bitcoin has now huge drawbacks like slowness of the transaction confirmation, hence i think people will move another one or more crypto curriencies for their easyness

It will take such a long time. But in the end the technology evolves with an amazing pace. The whole crypto world could be replaced at certain point with something else.

ETH has the potential to replace BTC in terms of technology, but no price.

Currently there is no altcoin replacing Bitcoin. but someday there must be and currently I see the potential to replace Bitcoin is Etherium. many features of Etherium are not owned by Bitcoin.

Ethereum showed a lot of promise, but now it is on the decline. The rate of adoption has stagnated and the user base is not increasing. And moreover, right now ETH is under serious threat from BCH, for the competition for the second most valuable crypto-currency (in terms of market capitalization).

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

This is a subject for argument. The thing is bitcoin is one of the longest running crypto currency around. Therefore, replacing bitcoin as number one is a difficult thing to do. Bitcoin's reputation has to be ruined first, which is unlikely to happen.

Yeah?, maybe in some instance. The miners are still mining and discovered many types of coins that can be famous someday and replace bitcoin.

I think future of crypto is a very interesting and important topic.. and I want to learn more about it and from my experience, I feel that conferences could be a good way to learn... I found this one https://blockshowasia.com/ and I'm thinking to go, but tickets are not so cheap, but I suppose it could worth it... what do you think guys? have you heard about it?

Interesting  Shocked Is it that one in Singapore? how much does ticket cost?

Yes.. It's a bit expensive, but there is a promo code I used for 30% discount, VIP30, you can use it too if you want

I don't see Bitcoin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency in near future. But things may change in a few years time. Then ETH will be on the queue to replace.

I think it is very possible, this is because the new coin is certainly better than bitcoin, this is a matter of marketing and will be soon, but it may take a long time because bitcoin is a popular palling cryptocurrency.

I don't think so. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and the value of Bitcoin now is much more than before. It's like a gold in crypto world.

The value (i.e the exchange rates) doesn't matter much. If none of the holders are ready to sell their coins, then the prices will rise by default. It is the adoption and usage which should be given more importance. And one important thing which I have noticed during the last few days is that the number of BTC transactions have gone down.

In my opinion, yes bitcoin can be replaced by another cryptocurrency. But not this moment, this time bitcoin is the most popular and most expensive cryptocurrency at all. But we all know that ethereum is getting better and better. I think in the end, if ethereum or other coin got more demands than bitcoin. That is the manifestation that bitcoin will replaced by other cryptocurrency.

I dont think so. Its first place on Coinmarketcap may be replaced. But when bictoin will be just a digitall asset it could not be fully replaced. Why someone would replace ancient currency which has huge fees? It looks like if someone would replace pyramids in Giza

The bitcoin may well be replaced by another crypto currency, because it accumulates unsolved problems such as low transaction capacity and these problems are not being addressed. In connection with this, other coins based on bitcoin are created, which solve the problems of the initial bitcoin. First of all, this refers to coins bitcoin cash, which has good bandwidth and people began to massively switch to its use, so that its price for bitcoin cash reached 2,800 dollars. If this happens later, then the initial bitcoin can give way to the leader of the crypto currency.
