Those who are fond of gambling certainly put high hopes on gambling in the hope that gambling can provide victory and will support them. But they misinterpreted, gambling is indeed nothing wrong if it is for entertainment purposes only. But many people misinterpret and make gambling their main income and they don't realize how much money they have lost because of gambling, awareness of the bad effects of gambling is difficult for them to feel, not many people realize what they are doing is wrong to fall too deep in gambling so that bad effects befall them.
However, that hope is just hope because it will be difficult for them to make their hopes come true because in gambling, they will not have a big chance of winning so they have to realize this before they even start gambling. They are better off using gambling as entertainment rather than trying to win their gambling games because it will give them pleasure and also the possibility of winning because they do not think about winning beforehand and just want to have fun at gambling. This awareness must be understood by gamblers who are still chasing wins so they are not eager to chase the win.

It is true that it is difficult to get a big win even I can make sure there will not be a big win that they can get because basically gambling has been arranged by insiders where gambling is created to make money for the company not to give money to the players. Although there are some people who consider it as entertainment but more people who make the main presence for them so that they can sacrifice all their money and property for gambling, all of that is useless if there is no luck that leads to them. With greed they can spend all the money they have even when they win if greed appears the victory will not last long. It is true that you said that they must understand the awareness not to chase victory in total.

Well that includes the bad effects of gambling, when they win instead of withdrawing all their winnings but instead increase the value of the bet so that they can win more like you said because the greed that is in them encourages them to continue gambling while they have a lot of money. Whereas in my opinion when they win it is their chance to withdraw their winnings and take a break to calm their minds, because if they still continue to gamble by increasing the value of the bet of course this can be sure to spend back the winnings they have got, in contrast to people who are wise in gambling they play with the aim of entertainment only and when they win they raise everything, simple like that is better.
If they can stop when they have won, they will not be tempted by the greed that will inevitably arise after they win. That's what they have to avoid because, after all, if they win, greed will come and tell them to continue gambling. It is true that if they can stop gambling first, it can help them to reduce tension after gambling and can make them think clearly so they can decide to gamble another day. Of course, it also helps them to prevent losses if they continue gambling.

Yes it is. but only a few people can do that, most of what I see when they win they don't stop but continue playing by increasing the value of the bet bigger. The risk that they will get may lose all their winnings that have been obtained and return to having no money and repeating the game from the beginning continues like that until there is no end. It's important to know that you're not going to be able to get the most out of the game if you don't have a lot of time to play. But it's hard to beat a machine that has been set up, and there is also no pattern or trick to beat the bookie because there are no rules, the bookie will experience defeat and big losses. So only luck will favor someone when gambling the rest they must be able to control themselves so as not to fall deeper into gambling. I myself only play on my weekends of course with the aim of entertainment but if the feeling of wanting to win is definitely there, because everyone must want a big profit hahaha.

This is not a question that is as easily answered as you just did because it should start with the definition of what a successful gambler is.

When someone gambles for 5 years and spends $100 per day gambling, that would make a total of $182,500 in cost. Now assume that he wins one huge jackpot of $2 million on one day within those 5 years. Is the person a successful gambler? What if that person had no strategy at all but someone with a strategy does not hit the jackpot in 5 years and only wins $100,000 in total, ending up with a loss?
I don't buy the idea that successful gamblers should be seen as gambling addicts because a whole lot of successful gamblers are people who are very strategic with their gambling activities instead of constant gambling which is the primary attributes of gambling addicts
Addicted gamblers are even unlikely to become successful through gambling because of the fact that they mostly gamble because of the they ain't mentally strong to do other things apart from gambling. They engage in it without being careful of how and when to gamble.
You are right, I have never seen those who are successful in gambling because of everyone who gambles, most of the time I see them lose more than the wins they get. For those who are addicted to gambling, of course it will be very difficult to be able to manage their strategy in the gambling they do, so they experience losses more often in the gambling they play, so it is very important to be able to control ourselves and use strategies in gambling so that we don't spend a lot. money to gamble.

Basically, in some way successful gamblers are quite the opposite of what gambling addicts are. Successful gamblers mostly strategize and limits their bets to minimize loses and maximizing odds for it to be on their favor which is the reason as to why they are successful on their gambling endeavors. But just as successful gamblers are, gambling addicts can also be as responsible as successful gambler however they lack the strategy to maximize their profit and continue gambling even with continuous loses.
No one would accept he's a gambling addicts, mere looking at the physical qualities, everything will turn out to be more obvious in the system. Losses and wins are viable outcomes in gambling, and everyone in the room has their own goals to pursue. We all record losses, but we make certain that our losses do not exceed our winning ratio in the system. Addicts are not the same as successful gamblers who do not use disciplinary methods to achieve their primary goals. Successful gamblers have tactics in place and are eager to accumulate significant profits from the system.
Well said. But there is a limited number of winners in the system, and if there are many professionals and almost no recreational players, then some of them will begin to lose and ultimately these losses can affect him and knock him out of disciplinary balance. This may prompt him to relapse and become a drug addict, looking for someone to borrow money from for gambling in order to win back. I saw something similar in the movie "Molly's Game". What I mean is that the line is very thin and to a very small extent I still consider professionals to be drug addicts.
Yes in a way that they don't want losing that they tend to think of how can they recover from the loss. In a way that they will seek out every possible way that they could think of in order to get back to the game. They can sell their properties or belongings to the point that when there's nothing left, it will affect their lifestyle, their sleeping habits, their eating habit, stressed emotionally, mentally, and physically.  Nothing is enough for them. They are drowning in their obsession of recovering.

A gambling addict knows no boundaries. Meanwhile, a successful gambler knows his limitations and follows it so things won't go wrong. Overspending and allotting so much time just to bet and play without proper direction in mind and assessment of the risks are most commonly done by gambling addicts. They do not really care much about the repercussions and rather continue to play and bet as much as they like. They disregard thinking about the trajectory of their gameplays and just continuously chase winnings after winnings or losses. And that's a whole lot different to those people who have plans and strategies to be successful.

Successful gamblers know when to stop and when to quit. Taking a break is never a sign of defeat. Sometimes you just really have to reflect on the things that you did - what went wrong or how you can do better, so that the next time around, you'll be achieving what you want.

At some time, being successful isn't only based on the amount of profits that a gambler has made all through the time of his gambling to the point of assessment of his level of success and what criteria to use to measure that success,  because at most just like in trading some time the loses are gathered and incubated into experience all g the line so when you lose,  in reality you lost money but on the other hand you gain some level of knowledge all the way.

So when you lose some amount of money but gain a sustainable knowledge that helps you build a working strategy,  that becomes much more better than winning all through and not having any knowledge or experience along the way,  so regardless of what it is,  you must have some form of positive sustainable strategy to be call a successful gambkers and this strategy also must covers you from addictions since that is the highest trap for any gambler regardless of how much is the winning.

It could be, but it's really hard to define successful gamblers I mean it is still gambling per se and it's very hard to live like that to the rest of your life. And if this is the way to give food in the table for your money, then something is wrong in my opinion. Of course we can't take that away from someone who thinks that gambling is a way of life and individuals are very difficult.

But it's very hard to be a successful gambler, even pro poker, at some point in their gambling activity could have lost significant amount of money already and we only see them as winning maybe in TV. But what about when they are starting? they could have been struggling up to this point in their life.

They are successful in controlling themselves when playing gambling and can really prevent themselves from experiencing gambling addiction because they know that gambling addiction is difficult to cure so they really control themselves when playing gambling. Maybe successful gamblers also experience addiction but we don't really know that. really know because we also don't know who the successful gamblers are. But what is clear is that successful gamblers really know how to use gambling and will not use it just to make money because they know that gambling is just entertainment. Many of us fail from gambling, but we can successfully control ourselves while gambling and that is what is said to be a successful gambler.

In general, those who succeed in controlling themselves are usually trained people. in other words, they have become part of the professional gamblers. They have been equipped with various knowledge specifically about gambling, especially what I know for professional gamblers in the field of poker. As for successful gamblers, they are not necessarily professionals. Also, it is not certain that successful gamblers are truly able to control themselves when gambling. Let's take an example, for example, someone recklessly gambles and risks all the money they have. Uniquely, they succeeded in winning their bets and became very rich. However, the meaning of the word success has a broad definition. Usually, success is attributed to success in certain fields. can do business, trade, or anything like that.

Well, what's interesting about this thread is what defines success in gambling. whether it is in professional gamblers. or,. because for me, the title of this thread is a little ambiguous.
As for what you said in this post, perhaps there are gamblers who are successful because they are able to control themselves when carrying out gambling sessions. It could also be that they are more aware and alert to things that can have an impact on addiction. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as what we say or even discuss. Success in gambling has a slightly biased definition. In my opinion, even if so, the impact of addiction always has the potential for everyone who enjoys this hobby. But this will be different for professional gamblers, who have been equipped with the special knowledge and skills they have learned. that's why, there are more amateur gamblers than professionals. So, in principle, we can find out and learn so that we don't get addicted. In principle, the meaning of this thread refers to gambling addiction.

Right, I think that definition of a successful gambler is better than assuming they have to make money, because then almost no one would fit that description. Maybe the title of "responsible gambler" fits this description better.

In my head still I think that a successful gambler should have net positive money exchanged with the casino.

I think you deserve a round of applause for this, you literally said everything one needs to know about gambling. Knowing about your risk management will help you avoid too many losses. There’s a huge difference when you gambling for fun and when you gamble like you looking for saving. Successful gamblers will only gamble for fun because they have acquire their money back with some profit too to enable them want to gamble again. It’s not advisable to gamble with your savings if you don’t want to cry. Most people make this mistake hoping they will recover, when the lose they become paranoia and do anything to get their money back making desperate decisions which will put them in further danger.
Like you said a wise gambler will know when to stop and look back at his actions. If he noticed his losses are greater than the wins  he can give it a pause use the time to re strategize. We should note that gambling can’t save you and it will never will. Everything happening in the platform is purely base on luck. No win is certain like we often hear when someone is about to scam us of our money by paying for a game. A lot of newbies fall for this trick they fail to understand that even the games they are buying is just pure prediction. We shouldn’t be deceived about this tricksters telling us they have sure games for sale. Trust me you are better off on your own than following any of this predictions site that is if you have the idea about the different options in the game.

Many people have a huge bias when it comes to the knowledge they acquire through their own experiences and disregard theoretical knowledge, so you could show them using probabilities why they cannot turn profitable while gambling and they will simply not believe it.

They have to try for themselves and gamble a lot before they actually believe it, however learning in this way has a massive disadvantage as they will need to lose a lot of money this way, when they could have saved themselves the trouble by just admitting the math was right.
If they instead decide to gamble a lot to find out and believe it, they will probably regret having used a lot of their money to gamble. But people who can't feel it won't see it and will gamble more often because they want to make money from gambling. They shouldn't need to gamble a lot because if they can pay attention to what they have gotten from gambling, they can see that they have lost a lot so they don't need to continue gambling.

But unfortunately, the temptation of gambling is too strong and what's more, when they win, greed will come to them and ask them to continue gambling while they have a lot of money. And unfortunately, many gamblers listen to this so they decide to continue gambling. Only people who realize that gambling will not provide many opportunities to win will not continue gambling and will choose to stop gambling because they know there are many problems they will face if they continue gambling.

Just as there is a difference between a typical gambler and an addicted gambler, there are also differences between a successful gambler. A typical gambler often makes various negative comments when gambling loses, while some give up gambling or engage in various types of guilt. But no such trait can be found in a successful gambler. Successful gamblers do not regret when they lose but are prepared to set the next bets. They know that losing will lead to winning but in the meantime they have to reach specific goals.

The addicted gambler has no other knowledge. But those who are successful gamblers are able to have enough knowledge about anything. Those who are successful gamblers they always aware of their win-loss situation and aiming to set their goals. But if I look at the goals of an addicted gambler, I see there is no set goals.
Gambling at home All gamblers must have knowledge of what they are doing. In a game where the gambler looks at his opponent, This is where it depends on someone bluffing in the game to get your money at the table. All gamblers do not have a definite goal, they are just addicted to playing how to increase their income from gambling, hoping that today they will get a profit from gambling. If they get the opposite or lose, successful gamblers will continue to play and play again?

It is easy to make conclusions about gamblers who are addict because they make it very obvious that they cannot do without gambling.Addiction comes the moment you can no longer control yourself about a particular thing. But there are some persons that we see as successful gamblers, they are termed successful because they have had the good and bad experience about gambling, and have known the right root to take while gambling. They know what works for them and what does not work for them.Yes it is true that successful gamblers are addicts to the game because it is through consistent gambling that gave them the experience, which to know the right thing to do for you to get the wins in gambling. You must have failed before becoming successful.

There are only a handful of successful gamblers in the world. By successful I mean gamblers that have received more money than what they have paid to the casinos.

Most people will just share their wins and ignore their losses.

It's all really just a show, and casinos know this.

That's also a valid point, a person who are successful can only manifest a kind of result if they continue to experienced both winning and losing while playing, they can manage to adjust from time to time as they know when to adjust, I think there's always deep engagements before you can call yourself as successful and with that engagements you'll be needing a longer time frame to keep playing and to establish your capabilities.
