....I think it is quite possible a technologically superior extraterrestrial being could pull much of this off. ....

That statement has been guarded against in the various creeds by making the JC "the son of god" with a bunch of mumbo jumbo about trinity, and various other beliefs such as "personal relationship with God," eg, not a low level representative of him.

But there is no question, the universe is far wider and richer than we can ever know, and we have only seen a small amount of what is likely out there.

That should be enough for anyone to stop believing in Bullshit 1.0, and all other versions that were based on it.

Did you know that there are magic stones inside the Moon's core that influence our mood swings?  Go ahead start your religion.  Call it Bullshit 4.0

Hmm, if we found rocks in the moon core with a high content of lithium, this may be possible. Don't you know that modern pharmacology has it's roots in people performing "magic" and brewing up potions? Some of that "magic" actually worked.  Cheesy

But if you come out and believe in all major religions, all I can say you are definitely delusional as the fundamentals of each religion are based on nonsense.  Pregnant women cannot be virgins, people don't come back from dead, horses do not have wings to fly to outer space, people cannot part oceans to cross on land.  If you can demonstrate that any of it is possible, please post a youtube video.

Perhaps not 2000+ years ago; however, with the modern miracle of science, it is quite possible for a pregnant woman to be a virgin. Also, emergency rooms bring back people from the dead all the time. Perhaps not people that are dead for more than a few moments, but brought back nevertheless. Furthermore, science is getting better at genetic engineering. It may be possible to create a horse with wings that can fly. Probably not all the way to outer space though and the horse probably could not be full size. (Although some pterodactyls were quite large.) Also, we cannot part the ocean at this time. However, a few more advances in science may make even this feat economically viable.
Personally, I consider myself an agnostic. However, I think it is quite possible a technologically superior extraterrestrial being could pull much of this off. What we can do today with our fingertips would have been considered quite magical one hundred years ago.

....

In the end, it does not matter as there is no scientific evidence of God's existence, so it is a moot point.....
Look up the definition of delusional.

FYI, although you may well know this, someone who is 100% certain that God exists is NOT a believer, or a person who has faith.

At least the Christian theology I am familiar with, and the writings of JC, are very clear about these matters. Look at the way JC slammed people that wanted to see miracles or "proof."

etc, etc. So you have it correct, and the religious should be agreeing with you instead of arguing.

Atheist teaches, and the religious listens not.

The only thing that an atheist is trying to do is, set up himself or mankind up as God.

At least the agnostic is smart enough to understand that there is a God far above mankind.

Cool

The atheist does not set himself up as God, in fact an atheist thinks mankind evolved from microorganisms. In the distant future, some potentially more advanced species might overtake us and consider us homo sapiens as primitive animals too. There is no God in atheism, the concept is a man-made fantasy.

The agnostic is not smarter than the average atheist or theist, he basically claims the evidence are insufficient for both sides, and admits that the truth is beyond our understanding.

A theist understand that God is much greater than he is. The theist knows that his own ideas might be flawed or incomplete because there is a God.

The atheist is making his own determinations about his incompleteness. So, he is setting himself up as God, even though he says the opposite. After all, there is nothing greater than he is that makes his own determinations. So, he is essentially saying that he has God-understanding to make his determinations.

The dictionary says that "agnostic" means someone who understands that God exists - https://www.dictionary.com/browse/agnostic.

An atheist is not a thinker he is a believer .

An agnostic is a thinker and is willing to admit he or she is not able to answer most questions.

God or no God.  I don’t know how I can answer it honestly.
 That is an agnostic.
No god is an atheist he places his belief on nothing.
Yes god is a reglious believer he places his belief on everything.

Me = agnostic

Was once a religious believer.

Are you sure that agnostics are thinkers?

They are just as dumb as the religious fruitcakes, IMHO.

Why would anybody dismiss the idea that there might be a God who is as far (or farther) above us as we are above the microbes? After all, the machine-like qualities of the universe, physics, and science laws show that God exists. Machines have makers.

Cool

A common mistake, I don't blame you, just like I don't blame notbatman who thinks the Earth is flat.

That is ok, try to read more

http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CI/CI100.html

Complexity is not the same as design. All you have to do is look the words up in a dictionary to know this. But that is not the point. The point is machines.

ALL man made machines come from people using the examples found in nature. This shows that nature is a machine made up of machines. Machines have makers. Who or What made the machines of the universe and nature and physics. We have no even close to proven example of anything just happening spontaneously.

All that the complex design part does is to show that the universe Maker fits the classification of our dictionary definition of God.

well i am not an atheist, i am actually the maximum possible opposite of that.

The maximum possible opposite of atheist is a person who knows God exists 100%, zero doubt.

The maximum possible opposite of a person who 100% knows that God exists, is a non-existent person... or at least one who is dead.

An atheist might only be a person who is unaware of his knowledge of the existence of God. But the more he fights God by being a self-proclaimed atheist, the more he is a liar.

Cool

hahaha

But isn't this true ^^^?

I enjoy a thinker who is willing to admit that he doesn't have all the answers... just like me.

Is my imaginary friend imaginary?
um... yes

If he is imaginary, how is it that he could give me such good answers that you can't rebut them?

Why the fuck would I want to rebut answers from your imaginary friend?
I don't argue with the tooth fairy or Santa Claus either, ftm.

Too bad you like to live in your feeling of being in control. It's a good feeling, as long as hard times don't show up.

Cool

Did your imaginary friend tell you that too? I'm not in control of anything that really makes any difference,
except for maybe silly twats on these boards. Not that that's any big accomplishment or I really care one way or the other.
Nahhh, hard times haven't shown up yet, but maybe they will when your imaginary friend smites me for not bowing down to his almightyness,
but tbh, I'm not holding my breath....

You, because of your lack of loving God causes yourself to write things against God. God doesn't want you to keep on smiting yourself this way, but if you persist, He will let you smite yourself all the way to your big self-smite... Hell.

Cool

Back to threats of tortures in hell? Isn't it a bit too early?  First, you should have explained to him how he can be saved if he only listens to his imaginary friend etc.

Drowning man thrashing out against someone trying to save him.     Cool

You got this backward mate, I am the one who is trying to save you.

But I don't think you can be saved, you are far too gone into your religious la-la land.

Yet it is YOU who calls my warnings threats.    Cool
