In Eastern Europe (and many other parts of the world), there is a general distrust of the authorities. One of the users from Russia made a post here regarding the situation there. Especially among the older generations, there may be large sections of the population who doesn't want to get vaccinated. Now I am not sure whether these people would suddenly agree to get vaccinated since the lottery is there, but overall it is a good initiative from the Polish government. Also, the vaccines have limited shelf life. They need to be administered before they expire.

The vaccination campaign in Russia is gaining more and more opponents, not only for historical reasons, but also because people here and there see the ineffectiveness of vaccination. Yesterday I was at work after almost a week's absence and found that 5 of my colleagues were sick. 2 of them were vaccinated, two were not, and another was vaccinated and a day after vaccination he felt bad (apparently the vaccine hit the already weakened immunity, since apparently he was already sick when he did it). And such cases are found in different circles of different acquaintances, from the outside it looks like the Russian vaccine does nothing against infection, plus it can provoke a severe course of the disease.
By the way, we have another person at work who has already recovered, but his story is as follows: he had a mild illness once, after which he was vaccinated and a couple of months later fell ill again, but this time in a severe form.

Hopefully, people who live in a country that does not use prize money can be aware of the importance of the vaccine that can get more protection against the virus. If those people in Poland realize that, they should go to the hospital or a place that will be the health centre to get vaccinated and not because of the prize money.

The Delta variant is really hitting many countries now and the spread is fast than the previous variant. It is why the government asked their people to be vaccinated, which is expected to reduce the spread of the virus. If their people listen to the suggestion from the government, they will visit the health centre and get the injection of the vaccine and with the help of consuming the healthy food and always clean, that will help them prevent the virus.

You cannot just bribe people about lottery when this involves their lives , it looks like they will risk their precious life just because of this offering?

you cannot bring life back once taken and the issue of the vaccine is indeed spreading the world, as we humans knows what our body's capacity and tolerance .

so we cannot blame those people that deny the vaccine because they love their lives.

Its good to know that the Poland government were sincere to give these prizes for those who get themselves vaccinated.
This is an effective encouragement to people who have doubts because of the side effects that it might cause to their health.
I just hope our government do the same thing as an incentives for people to be protected against the virus while having a chance to get prizes.
I think people more concern with their health after they get vaccinated because until now, many bad news in social media told them that the vaccine can not stop the spread of the virus. The prizes is for attracting them and courage them to follow what their government suggest. Well, we do not know what impact that people will get after they vaccinated as the impact itself will be different from one person with another. But if the vaccine is one thing that the government suggested, maybe people should follow it and get protection from the mutated virus.

The prize money is to attract people to take the vaccine, but the major reason is to get them into this and try to lessen the spread of this virus, we don't know how and until when this virus will evolve as of this moment  another variant is hitting most of the places around the world and the virus is helping plus those safety protocols.

The focus of the government is to convince more from their jurisdiction that this virus is not going disappear right away, it will continue to threat our health better to take side and enhance your chance not to get infected.

Thanks for that information.

I'm also about to ask the same question and want to know if there really are winners since this was posted a month ago already.

Those folks that have won cars, just wow.
You are welcome. Glad I could help.
Those vehicles were nice prizes, indeed.
They really are indeed.

If I'll be joining any of the same, I'll aim for those but since it's a lottery. This is a game of luck so those winners of those cars are lucky indeed.

Saw this being talked about like as early as February, I cannot reiterate how intelligent and intuitive this move by Poland is compared to efforts conducted by other countries to promote the vaccination of the general public. The fact that it tickled the innate desire of humans for money is while ensuring that they are able to vaccinate as much people as possible in the process is commendable on its own. I just have a few questions concerning this sweepstakes move of the Polish Government. Is this lottery still going on? If so how are they drawing the winner? Is it similar to what a regular sweepstake supported by a government is?
Here in the Philippines, most people are not yet vaccinated since some did not go to their respective schedules of vaccination. When the delta variant suddenly hit our country, our government announced another ECQ which prohibited the public from leaving their respective premises without any proof of showing their vaccination cards.

Two to three (2-3) days before the implementation of the ECQ, people flocked all of the vaccination sites in hopes of getting a free shot. The bad thing is, all of these unvaccinated people stormed through the gates without observing all the guidelines of social distancing, etc. So, the only way to get people vaccinated is to literally restrict their freedom!

Heard about that, also heard that the Philippines mostly relied on vaccine donations because the government was so busy incarcerating drug addicts and ECQ violators instead of really doing something to absolve the breach issue. With a pandemic as deadly as this, it just doesn't make sense to risk your life going over the next block to meet your friends, these people need money to survive but they wouldn't be able to acquire cash if they won't go out. and with supplies of the vaccine being scarce, there's no way for these people would just wait for their turn despite the precautions because they need to go to their jobs ASAP.

If the spread of the virus is not stopped, restrictions will definitely be introduced again. Any restriction on mobility, that is, restriction of freedom. I think that the idea of creating a lottery with prizes for people who get vaccinated is a good idea. In my opinion, it is better to encourage vaccinations, not to force to them through restrictions on freedom.
I dont see for it to be a good idea but somehow there are people who got really interested and make their selves vaccinated but overall i dont really see the point on  why people would be risking out their lives

when it comes to side effects just for a lottery ticket.I cant really just see the reason on why it would be that something a good reason for you to get vaccinanated.

This is just my own point of view since until now im not vaccinated no matter what gimmicks or prizes that could a citizen has the chance to hit up.

Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man
Yes, there is a hidden goal here; why would you associate vaccination with gambling if you didn't have an agenda, right? Of course, gambling is one of the simplest ways (if you're lucky) to win a large sum of money, so people will try this lottery because they've already been vaccinated and take note that this is free if got pfizer. This is a wise government strategy for dealing with their people in this current pandemic, to reduce active cases and hold citizens accountable for not spreading the virus everywhere.

I guess the target here is to get everyone vaccinated. Some people may not want to be vaccinated because they're afraid of the long term effect, thus they would rather choose not to get the dose. So, this will somehow encourage those who doesn't want to get the vaccine.
But this might be the Pfizer's idea so their government will choose to purchase the Pfizer vaccine.
Nevertheless, there has been a lot of money involved in combating the pandemic, most of these money has been pocketed by the greedy politicians.

More on the Pfizer part, they are willing to bring this idea since the money that will flow once the government convince everyone to take the vaccines.

Pot money is just a small portions of what they can get after winning the deal and closing everything within Poland's jurisdictions.

Business that will bring them huge profits which really possible if more will be convinced either because of the money that stake or the variant that keeps on spreading all over the place.

I would have thought many times before giving myself the AstraZeneca vaccine - I heard that its use will be completely discontinued in the EU by the end of the 21st year due to the many complaints of side effects.
As for the Sputnik V, this is an even more dangerous vaccine (in my country it is mainly used and even in my close circle there are many examples of its negative effect on vaccinated people).

From my own experience I would say that AstraZeneca is useless against the mutant strains. In my neighborhood, there were two cases that required hospitalization, even after completely vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine. The other vaccine that is being used here (Covaxin) also has a very low efficacy against the Delta strain. And here the government has so far refused to approve the more efficient vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, Janssen.etc), since they believe that if these vaccines are made available then no one will go for the locally manufactured ones.

In my country, they haven't yet made it mandatory, because vaccines are not available in enough doses. But here many of the completely vaccinated people are testing positive for the virus, and in some cases hospitalization is also required. The vaccine used here is mostly AstraZeneca and that may be a reason for this. Trails have shown that AstraZeneca is not as effective as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. Sputnik V was approved many months ago, but the government is creating so many obstacles to import the doses and therefore it is not available in most of the states.

Yeah its been banned or been stopped on some countries due to complications of said vaccine with high probability of getting those side effects.I do just feel pity into those who got the shot since the symptoms

could only be felt after 6 months and not on the time or week after on being vaccinated. As for Sputnik V, i dont see for it to be totally safe since its new then it couldnt still able to assure that it wouldnt

be imposing any side effects too. There might be no signs as of this moment but lets see on upcoming months to come and this is why vaccines that are been tested for 5 years at least before
producing into the masses.

At first I didn't like the idea of rewarding people for getting vaccinated very much. But looking now how rewards were distributed I changed my opinion a little bit, because they didn't selected few winners only. There were tons of prizes besides cash rewards, so many people were benefited by this lottery. Besides scooters and corollas every 500th and 2000th participants were rewarded, that is a lot of people in a competition with almost 3 millions of members. Per my calculations it's more than 7000 people winning just the instant prizes.

any news what is the outcome of the lottery ? does anyone declared a winner? there are several countries that also offered the same but there are still no news if someone was allotted wins from the events.
Many people were declared winners because there were several rewards. The total amount including cash and prizes were about 4,79 million euros. Some people were rewarded in cash, while others won electric scooters and toyota corolla cars. About 2,8 million of people participated the lottery and every 500th and 2000th participant were instantly rewarded with cash rewards.
