Message @Hhampuz if you are looking for a CM!

It might not be his last fight, but if you are going to ask me, he is more ambitious now in his quest to be a President of the country. He has already reached the peak of his boxing career and he has already gotten all his wealth and fame and all, blood sweat and tears and sacrifice and people understand that. I am not sure he can give both politics and boxing the equal time for him to be efficient at both. I mean, he should have achieved more if he just concentrated on his boxing career than being a politician.

The outcome of the election will dictate the future of Manny in boxing, if he won the presidency, then it's automatic that he will retire because he will have the biggest responsibility in his life and he needs to focus on running the country. However, since I don't believe he will win the Presidency, so we will most likely see more fights from him.

The election will be next year, after this fight, regardless of the result, he will be busy with the campaign and probably form a new political party. He has the popularity but he doesn't have the capacity to run a country, that's what I see too and it's not good that he will tarnish his reputation in the Philippines while he is very popular outside, he should get the support from the Filipino, with that said, he should think wisely before making a political decision.

Despite the age gap, Manny still has the capability to win this fight. He joins into politics but he is still busy on his boxing exercises making his body is in good shape even for how many years he is not on the ring for a fight. Spencer is also a tough guy but he is not tough as Manny.
Well, the best (beast) man wins. We have to find out if Spencer has something to give explosively or Manny knock him down and end the fight before 12 rounds.
Age is a major factor in any sport as your body cannot hold at the top level for a long time, if Manny Pacquiao was really training for the past two years despite his political career we never saw any footage but once he landed in US it seems that he finally got hold of a camera to release his training footage, so i do not buy that training regime on a daily basis despite his political career and if he is able to beat Errol Spence he should retire on top and only come out for the huge pay day.
Its not really necessary that every training session he would really record it and show into the public and despite of his political position then we dont know if he's still continuing on his training even though its not really that too
much but at least he doesnt forget on maintaining his shape and body condition.

Its been mentioned that this fight with Spence would be his last? https://businessmirror.com.ph/2021/06/08/pacquiao-spence-fight-could-be-my-last/

I would not believe that it will be the last fight of Pacquiao, if he wins this fight, for sure he would challenge Crawford again so he will be the king in the welterweight division. Maybe let's talk about that after the fight, but for now, Pacquiao is focus on winning the fight to continue making his legacy in boxing.

No backing down for  Pacquiao, he will continue to fight big names in boxing, and he will also continue to run for Presidency.

I read some news that he is already getting into sparring sessions, he fought professional boxers with 5'10'' height and the same style with Spence. Manny's camp really prepared for this and they will ensure they'll get this win although they are still the underdog until now.

That's one thing about Manny and his camp, they really prepared for this kind of big fights and looking for sparring partner that can emulate how Spence stance and height is. George Kambosos, Teo Lopez next opponent used to be one of Manny's sparring partner and probably will boost his confidence against Lopez.

I was surprised though to see Ivan Redkach as Manny's new sparring partner, I guess the because of the height at 5′ 9½″.

Because Manny is very popular to the media and they open the training to the media, it gives us the opportunity to see more updates about him and to see how he prepared for this fight. If we are convince that he is well conditioned, then there's no reason not to bet on him since he is the underdog.

It's not just because he is popular, he has been in the boxing business for many years and knows how to tickle the media's attention and he is a willing participants, answering questions, providing interviews. I have no doubt that there will be big celebrities that are going to visit him next, hollywood and sporting fans wanted to see a glimpse of the legends.

And for those sparring partners, this is a good chance and experience to see Manny and his work ethics and they should copy him.

Will the odds change a week before the fight and if they see how prepared Pacquiao is?

I don't see any changes on the odds unless there's an event that will happen like minor injuries during practice or something else.

Spence will always be the favorites so it's time now to consider placing a bet for Pacquiao as even with TKO or decision, the odds were really attractive.

I hope odds for Pacquiao will not decrease slightly if the odds provider will see a fierce Pacquiao during practice.

We will definitely see some odds swing as the fight gets closer. But so far, it they sport bookies put Spence as early favorite, then there is no complain. Eventhough he is fighting a legend, he still has that resume to really beat or at least have a fighting chance to win against Manny. He is tall and young and hungrier to prove himself. What we don't like though is the trash talking, anyhow this is part of the marketing of the fight, someone has to play the villain role. It will be very unnatural for Manny to suddenly become the trash talker.

Love those YT videos of Manny's sparring, still got the power to knock out or knock down anyone at 147 lbs. And Spence is no exception.

@blockman - Here are the names:

- Alexis Rocha https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/746813
- Maurice Lee https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/648938

Both 5'10 and south paw (left handed), similar to Spence height and fighting stance.

And then we have the more experienced Ivan Redkach, listed as 5'9 but he could be taller.

So Freddy Roach comes big with his sparring partners (literally) going to push Manny specially young fighters like Rocha. Manny though is used to fight bigger guys so probably just a small adjustments on his part. But he hasn't seen or box a fighter like Spence, at his prime and he is a lefty like him.

This is interesting to see if Spence can really send Pacquiao to retirement or it is the other way around? As the fight is getting near, would like to see the odds of the popular sportsbooks here, if they will change their odds or not. Because as of right now, Spence is their favorite. Will the odds change a week before the fight and if they see how prepared Pacquiao is?

I think there's no such purpose of that now like that unlike before.

Manny Pacquiao is not aiming for being a King or what but as long as the "price is right", with him getting the most paycheck for every fight like here in Spence bout, he will fight whoever it is. And Manny's camp is not challenging anyone but rather offers are coming to them and they will decide who will they pick.

Just a funny thing to think, if Pacquiao won the presidency, can't imagine a President of a country fighting at a ring lol.

Any leads who are that sparring partner with that description?

They always prepare for fights like this and there's bigger money at stake for whoever wins the match. And knowing what are the plans of Manny after this match, he sure has to win this match to get as much as he can so that he can have funds for his candidacy once he's back in the country. He wants to make sure that he will get enough campaign funds to sustain his popularity until the election comes. That's the typical candidate's action we see every time the election is near. There's even some political action that he made with his team while he's on training, he doesn't get some rest in the outside world of boxing.

No backing down for  Pacquiao, he will continue to fight big names in boxing, and he will also continue to run for Presidency.

Though there was no apparent decision from him yet, but his actions and words are obviously implying that he might be running for presidency in the coming election.
Now, there's no relevant connections from his fight up to his political agendas. In fact, it's the other way around. His fight bothers his obligations in the congress, because he needs many days to be off to make preparations and practices before the fight.

If he win and be the president, I don't think he'll continue to fight big names in the future. Again, It'll bother his obligations, and president's obligations is no joke.

He's doing it on purpose and this fight might also be part of that plan, we know he's running for presidency and that's normal in politics. Anyway, he's already starting his training and as per his coach, he's in a good condition and ready to face Spence on a possible knock out match. The result will be different here, that politics thing will not affect the performance of Manny, his team can handle that politics side.
We will have to wait and see, many times the one thing that ends up hurting those at the very top is complacency, basically the believe they will always be at the top forgetting the fact of all the effort they needed to make in order to reach that position on the first place.

And if Manny gets distracted by other things that are outside the realm of boxing this could affect his performance, now I do not think this is likely as he has shown time and time again to not be affected by this, but you never know especially if he is really thinking on running for the presidency of his country.

Trusting him is very important, despite what he is experiencing now in politics, we should still continue to believe that he will do his best to win this fight. It's not the biggest fight of his career as he has been into tough fights before, and he has proven many times how good he is by winning those fights,  so it's not right to doubt him in this fight, this man is a legend for a reason.

Even people who are into cryptocurrency will have a hard time convincing people to engage in it while Pacman owns some crypto, I don't think he has deep knowledge about this stuff. He might have been used as an endorser of some coins as he is a big name but I doubt he understands the "use-case" of the coins he promotes.

The key factors for Pacman to win is focus on training which I think will not be on his this time around.

Have you seen Youtube videos showing the everyday training of Pacquiao? (Just one example who regularly posts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FhqP4oJjPQ ) It seems that he is pretty serious with his training. As usual, he always draws crowd on him. This is really an interesting fight to watch out for. And the lawsuit seemed not discussed anymore. Maybe, they already settled or will have talks after this Spence fight.

When Pacman trains, he gives his all as f there is no tomorrow, that is the best trait Pacman have IMO.

Speed and power seem to be on Pacquaio's side but the endurance and stamina will be questionable as he is old now.

I've got my basis on that, if you look at the Thurman fight, he faded away on the second half of that fight. If not for that knockdown, Thurman could have win that fight.

That's true, but what matter is he won the fight, Thurman is undefeated at that time, he is a good boxer as well like Spence, and I think Pacman had learned from that so they'll double the effort in training and we might see the same outcome which is the win. Young vs old, we know that the stamina of Pacman reduces already, but he is in shape, that's enough to win the fight.
