KYC is not problem to me, but video call is big matter to me. I will never participate in any project, if video call for KYC is mandatory for hunters.
Until now i not see any project that force their participants to do KYC via video call, usually people who already hopeless because not accepted in KYC (usually in market) is who do any video call.

I'm not sure why KYC is even needed for some projects. It's not needed for bounties (if paid out in tokens) as without a market for said token, it holds no value. And no funds exchanged hands. So there can be no anti-laundering reason behind it.

Which makes me extra wary of bounties that require KYC, as why would they really need your personal information for any honest purpose?

ICOs and exchanges may require it, but video is going a little too far. And I doubt they'd do it anyway as it's more time consuming.

Video call for kyc verification?? Is it possible? Do you think it is the best way , rather than uploading your documents for kyc verification process? Most bounty campaigns and ICOs nowadays required a kyc.

If video call for Kyc verification is possible, what is the best and secure app to you use for video call

why its must ?
a standard procedure its already enough, i guess.
and i think that is a bad idea, not simple anymore.

on the basis of that it is indeed a good idea, but still we need an identity card that will be matched with the face in the video call, so in my opinion it will be more time consuming, more effort and the results will be the same, although more accurate

Some of the wallet of any site will now implementing video call as KYC to make sure the real account are using the account.
But I personally if they want KYC maybe not in video call but better for them to require only the selfie verification with Valid ID. But if they want video call still don't have choices or leave what site you use or ignore that.

Why would anyone accept video calls from strangers? It is still as bad as the current KYC method and I will never recommend it to anyone
It is careless to allow all manner of  strangers to view your face in the name of KYC

If we have KYC documents , that will be enough for identification. All the banks and institutions need documents and nothing else. Video call is also good but there will be limitations like poor video quality and other network problem which may lead to cancellation of KYC

Video call is way too much in my opinion. I undestand the need for a selfie with the document and the piece of paper with the current date. A lot of people are using other people's IDs to cheat the system. I just don't get what the video call is giving more than the selfie.
The number of scammers that can photoshop and edit a picture to mislead is very low. Scammers are dumb usually.

I agree that video call is just one step too far away for me. I probably would still do it if I really liked the service a lot, but I'm just extremely uncomfortable not knowing how they'll store the video or if they'll ever delete it. They can say they do but there's no way I'll ever know, will I?

Selfie, and all that, I get it. But because everyone can cheat now, then it's just impossible to be enough for platforms.

And scammers aren't dumb... that's the misconception.

I don't know if that way is something good to get identity from their costumers. and if that happend for real the team really have much free times for doing that. I think just upload your identity and pas photo is enough

I actually dislike rigorous vigorous KYC verification for crypto project participation, I do not understand the need actually, not as if the project will be much valuable than Bitcoin afterwards, have seen a lot of them that are worthless today, won't dare try anyone that asks for video verification, not worth it.

I don't know how it works, but we don't have time to call each person to verify; besides, the cost of calls between countries is quite large.
I believe that in the future AI technology will be able to do this

wow!! What a great idea this is! Really  i did not think about this way for kyc verification before one minute from now. But i can not think how it will be work for kyc? Its need more time and More workers for doing verify.  I don't  think they will choose this process. But if they can maintain this way then this process will be best for accurate  kyc. Because many fake ico collect kyc information from the customers and they sold or use to make another crime.  Thanks

Great idea? I think this is a bitcoiner nightmare, even if it really does mean the basis of crypto anonymity is gone, I don't agree with this. Then do you think if using videocall will stop fake ICO from collecting information from customers and selling it? I don't think so, because they will always find a way. Even in my opinion, doing KYC with selfies is hard because it is privacy for me, they try to trust us then do you trust them? maybe you trust them, then do you believe their system will always be safe from hackers?

I have never done KYC from Video calls. Because I usually only save to the platform that is available if I do the Kyc. Maybe this method is new or I only know this, it's unique if this is done every time we do kyc. Maybe I think this method will also speed up someone's identification whether it's true from data or fake.

I find video calls for KYC uncomfortable for users, at least for me. In my opinion, a selfie and a photo of certain documents are enough for KYC. It is easier for users.

It's very inconvenient honestly. I can take a picture of myself with papers and dates but doing a conference call or somethings is big no for me.
There's the KYC selfie that many exchanges follows which is okay and we don't need to go further than that because if even fraudsters succeed on passing them, their dirty works will always stink to the nose of the authority.

As long as it's clear, everything can.
In my opinion, what is very important in the KYC process is how the KYC process is safe without difficulty. If indeed Video Calls are easy, I agree. What about other personal data?

I know some projects need videos for KYC but most are just selfies with identity documents. Maybe it means to avoid scammers and I think as long as we don't do scams, I don't think we need to worry. But i think, KYC could be done with ID document and utility bill

There are certain verification that really require you to have a video call. Lost account is one reason for it. But the basic KYC should not require video calls. That is pure BS to me. In the first place, KYC should not even be implemented. That is basically against the idea of anonymity. In KYC, we are already submitting all our vital personal information to something we do not even necessarily trust. Most often, we are simply compelled.

I think that checking with a video call for investors and participants of the ICO bounty is not suitable. It is too cumbersome and requires a certain technique, appropriate applications and in general the desire to do this in front of unknown persons who may end up being veterans.
I think that if the ICO team decides to conduct a KYC check using a video call, it will not collect sufficient funds. If they want to risk their project, let them take the risk.

Video call for KYC verification is good but it takes time which most of the companies anmre lacking of. Submitting the required documents is the best for them to verify the client because they will just look for the submitted documents and review it.
