For those of us that are into altcoin signature campaign and have accumulate some in your wallet, what do you do with it since some of them has low value at the moment if you check their current price?

Do you keep holding it hoping that the price will finally come up since it seems you can't actually trade it with it current value.

Will the altcoin become valueless after the campaign is over or could still gain value after some years.

Nothing to do if the token accumulated got low value since for sure we cannot trade that since the volume would surely if not zero it goes less since the dev already drained all the volume since usually what happen there is they scam those people believing their project.

I also don't hope for any future pump for such type of tokens since there's nothing to comeback for scam devs just ride up with past bull run that's why to avoid getting stress with that much better if you just forget about those token and make it as part of design on your wallet.

Although maybe there are other altcoin would pump but this is rare phenomenon on altcoin especially if they don't have huge volume left.

You own the pen
You cannot sell what doesn't have any value at the market or if you are satisfied with the market value you can sell it. Another option you have is to keep holding the coin till it's value comes up. If the project is a solid one the value will surely come over in the long run. You just have to be patient that's all that you can do.

Some of my altcoins that are less than $20 were left on the crypto wallet that I have been using for bounties back then and they are now nothing but worthless coins that have no value anymore because their developers haven't done anything to improve their sales or their roadmaps didn't work because it didn't keep up with the current trend and other reasons that include the sudden show up of NFT craze few years ago. That's why when I got my rewards from bounty back then, I quickly sold them out once they were available to sell on the crypto market and I didn't regret my decision because it was the right one.

I have heard of many people who made good fortunes by selling their bounty coins. But majority of these stories happened in the early days of the cryptocurrency evolution. These days, there are too many scam coins with no road map and credible team behind them. This is the reason many people decide to immediately sell these coins irrespective of the value because there's no hope for the future.
However, there are till a few credible projects but they are hard to find.

OP, let's include people who bought some shit and meme coins and are current about -80% in loses, what should they actually do? I am not a fan of altcoins but I was talked into buying Shiba which crashed on me and I am still holding.

The altcoins weren't bought as an investment so I don't bother holding, I sell them and use the money to buy other altcoins that I like and I will continue holding that altcoins until I get some profits. Before buying the new altcoins, I'll do my research to know if the projects is going to be a good investment before I buy them. If the altcoin I received from the signature is having no value or very small value when I sell I'll continue to hold it until it gets a good value for selling.

You can decide to hold the altcoins as not all altcoins that advertised through signature campaign become worthless, the ones I know becomes valueless are those that they advertise through bounty campaigns. Signature campaigns are better than bounty campaigns as they're paying with real money and their altcoin therefore they won't abandon the project or they would have just wasted money advertising through signature campaigns.

After participating in the altcoin campaign, unfortunately in many cases, the altcoins received from the signature campaign have not received any value and may not have any value in the future due to lack of development and demand. Although it is true that there are a large number of altcoins competing in the market, this does not mean that they will not increase in value in the future, may be very rare.  Some altcoins have unique features and use cases that set them apart from others. Some altcoins have strong development teams and partnerships that contribute to their long-term value. However, the decision to wait for future worthless tokens to potentially increase in value is up to you and what you think is best for your unique situation.

Many altcoins have no value from bounty campaign projects. they are only distributed to participants and are never listed on exchanges. especially if you look at the situation a few years ago. so many new projects ultimately fail. and that leaves those who have such altcoins in their wallets unable to do anything. selling it is worthless. but if there is still a project running and there are updates. then just save it and follow the updates. But don't expect too much to get results in the future.

As you can see I m working with Eloncoin and I have been paid by them. The first device I was using got lost my so I changed device and downloaded my apps back and the seed phrase I wrote down from Eloncoin wallet is not working again when I am inputting the seed. So I lost those my first set of coins from Eloncoin and the second wallet which I am using is a desktop wallet but I have not seen the coins in the balance. I tried to refresh it but it is not showing yet. So I have not really utilize the coin very well.

Normally I was planning to hodle them until the coin has value in the future but since I don't have access again. There is no hope.
wow!
And I had plans of changing the phone I logged my wallet into and get a new one, I don't know if this would also affect my previous holding.

Well, I will keep holding it and ensure that my seed phrase is intact but this case you just highlighted is something to be worried about because we can't tell what can happen to our gadget in the long run and if we can't recover out coin after we change out gadget or misplace it like your case, then it wouldn't be a good one to be really honest.

Currently, I still have one altcoin from the signature campaign payment, which when the price was distributed was quite good, but slowly it went down and down, so it has no value because if I sell it I will only spend money on network fees, so it is a lesson to only keep some and sell some so that the results of our work it's not in vain, there's no need to think about whether the price will go up high because that hasn't happened yet so there's also a chance it won't happen and it will just mean we don't get anything.

I think you should sell it immediately while it still has trading value, or if not at least wait for it till it is listed in any reputable exchanges then sell them immediately. Usually, these type of coins will eventually loses value especially when the team behind it doesn't have any major plans of innovation for the project. Though a few alts will prosper, but most of them are gonna lose value.
IMO, it's not really worth the risk holding those type of coin, I'd rather sell them at any price while they still has value then I'll use that money to buy alts that actually has a potential or buy more fractions of bitcoin.

Some coins which I got from airdrops etc used to have $2000 in value and they are worth $0.01 or something now. Completely worthless. I can't even dump them for pennies because they are not even listed on any reputable exchange anymore. They are listed on 1 exchange since they still have a price tag but that exchange is probably just a scam and when you deposit your coins there you'll probably make a donation and it is just not worth my time... I still keep their private keys in somewhere but I don't think I'll ever need them again. Some of them are not even that lucky. Not even a scam exchange lists them. These projects flat out died. Nobody is mining, no blocks are being produced etc... No point in holding them.

This is what I learned during the early days of my accumulation of alts.
You need to dispose it while it has still value in the market, otherwise, you will be holding worthless coins or tokens.
Because most have no reason to exist at all, once the team dumped their holdings, it will slowly decline its value.
And up until, no more trading activity is observed on this project. So yes, better discard it while it is actively traded in the market.

I believe you are talking about Bounty campaigns since signature campaigns pay only in Bitcoin, so it's the signature campaigns inside the bounty campaigns that pay in altcoin tokens and I believe it depends on the nature of the project and the availability of the token or coin in the market about what a participant should do with their assets. If you have some tokens and the project is a good one and you know it has great potential and can have growth in the future, you can hold your tokens.

However, if you think that it's just a normal project, and there is no surety if the project is going to grow in the future or not, you shouldn't hold the tokens and sell them immediately after they are received so that you don't have them lose value because if the project has no potential, the price of their token might lose value.

In truth, there isn't much you can do if your altcoins don't worth anything in your wallet. All you can do is to continue holding it until it can be traded for something of value. If you're lucky and you find someone willing to buy your coins (perhaps they forsee its price going up in future), you can sell to them but then again it's a risk because if the buyer ends up being right, you'd feel stupid for selling to them cheaply.

The first question you should asked yourself here is; are those altcoin listed in exchange or are they trading currently?
I think after that you can begin to asked about their holdings and what values it is in the market currently because i have involved myself in few of the altcoin campaign and some of it has listed and has no value while those that are not yet listed has no value and can't be spent out there if not listed in the market.

What most of the project owners does is that, they will hold participants payment till they list and after they list in the exchange they will introduce some thing like swapping their token to newer token and as a participants if you don't follow up the project and the deadline is met they won't accept to swap your token that is another way to burn out their total supply.

Then another thing is that they will allocate some percentage to bounty hunters and after which they will dump the price on bounty hunters making them to have less amount of their allocation meaning if bounty manager distribute the rewards they will ends up not having upto $3 to $10 in a campaign they promoted for about 10 weeks all these things triggers me to stop promoting and joining bounty's.

Snip
First of all, I will definitely research the coin project first, is the coin project promising or not? So if for example the project has good plans for the future, I will most likely keep the coins for a longer period of time. However, if, for example, after analysis a project does not have great potential and is not worth keeping for a long period of time, I will definitely immediately sell the coins while they still have a price. So basically it depends on the project running behind the coin.

Are you referring to the Elon Coin with your signature?

If in the current exchange there is no price value or you will get a little $$$ from this coin then it is better to keep it and leave it in the wallet because it is useless to sell if it is still very low, but if you still hold it there is still a possibility of rising although we never know it will rise or not in a few years.

If the campaign is complete then it gives an impact, if even though there is a campaign there is no impact at all then the only way this coin goes up is because of the hype.
I recognize this coin. I think this wasn't new, and before, it is already listed in some exchangers. So it already has a value but it was only small. I don't know its value right now, but I'm sure it was still small. So the best thing that we can do right now is to HODL it and hope it becomes a little valuable soon.

There is a reason on why a campaign can end. It can be that they already achieved their desired results, or it was the opposite. If there is a campaign and then there is no impact, that only means that the public sees the project as an ordinary one. They don't see any potential to it, but I salute those projects who still tries their best. I mean in a way that they still avail a campaign.

Doing signature work just to be paid in altcoin is not working wise decision, I might though accept if it's listed on an exchange with enough liquidity that will not be giving me issues later with slippage. I'm not sure if it's worth holding from my personal experience but we have people that he luck when they pump. Anytime they get paid, they hold it and do like they forget it since the tokens or coins have low marketcap and when they get small trend and recognized by one or two influencers, they sell as soon as they see profits.

You can't be lucky all the time, if you have 10 altcoins in your wallet, there is a chance that 2 will pump and the rest will remain idle for the rest of their lives and if the token is listed on decentralized exchanges like Pancake, uniswap and, quickdwap and then the team decide to remove the liquidity, it die off completely and you holding the coin will not be able to sell again because swapping is now discontinued. Even if it's been listed on Cex, they will delist it immediately to save their customers or block deposit. These are some of the challenges you nigh face holding altcoins from signature or even investing on them.

Its been a while since my last altcoin campaign and to be honest its profitable before during ICO versions. But right now the quality of signature in altcoins have been decreased and almost not profitable. Im saying this cause Ive seen some campaign ending up dead or display tokens on hunters wallet. But you may try to join some campaign that shows from time to time. The technique there is a proper due diligence, youll knew of the project is worth joining or not.

But honestly just leave it there on your wallet who knows it becomes suddenly alive after so many years.
