Thanks Bitmain that advance warning about the declaration. Now I need to execute the contract with DHL, to prove the payment amount and an explanation of what is the device is. It will take all week. and I must pay 381$/2 miners

What about Order 2014-02-10? Still not received. Shipping via EMS, but I do not have a track number. in ordering the wrong track number. Maybe may order stuck at customs, but I do not know as there is no tracking number. (ORDER ID: 00120140210142436514glgD1jBn06B2)
Please find my correct track number in EMS

the antenna is pretty standard, u should be able to get it anywhere, and yes it is possible to share your internet via cable through ur pc (could be technically challenging for some), but that would mean u also have to turn your pc on 24/7.

Just ordered.

Could I connect this directly to a PC with an Ethernet cable that was connected to the internet over WIFI? That way I don't have to go buy a wifi antina.

If not any one know the type of wifi antenna i need? I have 2 Alfa cards but I don't think they are the same antenna adapter.

Edit: i have a cross over cable. I'v done it before with other laptops/PCs
Edit #2: Any one know the range on this Wifi card? I want to put this in an adjacent building.

How long would one of these take to ship to the US if i placed an order directly from the website listed in the OP?
And how dose customs work? Do I have to pay import tax upfront or only if it gets inspected?

They do 2 day UPS ship (not sure what the que size is though for China) & in the US,there is no customs fees  Grin

For US sales try:

Is there any reason I should not just order direct from the OP's website? I read nothing but good things about this vender.

nope, received mine 3 days after shipping via dhl, was lucky for no custom tax. (eu). just order from the venders site.

It looks like the fan on one of my Antminers has died.  I've tried two power supplies, and it's been in my unheated garage so a fan is barely even required.  Only had it about two weeks

Has anyone else's fan died?

I've had one fan die, and have replaced several others as they won't spin up past 1300RPM. It's bad enough that I am swapping out fans right after pulling from the box.

Nighty Night Don't Let The Trolls Bite Nom Nom Nom
Are you guys really blaming bitmain for your countries import taxes?! wtf.

People are complaining as Bitmain use to give the option of how the item would be declared, most would pick the $120 option.
No it seems Bitmain has probably had a word from Customs and is forced to write the real value, sadly he did not mention this would be the case before shipping/selling.

Even though the customers were looking to be dishonest by evading import tax, bitmain has been dishonest by not telling people their new miners would be invoiced at full amount, if he had he probably would not have sold as much and with time sensative BTC mining and low $$$ btc values, bitmain could not afford to hold onto units. did bitmain know what he was doing...... probably.

It's a semi-nosense
Before the last batch bitmain was always writing on the commercial invoice a lower value (~120 USD), so i can understand these complaints

Oh why bitmaintech, why Sad Had two more miners delivered , UPS wanted 218USD equivalent  per miner. Wish I could just refuse delivery and request a refund and to be honest would have done so if I would have used paypal/bank or similar. Fuck it, no more orders from me till this is resolved.

The price of AntMiners is falling faster than one could mine with them.  I bought four yesterday at 1.4, today they are 1.37.  At current difficulty one could only mine 0.0237 per day, so it's more profitable to wait until the prices stop dropping than to buy.

Yep, difficulty rises and Bitmain react ... knowing how hard it is to mine these days (does any other vendor do that?).

There HAS to become a point when the old trusty Antminer S1 isn't profitable to buy and mine with.

SO ... Bitmain are a business, and a clever bunch of chaps ... would it not be unreasonable to think they might have a surprise for us all at some stage ... and release a more powerful S2?

It will still be an S1 but from the future....

AntMiner price is dropping even when BTC/USD is rising.  Any ideas what they are basing the pricing on?

Tell me about it, glad I didn't end up putting in that order for 4 more last night. This reminds me of Asicminer.
