Yes, there is some room to 'grow' with Dope no pun intended!  Grin If you haven't already stop into our thread and give us a shout. We had a nice price bump today: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=467641.7280 .

Don't mind if I do. If I manage to get in early, then I might reach ROI in no time, for sure. This coin would be added towards my big list of PoS coins to hold and stake.

By the way, if you have some tips or advice that you would like to give me, to help me get started with Dopecoin, don't hesitate to send me a PM.  Wink

I think ethereum ETH is best choice for making investment into it,
because I have heard they will do PoS on this February 2017
although it is high risk but i think the price will not go much down
because they have large amount of marketcap.

It may be so. If ETH's PoS mechanism becomes successful, then I can expect it to increase in value over the days. Also, if sharding come along too, then it will greatly have an impact over transaction speed, making ETH faster than ever before.

While ETH's prices may not increase for long, since its supply is not limited, it would still be a profitable journey for those early ETH investors when it switches to PoS.

Nevertheless, it would be quite interesting to see what happens this year for ETH, as well as ETC. Just my opinion.  Grin

Thanks mate. It seems like another good PoS coins worth holding. As long as price remains the same or keeps rising, then I would get ROI in no time. One good thing that has attracted me to it, is its inexpensive price.

I will try it on my Raspberry Pi and share my results when I ROI.  Smiley

Butters makes some KEY points on why POS systems are fundamentally superior for the investor (HODLrs).

It will take time, POW matrix still has captured the general attention.  Yet POS offers something completely different.

Thanks for the information. I have found it a very detailed explanation about how PoS works and how it gives an advantage over PoW mining. Luckily, PoS may become a hit, once ETH releases its Casper PoS system, along with sharding which I believe that it will be a huge game changer for Proof of Stake cryptocurrencies. It will be interesting to see how will this drastically change the concept of PoS, and what impact will it have on coin's market price, once altcoins implement the new PoS system.  Grin

Thanks for sharing this list of recommended PoS coins, mate. I hold TALK myself, but I'm not receiving too many stakes as I don't usually leave my PC running always with the wallet open. Still, it is a very great coin to hold onto for the long term as it is a community supported coin that would aim to survive for years to come.

Lately, I've been looking more into PoS coins with high stake rates, as well as those that don't require your wallet to be open always to earn stakes. If there are any good PoS coins that could meet above criteria, then it would be nice if you or somebody else could share them with me.

Nevertheless, I'm always buying inexpensive PoS coins, staking and holding them for the long term in case one of them spikes in price sometime in the future. Looking forward to really make profit from coin staking.  Smiley

I think monero also great for long-term investing, because he's got a lot of big investors and have high quality looks like it will survive in the future.

I stake pesobit, bitbean, putin, 1337, CJ, XDEII. bitbean and 1337 have 1-2 satoshi, but the game is not in btc.

While these are really great coins to stake, they are very inexpensive and most them turn to decline in value over time, leaving you with less BTC at the time of selling that specific PoS coin.

But still, if it wasn't for that, you could profit a lot from staking these coins, especially 1337 which has a high stake rate.

I hold 1337 and XDE II, hoping to get a nice return in a couple of years from now. Just sharing my thoughts.  Grin

IMHO, Cosmic

Price is low (yobit only atm but that could easily change) and its under 1,000,000 coins total (not for long but will remain ~1mil for a long time)

What does that cosmic coin have to offer than we haven't seen a million times already? You can't expect any investor to buy a coin only because it has a relatively small supply. Sure that may be better for a quick and dump, but some of us want something that is solid and you can hold at least mid term. And even for quick pump and dumps you need something of substance unless you want to wait and see if you win the whale lottery (that is, holding some random shitcoin that gets pumped by whales out of nowhere).

Remember for buy ether at the price was being lower... They will be migrating into PoS and it seems they were showing effects.

I'm not lost my train with ether.

Yeah. Even though ETH has suffered from many attacks such as The DAO hack and DDoS attacks, I have the feeling that this new year of 2017 it will emerge stronger than ever.

It would be a good time to buy cheap ETH, to hold them for the future once it migrates to PoS, although I'm not sure if it might decline in value with this change, as the majority of PoS coins are very inexpensive when compared to PoW ones.

But perhaps I'm wrong, and we could see this year full of surprises for both ETH and ETC to emerge as powerful platforms for smart contracts. Just sharing my thoughts.  Grin

I gave up my eth a month ago, although I still think it's a promising altcoin. Am looking forward to how it'll do after shifting to PoS

I have seen many PoS coins decline in value over time, making your stakes less profitable than ever.

However, even though this happens, there are a very few coins that prove to become worth to hold for the long term.

Nevertheless, I would like to know which PoS would be best to invest into these days, according to market movement. I'm always on the look for good PoS coins to put my money into, and make my profits grow for the long term.  Smiley

If you are going long term, that rules out any coins with high stake awards of course. User adoption can't keep up with the increase in coins.
With low stake awards your gamble is that the value of the coin will increase, and the stake is a bonus. That's a lot safer long term strategy than high stake awards imo.

Stake should be anywhere from 1% (long term) to 5% (medium term)

My favourite is BitBay of course (1% stake). Very comitted and competent dev, The most advanced wallet in crypto with marketplace, smart contracts, trustless escrow, pay to mail, and more. A lot more in the pipeline. Market cap increased from $156 000 to 1 mil dollars during 2016, and holding like a king during this btc rally!

You should go for top altcoins in marketplaces. They are good for holding in long term. Dogecoin, litecoin, waves, xmr, eth are good coins. You should go for them. Its really hard to trust other coins these days. Some are just scams. It better to buy reliable coin since you are going for long term trading.
