As of right now, its Zcash of the two, and i say that as a holder og Onions and supporter of the project.

Monero and Spectrecoin (XSPEC) are the best anonymous coin to buy for long term.
No one has anything up against Zcash, no idea why people would prefer Onion - yeah you can integrate it with the browser but besides that Zcash has been by far the most innovative solution to make transactions as private as possible. They have even implemented the tech in JP morgans, and Ethereum will in the near future implement Znarks as well. Isn't that enough evidence to show that Zcash is the superior crypto coin? I hope to be seeing the other companies keep this up, because it's competition what drives the market and what drives innovation, I think we'll be seeing some other companies trying to go up against Zcash and I hope they will - cause Zcash will crush them.
I would have to say DeepOnion. The community and devs behind it are huge and that is what keeps a coin going. Monero today but DeepOnion tomorrow.

Right now, DeepOnion is the best anonymous coin to buy and hold for long term. The price is very undervalued right now. When people realize the usefulness of the technology DeepOnion is offering, the price will go high. DeepOnion is my choice. It's very young and has more room to grow. But the technology is very good. That's why DeepOnion is my choice.
