Decentraland team just posted more details about their advisory board. Some heavy hitters on the list, including Xiaolai Li of INBlockChain and Jake Brukham of CoinFund:

I've been digging deeper into the Decentraland project. I think this team can really make this grand vision happen. (They are leagues ahead of some of the other "VR on the blockchain" projects out there -- which shall remain nameless -- that only have a white paper and a website, and no experience in this industry).

Decentraland has struck up important partnerships with other respected blockchain projects too. For example:

I'm very excited for the upcoming token sale. The team behind this project really knows their stuff and has been active in the blockchain world for years. Now, this is a cool project and let me say exactly why!

Remember Second life or played it? It was a hype everyone was playing and still, a pretty active community is active there creating their own stuff today. Reasons why Second life started to decline? The real world gets involved too much by stopping gambling and killing freedom of speech. I still remember protesting for freedom with my Dr. Phil face mask was kinda funny. I just remember I still have t-shirt creations that I made for Second Life. Who knows I can reuse them in this world.

Now take those memories into this world where everything is allowed and you have even more freedom? That is this Decentraland.

There will be token based casinos in this virtual world without the government trying to stop us and much more.

I think this is a very interesting project to invest in. Second Life 2.0 done the right way. Can't wait for full release.

the ico period is August 17 to august 26  only 10days   seriously man? i think the ico time is two short

i agree. dev team should reconsider having bounty programs to help spread awareness about this project and get more investors. Blogs, translations, signatures, social media marketing campaigns they all help projects like these nowadays
