All is due solely to the greed of people. If they did not strive to earn more money, the idea of this would not even have occurred to them, because Ethereum is a purely manipulative asset.

Who wouldn't want to do X5 on their asset? I personally want NEO and ADA to overtake Ethereum. Of course I'm not sure that's possible, but I still have the right to wish.
This is special group of people who are mainly bounty hunters and some investors in eth based tokens. They just want their tokens to grow in the value thats it, there is nothing more to it.
Because it is newer, has smart contracts, serves as the platform for many ICOS and transactions are faster and cheaper.
People are just dreamers. They were so assured that this could happen, that they stopped thinking critically and the only thing they can do is live someone else's dreams.
many people want altcoins to come out from under the influence of bitcoin so many people have placed their hopes on ETH thinking that it can surpass bitcoin
People bought it at very high prices and the only thought that they are gnawing that it can outgrow Bitcoin and they still earn.
ICO's and sellers inside of marketplaces like to accept Ethereum so that is part of why they would use it over Bitcoin.

Greed. People want everything at once. Bitcoin at this stage can not provide this, which is why they are looking for other projects that have such opportunities.

I also don't know for sure bro. maybe they think Etherium is a Coin that can catch up / accompany bitcoin in the future. and etherium transaction costs are cheaper when compared to the cost of bitcoin bro ..

talking for my self i want Ethereum to overcome Bitcoin because i see Ethereum, like Eos and Ela, like the real application of the blockchain with all the dapps and utility tokens created on these blockchains. with bitcoin there is not so more to improve, it is there to stay and we are ok with that. but all the other blockchains can evolve themselves and the technology and improve
I think this is all because ethereum has a large number of users. As soon as it disappears, all users and, accordingly, their capital will go to Bitcoin. This is my opinion it may differ from yours.
I think all this because most of people got profit in eth and they have his large number which they weren't in time or haven't wanted to sell at higher price than now.

Although cryptocurrency are volatile in nature but Ethereum is much more stable then that of bitcoin. And this stability of Ethereum attract many investors towards Ethereum for long-term investment purposes. Another reason because of this people choose ethereum over bitcoin is Ethereum less traffic transaction then that of bitcoin. Because of this Ethereum provide fast transaction then that of bitcoin.
No, this is probably said in order to manipulate the price of both assets. it seems to me that these two projects can exist and develop without interfering with each other

Many of the project which people invest or hodl the tokens are directly dependent on ethereum and yes people make a lot of profit from eth and eth based tokens
In natural law there is like an unwritten rule that a pioneer who will always remember. As well as crypto,a lot of people think that crypto is just about bitcoin without thinking altcoin,it shows how popularity of a token,btc will still be a pioneer. Various ico using erc20 and make eth more and more popular but a lot also the fact that eth so many times gets hacking attacks. Although eth is quite long but it does not mean that will be able to beat btc.
