We have a lot of hopes for the following year, but I think the important is we learn a lesson from 2018 and 2019 by making us mature investors. My hope for 2020 is not only to altcoin but to the whole of cryptocurrency. The whole cryptocurrency is still struggling to create a good reputation in the whole world. And while it has already achieved some nice stepping stones, it is still not in the mainstream as we would want it. There are still some few shops, restaurants, hotels, and so on that accept cryptocurrencies. There are still so few countries that acknowledge its function and existence.
2019 had been not so good for altcoins as this year has given us number scam projects and as a result, some of the genuine projects have been failed wherein people just pretended any projects with ICO as a scam. I think 2020 will bring new hopes and some good project in the market by considering 2019 as a learning area.
I only hope for better future in 2020, generally not for altcoins all alone but the most priority is bitcoin. When btc bounced at greater value, I guess this would brings good effect to several coins that relied on its trading economy. More exchange transactions will abundantly arising because of increasing demand of buy and sell. If there's a good trend for 2020, let's see what will happen on the start of the year.
Many people aiming to see a good future together with BTC since in the first place there's a most awaited halving that could lift someone's trust since we all know that season can thrive us to believe again how strong the BTC is and I have a good feeling that in year 2020 we can see a good rise with the demands which could lead a healthy market of bitcoins the same with the altcoins.

I don't think investors want to invest in ICO or new project anymore in 2019, i'm sure investors would likely to invest on existing coins that already big morover next year will be bitcoin halving so investors will save their bucks for invest some bitcoin for goods, So, next year is not year for new projects because investors are losing hope with new projects

IEO still works well, but in order for the IEO to help investors make a profit, the market conditions must be really good. If the market continues to be as bad as the past few months, I think that even if we have any new forms, it is really useless. In 2019, there are many people who make a profit by investing in altcoins. Include 2018, both years weren't good for ICO and IEO is also a contender. The early time of IEO became good but it's fate changed at the end of this year. Many lost interest to it because of the same scheme as it has with ICO. For 2020, I'm not thinking anymore about ICO or IEO or STO but if there will be another revolutionized kind of investment and crowd funding, what that could be?A gov't entitled and intervened crowd funding? well, if that's going to be the next thing many will rush to invest to it again and then will share the same fate with ICOs.

the first half of 2019 wasn't that bad for altcoins
overall yea it was a correction year, and i believe that in 2020 it'll be much better
I don't know if we should expect a good price going up movement to altcoins this coming year but as an optimistic person, I don't close the door on hoping that altcoin will recover. Mostly 2017 investors already gave up on putting their money to cryptocurrency cause of what they've experienced. So the last 2 years results are affected by a scam and fake projects.
I think it is a cryptocycle. after bull run in 2017, cryptocurrency would decrease in these 2 yearsit is what happened in 2018 and 2019. most of coins going down and even turning scam
but, in 2020 would be different. Bitcoin already shown its performance after increase from $ 3,500 to its ATH this year $ 13,000

There is always hope but not among projects that are scam. Scam projects and shitcoins will not have hope because they will sooner or later perish. The ones that will have high hopes in the coming year of 2020 are the only those that have actual role in society. If coins are there as shitcoins that are supporting no actual products with no economy either, then they are hopeless.

There aren't too many positive signs so we can hope that 2020 will be a great year for altcoins. Keep in mind that altcoins have just achieved ATH in 2018 and until now we have only spent 2 years for the crash, so in my opinion we need to wait at least 3- 4 years or longer to see the same growth as early 2018. But I'm pretty sure that altcoins will never be able to achieve ATH again. There are too many dead projects and there are still too many scam projects. For sure. With the halving coming up and a potential ETH2.0 renewable I think that it is safe to say 2020's crypto prospects are much better than that of this year's at the very least.
However, just don't hold too much hope in having something the magnitude of 2017, because that clearly won't happen again.
And also expect bitcoin dominance to remain high, because BTC will be what's driving this round of bullish activities, not alts like 2017. Because institutional investors will be at the forefront of the market this time around.

Hoping so, because if most of bigger altcoins continue with bear market continue, it will be harder to rise. I am pretty sure that some of them do quite well still, but it takes more and more time to restore the trust of people that lost almost everything.
Let's do hope in year 2020 everything price of crypto on the moon. That is right, in the previous year 2018 and 2019 all projects ended up scams or not listed on an exchange and consider as dead. Some good projects will be appearing in the next year and that's true but not all of the project, just small percentages of the legit project will appear next year. There will be so many big news about that and especially for the updates regarding libra projects and many more. Bitcoin halving will become the main bet for the whole of crypto users about the price of crypto in the future. every year will always give the hopes to the whole of crypto.

the more money in this scene, the more bad actors are being attracted, all hoping to bring BTC down enough to get in cheap again : /
I dont think their will be necessarily NEW 2020 projects, but rather the results of years of established projects work coming to fruition, i.e ETH 2.0, taproot,near, so many things
