I think some improvements makes an altcoin valuable, when some technical changes or some other good news form example when the coin is added in new exchange and also good exchange then this good news will impact on the value and price.

Technically talking, an altcoin has value for the same reason everything else has value - people are willing to assign that much value to the object. The more altcoins are widespread as currency through mainstream companies can add value. also, features and mentions in crypto and mainstream media can aid its legitimacy.

Likely the purpose that project will serve. If a project is good and backed with some good features. This will prove to be a big asset for the alt coin and interested investors in the project.

I think what makes the altcoin valuable or not is the contribution and service they develop for the ease of the world's people, and their contribution to cryptocurrency.

I think whether bitcoin or altcoin, only more people will be more valuable. The social media related altcoin you develop should be a project that is easier to be accepted by others, so that there is potential for development.

Go and research deeply on the reasons why you are developing your coin. For which community? aAnd on what purpose? How are the community going to be convinced and support it? Especially the qualitative ones among the community. Ensure you initially build a very friendly community for your coin with no exceptions to the qualitative ones. Never rush to the project thinking about the profit you may generate from it alone, because this may fail out. But when the mindset of effective community building is there, slow and steady, the coins shall get the adequate value it required to go. Good luck.

There is a lot of reasons that make one altcoin valuable! The value of an altcoin is directly related to the demand for the coin. The greater the demand, the higher the value. The more usable an altcoin is, the more non-investors could be interested in the coin as a simple cash alternative. If the coin can be easily and quickly moved between users, this coin will be preferred over other altcoins which may be slow or have a more difficult process involved to make transfers. The community behind a cryptocurrency can greatly impact its acceptance and growth. If the altcoin is being pushed to market by a small group of developers, hoping miners will jump on board, the coin will tend to have a long slow growth curve.

Foundation technologies is what makes altcoin valuable. The main thing which makes a digital coin more valuable is the hype that particular coin has created in the cryptomarket which the money invested in its marketing.

I agree. Good and advance technology of cryptocoin will gain the trust of the majority of crypto believers. I myself will look the capacity of cryptocoin before i invest. Good technology and brilliant team behind the project will gain the trust of the people. Top altcoins are good example of it like ethereum, litecoin, neo, and dash. They became more popular because they have the tools that makes them more valuable.

An altcoin will be valuable as long as people want to use it and demand for the coin. A coin that has a strong community of investors will always do good no matter what happens. Especially if an altcoin has a good product that people can use and apply in their everyday transactions then the price and value of the coin will most definitely go up and keep doing so for a long time and it has a better chance of surviving the market.

The way to create an altcoin with some value is mostly the idea behind the coin, what will it be used for and is the business model either unique or proven successful. It will also need to have a large and supportive community behind it, people that are either willing to invest the time to work for airdrops and setup master nodes or people that will contribute with funds during an ICO.

In my opinion the community gives it value. As it is with every currency, if its not used and accepted by the people there is no value in it. Same goes for gold. After all that is also just a metal, if people decided to value iron more and do use that as a store of value that is commonly accepted, this maybe would be todays precious "gold". Smiley
Everything is worthless until the human - the owner of any market in the world - set the value. Remember, prehistoric times have no concept of money because human intellectuals have advanced and have created a diverse monetary system as they are today. The name of everything is also created by this rule.

I think the big help is to listed your coin in a big exchanger like Bittrex, Binance, Poloniex etc. Because big crypto traders are there especially for those whales groups and you need to get a great investor plus always have community groups to help success of your coin.

I'm developing an altcoin that is based on social sharing. What foundational technologies are going to make it the most valuable? What makes an altcoin valuable? I'm wondering if it is just how much people hear about it? Thoughts?

You can get value from the following things:
Your product is really needed by people;
You have a big community, which is ready to support your idea;
And may be attention from media to your project.

An altcoin will always be valuable and superlative, if it has a good and genuine road map and a working product to show for it.
