I never heard about this news before and it seems like a lot of crypto services are still lacks of publication from the medias. AFAIK some platform have created a fully working product too like card payment system that used crypto or instant exchange of crypto to buy gift card.

The major solution to the use of cryptocurrency is its approval by probably the government of the jurisdiction of where it is expected to be used. This is what some people are waiting for, but that is not the most important, but the approval by financial institutions, such as SEC is of utmost importance.
