ps. why would i go else where when i have the convenience of mining here selling here and getting paid here all in one place (wish i could get payed to my paypal account instead of bank but yeah), unless your going to say i'll get more rewards elsewhere lol.

why would you go anywhere else? idk cus bitmain and antpool are bad for btc. unless your actually located in china there is no reason to use a chinese pool.

and yes you would get paid more else where. (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/lifetime-pool-luck-for-antpool-vs-kanois-or-why-arent-you-mining-with-kanois-1338693)

Has anyone purchased and received the new ANTMINER S7 BATCH 16 with One Fan?  If so, let us know the stats on this machine, especially temps.

I have found that the batch 12 run about 10 degrees calculus hotter than previous models.  Does anyone else see this same condition?

Yesterday i purchased a Batch16 S7 with a second FAN thanks to your coupon  Grin
As sson as i get it, i'll post the performance with SINGLEFAN usage and DUALFAN usage

Arrived, unpacked, configured, runnning.
Without modification, you can not adapt a second fan. My S7 B16 is new, without dust, smells new and tastes new. Running like a charm after almost three hours in ambient temperature in my room at 65°C  Grin

I have donated several and can donate a few more coupons, but I do have a batch of 50 for sale to a larger miner who is doing a big order. Looking for 2BTC for all 50. If interested, PM me and make an offer.

Thanks,

Has anyone bought and done some testing on the single fan batch?  What were some of the results?
a loud miner that can run at stock freq 700 in a 71 f room.

I did see this post on the s-7 one fan thread

Ya, That was probably me unless someone else also ran one that way... still waiting for a day in the 80's to really test out it's ability to handle higher temps... usually the garage gets into the range of 90 on a day that it is ~85F outside

But yes it is loud, around the same as the previous S7s. Although I had multiple 2 fan S7s running at the time so it was kind of hard to tell. I have a fourth unit coming to the garage Monday and will likely have to power them all down when that happens in order to reconfigure power. So I can make a good estimate on which is louder then.

turns out its going good and steady now because i updated the firmware to the new one that are coming out with one fan, answer to your question i run it for 2-3 minutes and turned it off. a few times, at the time. now its been running about 24 hours on 575 frequency, i have the  Delta 12038 12V 46.8W 3.9A TFC1212DE fans coming in, in a couple of weeks. and im worried cos the 46.8W is more then the stock fans... Sad

I have an S7 that tries to hash gets to 5 TH then gives red light starts beeping. Out of warranty. Please any ideas?

lower the freq by 1000 if

700 go to 600
650 go to 550

check temps
check fan speeds

Thanks for the quick response! 600 stops the beeping and red light but can only get 4 TH.. Tried 650 and 625 and no beeping but Red light flashing

Still having this problem anybody know a solution please?

read post 7901. you cant run the unit with just 1 fan. the firmware is looking for 2.

If it starts working and then goes into beeping and no hashing it sounds like overheating.  Do the temps go up over 80 as it revs up to 5 Th?  Even if the board misreports temps over 80 when it isn't actually getting that hot it will shut down hashing just as you describe.  You might also disconnect all the boards except one and run them one at a time to see if you can isolate the problem to a specific board.

Mine Mine Mine
im running my s7 on one original fan (one died) and the new ones come with one anyways so it starts beeping after 2 or so minutes i have lowered the frequency to 500 and temps are below 58 so thats not the issue
ghash.io picks it up minig and then when the beeping starts ghash.io drops too

after 2 mins it cuts out? its not even mining at that point. ghash might see it as an alive miner.

how long have you been running it with 1 fan? its probably looking to see the rpm from fan 2 and cuts off.

why ghash? and not something like bravo or bcmonster or kano for a pool?

for the the failed fan & running on 1 fan, u will need to "cheat" the fw by telling it that it has 2 fans. if you are waiting for a fan the tap the "RPM" wire from live fan to dead fan.

on the gui you (miner) should be seeing 2 fans but in reality only 1 fan is working.

or you may try the latest 1fan FW.

watch the temps.

hope this helps Wink

Hi Everyone.

I just need a bit of advice if possible.

Just received my latest S7 and 1 of the 3 blades is throwing out an insane amount of HW errors.

So far I have tried swapping the PSU from a bitmain 1600 to an EVGA 1600 and it still has the same issue, I have also checked for loose heatsinks and no issue there either, the other 2 blades on the machine are hashing really well with very low error rates pretty much none to be honest.

I have posted a screen of the 1 blade hashing on its own, as I tested all 3 one by one.

The blade does eventually stops hashing after around an hour or so, then when restarted its perfect for around 4-5 minutes and then dumps a ton of errors in one big go, the temp of the machine also seems to make no difference, from running at 40c - 60c, as I have tested every possible scenario and can't seem to figure out why.

I have listed what I have done so far testing wise below.

Reduced frequency
Tested in cold environment
Tested in warm environment
Tested 2 different working PSUs
Changed the 8pin signal cable
Tested a different port
Checked for loose heatsinks
Changed the Ethernet (Clutching at straws with this one  Huh)

I understand it may need RMA but if this issue can be resolved by myself it would be easier, as although bitmain support do eventually get issues resolved I understand it can take some time for the turnaround.

Same problem here.... and no kernel-log... will tinker around and see what I can do. Annoying is the fact that Bitmain does not react to questions at all. A support ticket was deleted without any response...

It runs at 4 TH/s for an hour or so then starts beeping after reducing to 600 frequency..
