Our remaining matches are against Lyon and Midtjylland. Lyon are really tough but I hope we can defeat them home. For the other match we should be able to win no matter what.

Fenerbahce only does well when it involves facing Galatasaray. There are plenty of mid teams they faced in this league phase like Twente and Manchester United. Those games would've been easy games to pick up maximum points but they couldn't.

Lyon is going to be a tough nut to crack but Midtjylland? I don't think so, not so much.  4 points from both games or a max of 6 will put Fenerbahce in a much better position.
Fenerbahce might not be able to get a win or a draw against Lyon in this tournament. I think they won't be able to get a win against them, they should rather but their focus on their game against Midtjylland, where they have nuch better chance of getting 3 points and thereby not making mistakes as before in other matches that left them sitting 21st at the table.

They will need to give their all for them to stand a chance of winning Lyon but all this to me don't really matter since I can't see them among the Europa League title favourites based on their performance, they should rather channel their focus more on any other domestic tournament they are in because I still see this squad needing more reinforcement before they can compete well in Europe.

I thought this is an interesting post because you are pointing out Mourinho as a great coach, but is he still? I am not convinced very much. Sometimes I miss the old Mourinho who was an intelligent coach, sometimes with tactics I didn't like, but which worked. Do you remember the times when he made Real Madrid or more defensive rather than an offensive team? I think that is the time when his success declined dramatically. He shouldn't have done that. He could do it with Inter Milan during his best times because Italian teams are somehow different, but he wanted to apply the same things to a Spanish masterclass in offensive football.

These days I don't know what to think of him, but he is not the special one anymore. Do you think the same or do you think he is still a great manager?

Every manager has their own ways to reach success. There are so many people who don't like Mourinho's game plan of course. Because they think that it is old for modern football. I must admit that sometimes I also criticized his choices. But I can't just overlook his great history with teams in various big tournaments. Smiley This is why I don't want to lose my faith in him. Besides Fenerbahçe fans are mostly criticizing the president rather than Mourinho recently because of not winning trophies for many years.

Not sure what you're talking about. Of course Mou's not the same now, but he's still capable of pretty good shit for semi-competitive teams. Old Mourinho was proven with strong, deep teams. Not so-long-ago Mourinho won with Roma and made them feel again (in contrast you should see where there are now and how their fans are feeling, how their players are broken). Won them Conference league, brought them to the Europa final the next season. Remember, they waited 60+ years for a European trophy. That's pretty special to me. Ask any Roma fan now, I almost guarantee they will say they miss him.

Mou does this with all clubs. He changes the culture, he drags the team up by their necks, he makes them believe the whole world is against them. He filled up Roma's stadium to capacity after years of empty seats. But after a while, that siege mentality becomes toxic. And the players wither. You get Mou for a trophy, two trophies. Then you say thank you and f off.

That's pretty f special, no?

P.S. I'm not in love with the guy, but I can't deny he's a very particular type of guy with a mentality and (eventually toxic) loyalty so many managers lack.

Destiny still in their hands, don't worry. I've always thought I prefer my team to fight it out tooth and nail in group stage, otherwise an easy coast seems to affect their judgment in the KOs. League phase is different, of course, and it seems a lot more worthwhile (prize money wise) to finish higher up on the table but I think Mou will enjoy this more.

I think a draw against Lyon would still put a playoff in your own hands -- good luck... in a month from now!

Thank you for your good wishes mate. Smiley We really love to make things more difficult for us. But we still have a great manager like Mourinho of course. He is the Special One for a reason and he has really good successes in European cups in history. I hope he can make it with us as well. But we really need to improve our defense. Otherwise even if we qualify for the playoffs we can still get eliminated easily by a team that know what they are doing.

Fenerbahçe are in a really dangerous position after finishing 6 matches in league phase. Sad They are in the 21st place with 8 points. There is like a 1 or 2-point gap with the closest teams trying to qualify for playoff stage. We played really horrible against Athletic Bilbao in the last match. We couldn't answer them with a good performance.

It wasn't actually an easy match at all for Manchester United. But they improved their performance in the second half. Hojlund was really a game changer with 2 goals after being subbed in. Smiley Amorim really likes this 3-defender formation. It must be a relief for Amorim after losing 2 matches in a row in the Premier League. But when it comes to the Manchester derby at Etihad their job will still be difficult even though Guardiola is having tough days.

This Amorim system continues to actually expose most of Manchester United players and how there overall performance isn’t something worthy of been called a Manchester United player. Amorim seems to been bent on using his preferred tactics he used at Sporting Lisbon and I would say it is better to stick to something you know or are familiar with, Ten Hag said he can’t play his pattern with this players which was right but also in the end the preferred tactics didn’t work and he got kicked out. Wouldn’t it have been if it was his old tactics that actually get his out of the job. Right now I will only give credit to  Amorim, he is continue to produce result with this kind f players, Manchester United are now one of the seven teams to actually book a place in at least playoff places after they started badly, two more games to get automatic promotion to the round of 16

The boys play tonight again,  and with a new manager at the wheel,  will the Amorim formula work and get the boys registering another win or manager will be experimenting with his team to find the formula that works for him Roll Eyes

And with the Manchester derby on mind, it will be interesting to see how he will manage his players to avoid tied legs on game day...

It wasn't easy game for MU, but most important that they got win, that's matters most now.
In general, not many interesting results yesterday. Probably biggest upset is Anderlecht away win against Slavia. Surprised to see such huge 5;0 PAOK win vs Ferencvaros. But it was crucial for them to stay alive.
Ajax got painful loss at home against Lazio. And maybe they didn't played that bad, but in the end, their recent results looks so poor.
The Manchester United team is still finding hard to get their rhythm especially in their defense and Onana the goalie is often too unreliable, making many incredible saves and also letting an easy ball pass him or sometimes making opportunity for the opponent to score like we saw in that game.

Ajax met Lazio in the wrong time, don't forget they just got a back to back wins against Napoli before this game and has also been among the teams having excellent record in this season Europa league, leading the table with goal difference.

By the way Manchester United have made a comeback and now they have a 3-2 lead. But the remaining part of the match might still be painful for them considering the performances so far. To be honest I wasn't expecting them to be in such trouble against Bodo/Glimt despite knowing Amorim has just come. Hojlund is really shining today. Smiley Amorim is trying to make his system work at Manchester United as well for now. This may take some time.

Especially Galatasaray have been one of the best starters to league phase. It is good to see my team Fenerbahçe's making progress at the same time.

Sorry about your loss, friend. I had faith not so much in Mourinho but in the home crowd. All Mou could do was complain about missing leftbacks, but I still think they should have won this.

Ruined one of my freebets... but that's how it goes. He's going to have to do this the hard way from now on. But I bet you he loves it. I wonder if the fans like him for that?

Performance of Turkish clubs had such big contrast yesterday. Besiktas being favorites suffered big loss against Maccabi 1:4. I guess that fact that games had to be played in neutral location without spectators played big role.
While Fenerbahche got important away win against Slavia. Made some money betting on BTTS and over 2.5 goals, odds were quite high Smiley

That was a big disappointment to be honest. But Beşiktaş have had really difficult days recently because of a president change and so on. The players have been out of morale for a while. But when it comes to the general performance of the Turkish teams in the Europa League so far I can say it isn't bad at all. Smiley

Seems like Pep's not going to be the only manager in Manchester having trouble with sleep this weekend... Garnacho got another early lead, only for United to be United in defence. Even De Ligt looks like a scared schoolboy in this setup.

All hail Bodoe/Glimt, hitting it up at Old Trafford! I mean heh, they'll probably end up losing but if United need to rely on Hojlund and Garnacho to make up for mistakes, it ain't going to look good.

I really admired the betslip as well. I can't imagine how I would feel if I lose like that. Sad

Anyway if we come back to the Europa League I should also appreciate the work Galatasaray have been doing so far. They are the most successful Turkish team in the tournament at the moment. They have a big potential and Osimhen effect is also really big. On the other hand Fenerbahçe are suffering recently. That kind of a loss against AZ can't be acceptable. I hope we manage to qualify for the playoffs at least.

Let me tell you how you will feel, like shit lol

I never came close like that in a big way, the 'closest' maybe ever happened was in roulette I went all in on a number, then changed my mind and took the chips away at the last second, and the number hit.

Its only 36x tho on a small yolo balance so it's not really as shitty as missing 1000x because a stupid team you trust shat on you.

Very happy for Osimhen too personally, they did bad to him in Napoli.
