euro are even weaker than in the last Euro. I don't underestimate them but Southgate has many problems to fix before the Euro. In player resource, they will have bigger troubles than the last Euro in 2021 because of player injuries, bad forms and I can say bad choices from Southgate too

Apart from Cristiano Ronaldo, there are other good players in the Portugal team that can really perform very well. The players are all playing at the high level and in the competition they have a really good chance to win it just as England, Spain, France, Germany and other big teams that have been mentioned. Ronaldo may remain the most influential player for Portugal but apart from the statistics he is currently not the best player they have. If I'm asked to pick the best player from Portugal team at the moment, I would choose Bruno Fernandes.

Among all this three countries here I don’t think why you actually rate Germany lower, but I get it’s a thing of predictions and everyone has its choices. England is always a favourite to any tournament every time they participate in, but they always ends up disappointing. The France squad yeah has the quality and the experience too to take it home. The introduction of Kante back into the team is actually a very good move by Deschamp, he is one of the reasons why I think France will go far, the experience of the coach is vital to the tournament and Deschamp has it. As for Germany, I think they are better in my opinion than even England because of their quality.


We underestimate both Italy and Portugal far too much to me, if I am to pick I will say both of this Nations are better than Spain at the moment. Italy is underestimated because of lack of stars but they have been like that most of the time even when they won it last time but their motivation always drives them afar. Portugal has Ronaldo so I don’t need to say much on why they are favourites to me

Good teams shouldn't count on one player to reach the finals, instead they should make many strategies to overcome his absences. This is kind of general information but when we talk about Cristiano Ronaldo presence then definitely he has a good effect on the team, physically and psychologically, but even without him, Portugal remains a hard opponent.
The group F isn't that hard for Turkiye. Apart from Portugal, Czechia and Georgia are weaker and Turkiye could end second or third in the worst scenario with a lot of goals to get a chance to pass to the next round.

The teams to look out for are England, France, Germany, and Spain.
It's these 4 teams that are the favourites for me before you talk about teams like the Netherlands, Italy, Croatia,  Belgium, and Portugal. Portugal should be rated higher but their performances against tough opponents are not encouraging. They have the squad, but I just don't see them as a winning team, they have a higher chance of winner than the Netherlands, Croatia and Belgium.

Spain is the least among the top 4 I mentioned. They have an inexperienced squad even tho they're good and they lack killer instinct. They also lack a world-class scorer up front.
France and Germany are the top two among them. These are balanced teams that have so much experience and are very technical with so many qualities. England should be on their level but I don't know if I'll call it inconsistency, they just seem to fumble when it matters the most.

Exactly, I don't buy into this hype and bs of England- England when we even have important cliba to look out for. France I'm not so sure, how about them creativity? That would be lacking they just have Griezmann maybe the presence of Paul Pogba wouldn't have been bad too. They have midfielder's with them but what about the creativity?

I'd even say Germany. They're my favorites for this Competition.  Even though I will not underestimate a club that has Cristiano Ronaldo. He should be very motivated after several occasions of lose this season with Al Nassr.

Germany looks cool, England has got Gareth Southgate, who I don't consider a top quality coach, and biased with his decisons. Spain has a good squad but they don't have no point man to score in these goals.

We were shaken by the bad news of Enes Ünal's injury.    He has been removed from Turkey national squad in Euro 2024. We were already having forward problems as I said before and now our options are narrower. Portugal has also announced their official squad for Euro 2024. Ronaldo is going to be playing as most people expected. This is bad news for us when we think we are in the same group and Ronaldo's qualifiers effort was great.

The England national team actually has very strong players in their squad. But competition in the Euros is much tougher than in competitions between clubs, so a squad that is considered strong cannot always be the favorite. Because other national teams also have players who are just as great.

Luke Shaw shouldn't have been called up. He didn't play nothing to earn it. Newcastle defender and left back Hall would've even been in a good position.

Jordan Pickford is another who cannot play with his both legs which is another part of football that has evolved. Goalkeepers now have to make good use of them legs and also be good servers of the ball which Jordan Pickford lackes, what is the difference between him and Aaron Ramsdale? Lol!!

Sancho, Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford shouldn't have made the call up if I was head coach lol. At most Marcus Rashford. Gareth Southgate better wins otherwise he'll be sacked. No excuses for him this time around.

Southgate's selection of players for the England national team has always been controversial, but England is a team that has many players in all leagues, maybe Southgate is a little confused about which one to choose.

I just want to see in the final England vs Francis meet this is the most interesting for players throughout the field so we can speculate these two teams might finish.

But make no mistake sometimes there are surprises where even Germany is difficult to beat or the Netherlands.

I would expect France to be favoured the most normally so I'm surprised. Maybe reaching Euro 2020 final also has some effect on those odds for England.    But France are a much more disciplined team you know. Player quality is also amazing, starting with Mbappe. But France haven't been able to win a trophy here since Euro 2000. Maybe this is a chance to end this.

It looks like Germany are benefiting from being the hosts.    They have skilled players but for the trophy? I'm not trusting them as much as England - France duo.

I also think England can surprise in this tournament. They have a good squad and they want to break years of bad luck. Although the betting odds show England as the favorite of the tournament, but that's another matter. France, Germany and Spain are the other natural favorites. I don't think there will be a different champion in this tournament. Again, one of the biggest football countries will be the champion. It would be really nice if it is England. Maybe the curse of Kane will end.

For this season Rashford's performance is not that special so it is quite natural that Southgate is looking for other options for players who are in the same position and choosing Grealish, Foden and Gordon who have the same position as Rashford at this time is a pretty good decision made by Southgate.

Foden has been absolutely outstanding this season and he deserves to be in his current position in the England national team. In addition, the English squad is indeed very complex and the players are quite evenly distributed, it's just that I'm quite hesitant about some of Southgate's decisions which sometimes hurt a little. England have a strong squad but so do others. The team that stands out for me is France, they are my favourites to win the tournament. They have world class players all over the pitch.

Germany, England and Spain are strong but I just feel like it’ll be France celebrating on 14th July.

So we are all on this tournament right now, which is very good to see, finally after a long wait a serious national teams tournament, the last one was the World cup on Qatar, in the far behind 2022.

I dont know how is the biggest contender, because all the national teams have weak points right now.

England seems very strong but you know... ENgland always ended up being not so good or losing it in the middle of the river.
