I think that automatic video KYC is impossible now because the quality of computer facial recognition is now at a weak technical level. Manual verification by people is also impossible because it will cost too much time and money.
Video call for KYC verification would be unrealistic because just imagine the amount of support staff that would be needed to handle all those Calls, imagine if 1000 people wants to do KYC and there are just about 10 people to verify them.

In my opinion, the video call for KYC verification could have been implemented as long as it had a positive impact on ICO's success. If there is another method that is good for KYC verification, it can also be done. Because I am sure, ICOs are intelligent people who have extraordinary abilities in the investment world and know how to cheat or not.
Before that, ICO had to be more reliable because if it was still like this where many ICOs were deceiving, no one would want to use this method.but if ICO has improved and many ICOs have been successful, people will be enthusiastic to do anything if it does not endanger them.
This is a big NO NO NO, it will cause a lot of time consuming and also the cryptocurrency has a unique interpretation for being unknown of each peer or point to point transaction ( from sender to receiver ). It is possible, but I don't think that it is a good way to verify one by one the investor and the participants and I am sure that it will need a lot of time to verify them. I think it is better to fill the KYC as usual because we don't need to wait for the video call from the team to verify us and we can only send the documents by uploading in their site. But still, it depends on the team and what they want to do to verify their member, and we can only follow their suggestion if we want to join their team.
