Since this coins have no value now it is expected to hodl them to see if later they can improve in the market,  because this is the only thing that can be done. It is the future that will determine what value a coin will possess,  it is only by hodling that we can see what these coins can show in the market. A coin with no value,  it won't make sense to sell out because their won't be any gain for selling,  it is better to just hodl it if the price will increase better in the market.

Mate what you said is try, the long run tells more about a coin, but if you must hodl an altcoin you must be very careful and selective, don't fall for mere market rush because how cheap or publicized such coin is, I don't like this altcoin idea, the only coin I can advise a don't be fully involved with is bitcoin because of the great potentials that is accompanied with it, though most altcoins tends to add in value with time but the possibility is slim, for me, altcoin are mainly for trading, not really good to hold because the number of year's you may decide to hold it may not end well in terms of its profit, that's why it is advisable for people to invest in bitcoin which us valued more than any coun that have ever existed.

For those of us that are into altcoin signature campaign and have accumulate some in your wallet, what do you do with it since some of them has low value at the moment if you check their current price?

Do you keep holding it hoping that the price will finally come up since it seems you can't actually trade it with it current value.

Will the altcoin become valueless after the campaign is over or could still gain value after some years.

Most of altcoins in my wallet already had no value at all the project already abandoned by the developer, right now I only leave them in my wallet without any hope the project will continue and there are some altcoins with no value from the start but the dev still update in the group until now I keep my patient and hope it will have some value one day. It's normal to see many new altcoins don't succeed in listing in the market and end up as a trash in our wallets.

It depends on the project you are promoting, not all campaign projects will survive, and not all will die.
some are still around today, although they won't always be the top ones.
Several projects that held campaigns that I know are still on the market, namely Harmony, Powerledger, Vulcanforged, and many more. I don't remember because it's been a long time. but it prove that a several project can survive, event improve time by time.
yes they can survive but majority of them falls short in trading volume after a while though and even if they retained trading volume they've fallen quite far from their all time high that it makes me doubtful whether they can truly grow as high as it was before.
frankly its good to follow trend and ignore older project only when the older project are fully committed and still keep presenting more and more thing to make their project valuable only then its worth the investment.
other than that maybe its better off to invest in new project.
even though realistically speaking, some of the project you mentioned have gained some good gains like vulcanforged that has gained 300% from its all time low.

I have a lot of altcoins that I have worked on in campaigns. I got good profit from many altcoins in the beginning and held many altcoins hoping for more profit and got no results in return. But the good altcoins are seen early on so if you can hold on to those coins then you will have better success later on. Currently most altcoins are best sold immediately after not having good success. An altcoin that doesn't list on a good exchange to begin with won't do well later.

Knowing that the altcoin we are holding has a very low value and is even less valuable, of course the losses will continue if there is no increase or perhaps the project is abandoned. but if you hold a potentially good altcoin like BNB, ETH could still be a hope of rising again. even if the bullish comes an altcoin that is abandoned or does not have any development does not guarantee that it will rise.

i was participated in many altcoins signature and still now i'm promoting a project which will pay in altcoins. and i will never hold if i received coins after campaign finished.
because no guarantee these will survive long time on the market, most of the time these will be dead if will not listed good exchange.

In some cases there are some altcoins that may have good life span even after ending it's project on the forum here so most times taking a closer look and making a little research on the coin can be a good way of observing if the coin will be listed in a good exchange or not and once you get lucky and the coin is listed, it's going to be a lucky day for you because there are some altcoins that will increase in value once the project has been completed it has happened several times and people also benefited.

Nothing one can do about the being low value, but have to be patient and have faith one day the coin will be retract back as long the alt-coins has future and was not dumped suddenly, it was low because of bear market and only way to get value back is to have patience.
That is last option is just to hodl those low value altcoins who knows probably someday when crypto market experience a turn around into a bullish market definitely some of those coins would also gain some values therefore the patience and perseverance for hodl even when the price was low yet refuse to dump them that patience would pay off, I also have few of those coins in my wallet and kept hope alive I won't make any mistake of selling at a very low price having considered all effort in their promotion.

That's all what one can do and that is to wait. But expect that with that wait that it can be into vain and still worth nothing in due time. Because not all altcoins will pump whenever the bull run comes. That's what many have learned on this market and despite the hope that we're putting on it, the market is still dependent on its own and the demand of it will come from the people that will buy those coins that have low value and if there's no movement at all, accept it.

Well ideally if there are signs of the market downward, you should be able to get out and sell before you get stuck where you can not do anything with it anymore because the price is too low
But let us say that you were not able to get out fast enough then there really is no other option but to hold and hope that the price rises again

If it rises again, congratulations but if not life goes on

I think we have to do an analysis of the coin so that we can find the opportunity for the coin to rise.  If we find that there is no chance at all that the coin will rise, it is better for us to sell it now rather than waiting for it to be worthless.  I found many coins that if they fall drastically after an ICO or presell, they will continue to fall slowly until they are worthless and disappear from the market.  The coins that survive are the ones that have the features people need, continue to innovate and have the support of a strong community.

Will the altcoin become valueless after the campaign is over or could still gain value after some years.

When a coin has become valueless, the chance for that coin to bounce back is very difficult and almost impossible.  Their developers have to go the extra mile to fix various problems and restore people's trust so they can rise again, of course with the new innovations that people need.

There is no really much you can do apart from holding and hoping that the price rises. It can really be a pain in the ass holding tokens that you don't know when they will rise. If the altcoins have made it to exchange probably a reputable CEX, then there could be hope of it rising someday but if they are in some funny exchanges where things like pump and dump happens, it could be possible the founders have already sold their token, leaving investors behind.  It will be rare to see any active investor in cryptocurrency that do not have few of those coins they are waiting to pump. The waiting is always long.

You need to be more precise and patient when dealing with assets that already have low value, we don't know how and when it will push to make some decent value and give you benefits.

Yes patient is one of the key to that but there is a question for that when the person is patient enough and the does not have value yet for years, what will you do? I have such case in my location. There is a cousin who bought a shitcoin since 2016 and till now there is no improvement in the coin, and he has waited for all these while but no way and there was a day he showed me the wallet and the coin is inside but it is valueless. So if you have such shitcoins in you end, what will you do? There are some shitcoins that you will have that you can't even sell them in anywhere. So not all the coins are buyable.

Let frame a statement that "all shitcoins are cryptocurrency buy some are more value than others".
This happened to me myself, I used to participate in social media, content and signature campaign bounty programs for altcoins. Indeed, at that time ICO was still good and gave a lot of results if the ICO was successful. However, there are quite a few altcoins that are worthless even now. You can check my eth address attached to my profile with etherscan or ethplorer. it will be clear how many rubbish coins there are that have no value at all.

My advice is that if you are playing a signature campaign for altcoins, while there is a market and there is value, just sell it whatever the price. never hold it for more than 3 months in my opinion.

You said since this coins has no value the best is to hold and I think that's what everyone will do with the mindset that it will gain value someday and without any value you should still hold, if this coin has the value to trade then what's stopping you from trading. Taking advantage of the market is just the right thing to do as an investor cause if you choose to hold and hold are you 100% sure that the coin will gain value or you just love holding it. If talking about the end of the campaign and the fall of the coin I have zero idea about that information but I don't think it's right and it will not happen.
Yes and that is how all the low quality and newly launched altcoins investors should do. The best way is to just keep in their wallets until the coin gain value then you can sell them off if their is a little increase in the coin because if you want to make big profit from those coins, it won't work. Because those coins might reduce again and when they reduce they might collapsed and everything you have invested would lost.

And if they increase to the amount you have set for yourself to reach before selling the coin to make good profit from the coin, it might take a longer time and that would cause another delay of waiting. So the best way to do with such project is to monitor the market and sell it whenever there is an increase in the market.

Sell when there's a profit or when you think that it's good enough to release your holdings, like how you see things from holding this kind of assets, chances that it will fall for more is high as  we can't really predict how the support will bring the value that we wanted to earn from thi kind of project,

though if we are lucky we might find that success as sometimes hypes comes and pump the project but not all and that's something that only luck can tell.

You need to be more precise and patient when dealing with assets that already have low value, we don't know how and when it will push to make some decent value and give you benefits.

maybe I will hold on to dear life until the time comes, I will consistently hold the coin until the coin rises almost close to the target, but it depends on the coin, what if there is no potential for it to rise, maybe I will cut loss, it all depends on you, you are making a very tough decision. However, you need to remember to do research first before taking any further action

Or are you just carried away by a hype and holding on to a worthless coin which will never amount to anything good on the long run, this are what make ls up for our mindsets when discussing this subject of altcoins holdings since the majority of them are just hypes and pumped, dumped coins that are now worthless and have no chances of recovering.

So first ask yourself which coineare you holdinyand what are the values of those coins, because it in holding the right coins, that you get the right gains on the long run, this is what many altcoins holders dont understand.

There is no need to hodle a token or a coin that has no value in the market but whereby the coin has a low value at the moment but it looks like it will have good value in the future then it is good to continue hodle the coin. Altcoins holdings is good but the fear is that  we have seen a lot of tokens and altcoins collapsed along the line and some of them have even stayed a long time in the industry but could not survive. So long staying and short staying in the altcoins market is nothing but a legit or a good trusted altcoins are worth investing for.

Observe well before investing in altcoins. "Not all that glitters is gold". Some are imitation and imitations never last in the market because it is not the original.
Agreed no need, but for some reasons, you may end up holding those coins in your wallet and there is nothing you can do about it, this has been the experience of every altcoin investor or airdrop hunters in the past, they got paid in those worthless coins who never made it to the exchange, or crashing immediately after their hit the exchange without any sign of recovery at any point in time.

Sometimes also we need to chose from which coin that we ready to hold at any point in time before we dive into them, because, the moment we already received them in the wallet, their is nothing we can do about than them becoming spams in our wallets.

Or unless the ops will be willing to pay the gas fees to send the coins back to the smart contract that send them in the first place.
