There must be a change, ethereum is a coin that is supported by hundreds of tokens so if ethereum overcomes bitcoin it will make the market excited because it will have a direct domino effect on ethereum-based marketcap tokens.
Probably these people just have Ethereum and therefore they want the growth of this coin!
My brethren, are you sure people will choose ethereum over bitcoin? I don't buy your idea. It will always be the other way round. People will always choose bitcoin ahead of ethereum because, bitcoin really thrives well in the crypto market and again, bitcoin has a higher value than ethereum. The small amount you have, you are earning much in dollar equivalence.
Now, many are starting to invest in buying Ethereum, while the price of the coin remains quite low. Therefore, they expect that over time, Ethereum will become more expensive, and investors will get their big income. Personally, I prefer to distribute my investments in different coins, I am sure that BTC will continue to be a confident king of the crypto market.
Personally, I do not want the situation on the crypto market to evolve in this way. Although I understand people who are hoping for Ethereum leadership. They probably just invested the bulk of their money in buying Ethereum. Therefore, they hope for a gradual rise in prices for Ethereum in order to get income.
I never bothered that ETH should cross the Bitcoin, look at the market and companies have faith in Bitcoin compared to ETH because due to scam ICO's the price of ETH kept decreasing in the market. See many companies has applied for Bitcoin ETF it means they are showing very much interest towards Bitcoin compared to ETH.

Bitcoin is now in the first place because it is the most decentralized, the safest, the very first and the most recognizable coin. But it has obvious problems with scalability. Remember how lagged and what kind of huge commissions bitcoin had on the past hyip? This is a very big bitcoin blockchain's problem that needs to be addressed. I think a strong increase in capitalization, we can expect only if this problem is solved. Ether also has the same problem.
That problems of that blockchains must be solved. If not, cryptocurrency market needs the same secure and decentralized blockchain as the ether and Bitcoin, but with good scalability.

The reason is quite simple. They want ethereum to repeat sucess of btc,because it cost lower and they want to receive profit of such incredible movement

Because they want to remove the imperfect coin, in which there are many flaws and replace it with a cheaper one with great prospects. It is bad that it is impossible to unite them into one and create an ideal, because of the difference in technology. But let's see how investors will continue to act and whom they entrust their funds.
Because they're holding ETH and they want ETH to over come BTC so that their ETH could give them a lot of profits.
Yes, I also often met such opinions. I think that most of these people who hope for this development are those who continue to buy and hold Ethereum. After all, its price is now quite low, so you can make profitable and promising investments for the future.

I think one of the reason of it, is an easy to access to any thing in cryptocurrency and low transaction. 
no one wants that every coin has its own utility they are different by design and complement each other in the long run we will see more serious competitors to ethereum
Those who have invested in ETH, or are participating in ISO based on the base of this coin, want it to surpass bitcoin. But many remain fans of Bitcoin.

I think those ones people who invested money in ethereum want this altcoin to overcome a bitcoin. A bitcoin and ethereum just go hand by hand. Why do they need to compete? They are so different. The bad thing about ethereum that many scammers are using its platform to scam people.

There is only two possible reasons why people want ETH to overcome the value of Bitcoin. First is that, ethereum has a bit lower transaction fee compare to bitcoin and other altcoins which saves them a bit money, the second is that they have already saved much of ETH in their wallet.
Well i'm pretty sure that the transaction fees would considerably go up as well in the case that btc is overtaken. And more people are still into btc than eth right now if you're.going to compare.
I think everyone is pursuing his personal interest and we all have rights to do so, as for me I prefer Bitcoin to be more stronger because if Ethereum is more stronger it will breeds more scam ICO projects who will use Ethereum platform to scam more investors.
As ethereum has many characteristic than bitcoin. Ethereum has composed belief representing investors. ethereum is appropriate representing everybody largely learners . Ethereum desire breakage the maximal spot of the keeping bitcoin in the forthcoming .
I hold several ERC20 tokens, and they are all connected for the price of the ether. And so I want to see ETH ahead of BTC!

This is impossible for me specially today the problem of ETH network is keep coming up, for example the rise of ICOs who wants only the money of their investors (The scammers and Fraud). How they can solve that kind of problems, until now there's alot of ICOs who failed to deliver their product. If they deliver the product but it's too far away from their plan or roadmap.
