It is easy to make conclusions about gamblers who are addict because they make it very obvious that they cannot do without gambling.Addiction comes the moment you can no longer control yourself about a particular thing.But there are some persons that we see as successful gamblers,they are termed successful because they have had the good and bad experience about gambling,and have known the right root to take while gambling.They know what works for them and what does not work for them.Yes it is true that successful gamblers are addicts to the game because it is through consistent gambling that gave them the experience,which to know the right thing to do for you to get the wins in gambling.You must have failed before becoming successful.

So I'd say success isn't the only ingredient in the gambling addiction stew. It's more about the mentality. Can you walk away when youre up? Or does winning just make you want to bet more? There's plenty of people who gamble responsibly and plenty of others who just can't stop. Hitting it big doesn't automatically make you one or the other.
Because the cases of gambling addictions that we have around, are made up higher number of losses being a victim of addiction more than the winner, most of those that have the skills to win consistently have a way to remain positive and be able to maintain a level of restrictions and limit that help them to leverage above the tendency of sliding into addictions.

Not completely; there are still successful gamblers who are not addicts, and there are also still those successful gamblers who are not addicts.There are people who have made it through gambling; they were lucky enough to, after all their wasted money and losses on their previous games, just one big win changed their entire story, which covered up all that they had lost, and others still remain wealthy. We have people like that, but even with the wealth that they have acquired, they still believe they can still make more from gambling, hence they got more addicted to the game and wager seamlessly. Such people, no matter how successful they are, can still be considered addicts.
There are also those who don't gamble more often, but they were lucky enough to win some big games, which made them successful, and those funds were put to good use. Still, they don't get obsessed with the game; they still control themselves and gamble responsibly. Such people are not addicts.

I don't think so. Most gamblers have goals and not only have their incomes up but also recover their losses. And that's why we see many of them are losing more because of how they're reacting to their losses. With the outcomes that are favorable to them, they're going to continue and even with the opposite, still, they're going to continue without thinking on how much they've lost and from there they are going to be classified as addicted gamblers when there seems to be no reason for them to stop and all they want to do is to continue.

I think this your perspective isn't a bad one as this could literally the main difference between an addicted gambler and a successful one, they have a big variation in knowledge both within and outside gambling but sometimes addicts could be termed successful when they happen to be experiencing a series of wins consecutively over a period of time, so at this point it could be said that success at gambling could be relative.This is in the sense that a successful gambler today may also suffer series of losses tomorrow making him not any different from a regular gambler at that point so I don't know if it will be fine to say there are long term and Short term successful gamblers and lastly there are also experienced gambles aswell. The later posseses more of the characteristics you mentioned above and the are not impulsive about gambling most of the time.

But then we must have to separate or draw a clear line between an addict and a successful gambler and also try to balance the equation of whether or not, success in gambling always comes with a lot of negativity such as gambling addictions.

Let us be honest, a successful gambler is one who has managed to have an incredible streak of good luck and has been able to retire from gambling having those net positive numbers in their site. That person is not addicted because knows when was supposed to stop and also it is successful, due to them having "defeated the casino", it could be anyone who buys and lottery ticket or spin a slots and yet has a minimum of knowledge on what they are doing.
On the other hand, someone who is addicted will continue to put their money at risk in detriment of their own financial stability.

I say this also because in the history of gambling addicts it is not a success even though they win several times or lose several times but the fact is that the addict still continues to bet without caring about the money he has earned and a successful gambler is one who can know when to quit like you say.

But unfortunately, the temptation of gambling is too strong and what's more, when they win, greed will come to them and ask them to continue gambling while they have a lot of money. And unfortunately, many gamblers listen to this so they decide to continue gambling. Only people who realize that gambling will not provide many opportunities to win will not continue gambling and will choose to stop gambling because they know there are many problems they will face if they continue gambling.

Everyone has a choice and goal to become an addict and gambler. If you want to be a gambler, you should make gambling just for entertainment and to have fun, but if you want to be an addict, just play without limits until you go bankrupt, I'm sure everyone wants to win when gambling, that's why mindset plays a role in choosing the direction of our gambling, it all depends on our own self-control.So far I only gamble for entertainment and looking for fun so I don't choose to become an addict because it will destroy what I have whether it's money or family or even work, the more I become an addict the more I will lose, but if I want to be a gambler I will play and enjoy the game without having to feel like you are missing anything.

it's quite rare to see an addicted gambler who is successful from his gambling, most of the people who are addicted to gambling that i see have a mediocre life, not very rich, like my neighbor, a gambling addict ends up living in poverty.
but that doesn't rule out the possibility that there are also gamblers who are successful through their games such as professional poker or sportsbooks or from referral links and promotions on their channels. i think they can be said to be successful gamblers because they earn money from gambling and they are not considered addicted because they already consider gambling to be their job.
