punching walls, shouting, taking a deep breath, drinking lots of water and then lying down listening to music, if anger hasn't muffled I prefer to leave and leave a situation that makes me angry

It is a difficult thing to endure anger when someone has really crossed our limits. Usually I try to stay calm while taking a deep breath then exhale slowly and think about what the consequences will be if I let out my anger.

The Buddha teaches people that when anger, we need to translate it to love but don't teach how can we do that.

To calm down my anger first I breathe deeply and think ahead of time of what is going to happening if I continue to be angry and then I ask myself if I am to regret this afterwards or not , if yes I shall calm down because I believe in a saying that if you decide at the highest point of your emotion later on you will regret it and I don't want that cause the feeling of regret is not pleasant.

to calm myself, i just close my eyes, taking deep breath and relax, if it doesn't work, shouting, and cussing all bad words that comes out of my mouth, i know it's bad but it helps

Well thats one thiing as a human being  struggles esp. If we are in the verge of madness and reasoning outburst..
It takes a lot of humility and  positive  thoughts to turn calm and make bad things turn around ...
Should keep the sanity mind going and open to what is true and who is right...  Pause, think and analyze what is right...to help madness subside somehow inll... Being matured and open to listen and understand..... Keep calm and resolve issuee in the right manner...

Anger makes one lose inner peace and mental calmness.
First thing I do is to work on stopping to think about things that can make the anger wax more.
I infuse my mind with words on conviction that (1)no one is perfect and anyone can be annoying (2) the anger is affecting me,not the person who makes me angry (3) overlook or act like nothing happens (4) quickly forgive and smile to the person.

It works for me.

For me, getting rid of anger, especially extreme anger is quite easy. I constantly tell myself to calm down and leave the scene. Now, leaving the scene does not abate my anger, rather, it prevents me from doing something I will regret to the source of my anger. After leaving the scene, I block my ear with my favorite anger track; its loud, cranky and I put it on repeat until I calm down totally. If you don't have an anger track, you should get one. It will get you out of many troubles.

Close your eyes and imagine the place you love in this world, maybe the beach with the beautiful scenery you remember since you were a teenager. You can use places you've never visited, forests, flowers, or mountains. Choose a quiet and peaceful place in order to normalize the rhythm of the breath.

One good way that works for me is silence. When you get angry, there is a flood of emotions and the filter you use normally disappears in such moments. So, what you need to do is express none of those emotions all together. This might be difficult especially for someone who is used to venting. But with time, you can master this. Another way is getting out of the place. Or basically removing yourself from the presence of the irritant. This will a long way in deterring you from taking the wrong action. So, basically, you've taken care of your actions and words which are always the regrettable part of our display of anger.

I like to splash out my anger at someone or something, ideally it's throwing dishes against the wall or yelling at someone very loudly. Then it becomes much easier for me
