There's nothing logical about acting out your anger.
It's just friggin chemicals going through your brain.
So step 1 - realize that acting out means you're a robot who cannot control himself (preprogrammed if you will). I don't consider myself a robot so I don't lash out when I'm angry
step 2 - do things that are proven to normalize those same chemicals. Mindfulness meditation is king.

To cope with anger will help rhythmic, deep, even breathing.  Learning this method is easy, but the effect will certainly amaze.  And I also take nootropicboost - this drug helped me a lot.

The thing that I did to calm my anger so that the people near me were not affected by going to a quiet place by myself accompanied by melodious music and thinking about the problems that I faced and gave the right solution.

You shouldn't keep your anger inside and provoke nervous breakdowns. I'd suggest a good method of letting off steam is to swear at the one who annoys you.

Go take a walk. I normally remove myself from the situation which is causing me the anger and return later once I've cooled down.

Take a notebook and a pen and find a quiet place. List (in as much detail as possible) everything you are grateful for in your life: what happened in the past or in the present, or what will happen in the future; it can be a relationship, friendship, opportunity or material acquisition.

Fill the whole page and use as many pages as you have things you are grateful for. Be sure to thank your heart and body.
