If scarcity is the only point than that is not very convincing for me. With every fork you double the amount of token available, and while it might not be the exact same thing, the forks like Litecoin or Bitcoin Cash are very similiar to the original chain.

I guess that it is unreal to beat the first cryptocurrency, because Bitcoin takes almost 53% of all market. May be there is a chance for Ethereum to beat BTC.

yes ,I think bitcoins will be one day overthroned by some well developed and sustainable alt coin. It would be probably cheaper and more friendly for investors specially having the necessary features for a peaceful and cheap transfer of cryptocurrency. It will take time, but as of now, all hail bitcoins.

It will be very difficult for other coins to beat Bitcoin because Bitcoin has advanced in price greatly and has been in existence for a long time. Bitcoin has also been able to overcome the price fluctuations that has been in existence.

Investing in other coin is a very good idea its will also enhance the access rate of smart contract transaction where we can trade and focus on any other coin if perhaps bitcoin falls in market but for now I don't think any coin can surpass bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most popular crypto among any other currency its rate of operation is very unique.

Yes, it is a good idea to invest in different ICO, but do not invest without putting the necessary things in place, among which is proper research. If you invest without making any research, it is possible you invest into scam ICOs all through or ICOs that might fail, which means you may get nothing from your investment. So, if you buy series of good coins from ICOs, any of it might have the capacity in later compete with bitcoin in future.

bitcoin can be overtaken by other coin but cannot be destroyed. it has created a system, opened a door so that similar ones can enter and evaluate what it started. so, they can beat maybe but cannot erase it.
