Recently, I have chatted with a support from an exchange, and he could easily take my KYC photos. I was shocked. An employee can take the personal data of users. Who knows what they will do with our private data, for other personal purposes.
I'm really worried, and probably won't use any platform that requires KYC.

I find video calls for KYC uncomfortable for users, at least for me. In my opinion, a selfie and a photo of certain documents are enough for KYC. It is easier for users.
I agree with your opinion. I think a slie, photo and NID are sufficient for KYC. Video call for KYC is not sutiable for us. It will take more time for users. 
Your opinion about using video call for KYC won't be feasible because it requires a lot of man power. Imagine the team doing the KYC calling about 1000 persons for instance, don't you think it will be extremely hectic? Unless maybe automated robots will carry out that function which will still have lapses. I know of video verification but it's not video call. Like the one done by Blockchain.com for XLM airdrop KYC and also Binance KYC via app.
I don’t think that is a good idea.This is a very laborious event. There are investors, there are hunters, some projects have more than 5-10 thousand users in their chats. I came across such a video call on a small new exchange. There were a lot of requirements, starting with good video camera characteristics, lighting. I wasn't able to transmit the video image for identification, having spent a lot of my time on it.

Yes with video call, we can prevent the thief from using our data for their own. Compared to documents, it is way more safer and easier. I have seen so many people trying to sell their costumer's data in form of document, but until now. I never see one of them selling their costumer's video call.

Actually Video Calls for KYC are not necessary, because by sending photos of documents or identity cards with photos of yourself holding the ID card is enough. Really now KYC has really become a serious problem.

This is not all that bad but the process might take a lot of time and I don't think the idea would be adopted, even if it is scam projects will always look for a way around this. We just have to be careful
I don't think video KYC is likely or necessary. KYC can be automated, and I think video KYC would just require so much more manual intervention. Normal KYC should be sufficient. Just always be careful about handing over personal information.
Having videos as a form of KYC seems to be more convincing and than just submitting documents as proof of ownership. Some users are able to use the documents of orders but the little problem with video KYC is that it is time consuming and in case you are doing it with Westart platform it is worst and a real pain in the ass. Your original and legal documents can be rejected several times. But i don't think it's necessary for investors to go through the stress of performing video KYC, providing documents is enough.

I agree that the KYC archiving process is with video calls ... because it can be more convincing in the KYC acceptance process that we send ... but all files must be uploaded too ... but this video call is a supporting factor for faster processing. by admin ... because there are many projects that are currently asking for KYC ... it's very difficult for admins to accept ... so video calls will be better and faster ... we can use the Skype application. .

I think it will not work , compare kyc document vs video call , documents always win as they have solid proof your origin and other details, with video calling nothing will be concluded just that u exist somewhere. I think kyc should not be there for bounty as we are working for them and they are paying for it but in order to avoid spammers and multiple accounts bounty should be restricted to number of participants.

I dont think video call for KYC verification can work, especially since it involves many countries. the network in some countries is not good enough to enjoy the call and this may frustrate the managers, and dont you think that will cost a lot than sending a document.
I never thought about this bad side of the video call version of KYC. It is not acceptable to send the personal documents to the unknown team due to the identity steal risks. Bad internet connection can be solved and it is not priority in this subject. Jump to:
