Since this coins have no value now it is expected to hodl them to see if later they can improve in the market,  because this is the only thing that can be done. It is the future that will determine what value a coin will possess,  it is only by hodling that we can see what these coins can show in the market. A coin with no value,  it won't make sense to sell out because their won't be any gain for selling,  it is better to just hodl it if the price will increase better in the market.

What is down fears no fall so if you're holding a coin and it dips very low, then the logical thing to do is to keep holding it until hopefully it starts to gradually pick up and pump, because even if you decide to sale at that point, the value of money that you'd have will be equally worthless. Unless you do your research and decide that there's no redemption for the altcoin, then it'll be wise to dispose it. Any project that is not a scam has the potential of pumping with time, if the project team brings some innovations to it then the investors are in for some long term profits.

If I were to say about altcoins, I would say that altcoins are coins that if there is a hold  a coin and the value is still very low and you know the project are rise in future  And it's going to develop in the future, so you should hold on to it and if you're looking at it, its team, its roadmap, its white paper, it's very good and it's very good in the future. If the market brings it, then you put it on hold, of course you will benefit a lot in the future, but if there is a project that he has stopped working on, then his team is not working on their project at all and it is a stopped project. You should sell it at its current price because it will be completely gone in the near future.

There are many coin we have to earn bounty and airdrop but still valueless if the project goes to death. So Don't believe fake promising project even if you have to received some of profits a unless project then sold out and leave there. Because this crypto market and risk also in here and you can't avoid it.
I believe that the one the OP is referring to is free enough so there shouldn't be any hurt feelings, I can just urge him to take his mind off it. If it rises, fine, but keeping your mind there might be an issue, and who knows, during the major bull run, it might rise and rise big at the same time. This is not the first time that coins/tokens will surprise people.

For them to have been sharing it for free and in thousands of it to the campaigners means that they are not so valuable yet and it might indeed not be valuable unless the project comes into prominence than it is now. I believe that forcing it into prominence is the reason for their campaigns here as well, so the OP needs to watch and pray for the project to be a hot cake with time. A stronger community is being built by the project and I know that over time, it can't be the same again, especially if the brain behind the project can be wise enough to also pump it like some do so that people will not see it alone but also be encouraged to commit their money into it since it will look progressive by then.

For those of us that are into altcoin signature campaign and have accumulate some in your wallet, what do you do with it since some of them has low value at the moment if you check their current price?

Do you keep holding it hoping that the price will finally come up since it seems you can't actually trade it with it current value.

Will the altcoin become valueless after the campaign is over or could still gain value after some years.
Will it help you in some ways if you sell them now? because if it is almost no value as how I see it because you will never ask here if there is a great value then why not keep them and pray to be somewhat someday it will have a great value?
this is how shitcoin moves mate, they will be dying or pumping depending on how the dev wanted this to be .
remember that you are even joining without big percent being paid by shit project like what you have joined in the past.

I'm holding onto them in the hope that the prices will rise in the future, especially if their current value isn't very attractive for trading. I also have around 100 different ERC-20 tokens sitting in my wallet like a museum. Many projects have long gone quiet, and I don't see any prospects there. I try not to do anything with tokens that have fallen and wait for better times.

Well I do not hodl so many altcoins that does not have alot of value. I think that is not worth it to waste your time. Those coins I do hodl I did get from free air drops.

Because I will not just buy a altcoin if I do not think it will make me profits. For some of them I can sell on the exchanges but there is a total amount you must sell sometimes.

Participating in campaigns does not guarantee that the rewarded cryptocurrency will have value after the campaign, unless the coin/token is already listed on an exchange before the campaign. This is still dependent on people choosing to invest in it. We've joined bounty campaigns where the token/coin has low or no value. I think there's nothing we can do but let them sit in our wallets. However, sometimes you check them, hoping for a miracle that they might suddenly gain value.

Rather than selling at low values it is good to hold taking the risk. This is what I've learnt from my past days of holding altcoins with low price. As most users mentioned the airdrop and other bounty tokens used to bounce and they used to drop down in value. Some used to have good backing team and the growth and development used to happen in a gradual manner. We need to be lucky enough to have such tokens and have the mind to hold and enjoy profit in the long run.

I cannot remember if someone became a millionaire by doing an airdrop or bounty. Recently some people have made huge sums of money from airdrop like arbitrum and optimism but bounty work is not that profitable. I have seen people earn a maximum of a few thousand dollars from doing an altcoin campaign which was in the last bull run. This season, there aren't too many good projects in the altcoin bounty section that can give you even a few hundred dollars. The new project is not that interested in bitcointalk forum any more.
I can't remember if there were any one wallet millionaires with any airdrop, but many people got them with several wallets, and several different airdrops to different wallets. So i am certain there are some airdrop hunters who got in just by doing one with several wallets. I mean if there wouldn't be insiders who knew the requirements on how to get maximum amount and didn't use hundreds of wallets for themselves i would be very surprised.

And even if you didn't have insider access, there has been so many of them and selling them at the right time would have been worth a lot. Just holding an bored ape would have got you a lot of airdrops, and some people were holding several.

Earlier bounties and airdrops were pretty all tokens were awarded after work was completed and listed on an exchange. Currently their value has decreased a lot. For online holding if the value of the coin is low then you will not get the profit from selling that coin so you have to wait until it is listed on the exchange. Even if the price goes up a bit you have to sell it because once the altcoin coins go down it takes a long time to rise.
Most of the early airdrops, altcoins are decreasing in value and many have been delisted from some of the renown exchanges both decentralized exchange and Centralized Exchanges while some are dead. The new projects that are coming to the cryptocurrency ecosystem are doing well more that the ancient altcoins. But all the altcoins that are still listed in the any of the exchanges is still valued and there is probability that it rise again.

If they tokens have been listed on exchanges, it is better to sell the bounty or airdrop tokens. Unless, the tokens are from big projects, it is better to not hold them for a long time. I have experienced it previously, it didn't work well. Most of the tokens got from bounties or airdrops, the prices will constantly drop after the bounties/airdrops ended. Instead of being confused about thinking about the future of the token, why don't you sell them and buy the top coins. I usually do it when I got tokens from airdrops or bounties several years ago. It is more effective to hold top coins and wait for the bullrun season. I want to remind you that weak tokens will be hard to get a good ending.

It depends on the project. A lot depends on what this altcoin project is about and whether it will develop further in the future.
But I think since an altcoin has no value as you say you won't get anything by selling it. So I think hold on.

low value, meaning it is already listed on an exchange and has a very low price. I sell it more often because most of the altcoin prices obtained from bounties or airdrops will decrease over time. However if the altcoin obtained has not been registered on the exchange, there is no other choice but to hold.
I think OP was talking about ElonCoin of which's signature campaign he's participating. he was asking about that.
I too agree with you that these bounty and airdrop tokens are not worth to be hold for long term. but if they are not listed in any exchanges then there is not any choice.
as soon as they get listed sell them and take your money out.
but there was some bounty and airdrop coins which gained a lot of value after exchange listing because those projects were really good. u can consider that factor too.

You can't just conclude that bounty and airdrop tokens are not worth to be hold for long term. There are some bounty or airdrops that has turn it's holders to millionaires. Although holding bounty and airdrop tokens may be risky. Only few do well in the market, that is why it's preferable to sell them out immediately they are being received.

Who said Eloncoin is not listed? Token is already listed but token receive from signature is low because the real payment givens through BTC. Holding Elon coins is worthy because we hear how many times that someone invested 10$ and convert into 100k$. Elon coin is still in early stage and we need some attraction of big whales then the price could also petofrm like other meme coins. The good thing is that it is already listed in many exchanges and top tier exchanges could be next target.

Generally I don't think that altcoin holding can bring some good profit and if the questions about altcoin which gives from the new token of new project is very less chances to see the face of profit. I think it will be much better to sell the coin after getting the payment if the coin is listed on any exchanger. So I wanna say don't waste your fund and time on those altcions.
It is very difficult to get profit from altcoin investment but there are some altcoin coins which have good profit potential after investment but I think altcoin investment is very risky. But if we can see some good projects and keep investing it can be good for us. Investment  Doing so requires a lot of patience because after some time of hiring money is lost then we have no option but to wait for a long time.

Altcoin investment are very risky and shouldn't be taking serious by investing huge amount of money , since altcoin are unpredictable it ideal to invest with just small amounts. One of the Challenge people do have with altcoin is to figure out if a project is good for investing,  that is why it is best not to just invest a huge amount of money that you are not sure if the the project will be profitable,  I see most altcoins project as try your luck which can end up well or not.

it truly depends on the project itself if its good it will definitely have value increase, but meme coin that are not having that significant amount of supporters i always doubt that they could make good value out of themselves.
if I were op i would just outright sell the coin, and switch over to a project that are fundamentally just better then i'd get the profit of investing afterward, no point holding onto a coin that even OP himself have no confidence about, sell it, do some retroactive or something then build your way up from there, remember at the bullish time many token are gonna be airdropping and be sure to follow some of them.
otherwise you'd be just wasting time just letting that token stay in your wallet.

Nothing is consider difficult, just follow the right process and everything will be easy. I can wait only when I'm sure of my predicted analysis and earning in profits already, I'll remain faithful and independent in the market, because that's the one way to stand strong and continue earning massively. The altcoin investment is profitable but we should not put all our trust on the projects, rather we should be more serious and scout another means of enabling ourselves to keep putting good work for profits. Low value altcoins store in my portfolio, a big stand to show off good running profits.
